ski am a bit 'meh' on all the parelli stuff cos I does think it be common sense mainly... but I don't dissaprove or anything.

also - re: laydee... hmmm... don't wanna let crown slip - but in our school yearbook thing we had a bit a the end for 'person most likely to go to jail' etc. My name was next to 'person most likely to have the most lovers' but I ain't no slag honist

skihorse · 24/02/2010 17:05

carrots Threesome obviously. Get yer numbers up and all.

iggy I'd rather people followed Parelli like religion than used brute force and fists. As witnessed FAR too frequently in Belgian yards.

I bet they voted that because of your tits.

Slaggiest girl in my class has two baybeez by two men.

ski is true - best not violence. As with dogs - and as with humans

CUNextTuesday · 24/02/2010 17:16

lol

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 24/02/2010 17:21

I should have tried harder to reach 20 while I had the chance. Am well into double figs though, AND don't remember all their names

One guy did get v misty-eyed about me before declaring himself gay, though should add that never so much as snogged him (was a bit icky) and it was pre-thesp days. Was with TSF for thesp-days so didn't make the most of the scene . I remember young, free and single days with rose-tinted glasses mostly, forgetting the tragic nights and drunken sobbing. It is best this way.....

GrumpyGasper · 24/02/2010 17:21

Oh for my days of chasing gay actors! ski's description of VAG sums up my 15-19 years quite nicely... I liked boyz who could sing, dahnce and perfohrum. I had two go gay. Luckily I also found some straight ones...

Then I discovered outdoorsy types

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 24/02/2010 17:23

rots can't help am afraid - TSF is constantly delighted by socks. Though he did like the RHS membership and also likes posh meals out.

Ponymum · 24/02/2010 19:05

ski Oh the things I could reveal... the horsey / slapper connection isn't half of it. Didn't I once let slip that I spent a large part of my 20s skydiving? If you know anything about that scene, you'd conclude that the actual jumping out of planes part is the least risky behavioural aspect. And you're right about when I met MrP. That's a lot of playtime.

Of course now I am the most respectable monogomous person on the face of the earth. It must be love...

skihorse · 24/02/2010 19:22

Pony Is sky-diving a small world? I'm having a horrible "crossover" moment. Although tbf, with all us shlags it's inevitable we've doubled up at some point.

OP posts:
Ponymum · 24/02/2010 20:21

Oh god, yes it is a small world. I think it would be best if we didn't compare notes. That stage of my life is best left well behind.

skihorse · 25/02/2010 08:54

Yes, just as well I saved myself for jailbait.

I'm going to blame occasional sluttiness on shockingly low self-esteem and self-medication using enormous quantities of vodka. Everyone's favourite newspaper once called me a "jet-setter" and the New York Times threatened to do an expose on me. "interesting times"

How is everyone doing anyway? I've decided to work from home today and have rather magically left my special key in my desk drawer so I'm unable to access everything I need. Do I drive in to the office after work or just knuckle down and get on with what I do have to do?

I think I've decided against Turkey for a holiday - I so badly want to go but I'm just not sure I can take the risk. Has anyone ever tried Center Parcs? I was thinking that also gives you the opportunity to just sit by the pool plus if it rains you're under cover... and a Dutch hospital will only be a few miles away. Or I could nip up to one of the islands and walk on the beach looking for seals - perhaps not so much swimming though. I will also be attending Newcastle in May for anyone who wants to meet up.

lol the the slaaag contest. I am fairly pure I suppose. TGO have been together since I was 19 and he was 18. he is purer than me though if you get my drift.

GrumpyGasper · 25/02/2010 09:03

oh yes, cos, my man could not get any purer...

Today the baby is mostly yanking on the back of my belly button. This hurts very much. Is it ok to be pissed of with my child already?

Also, I look like a clown in my new maternity work jean/trouser things. Simon Cowell eat your heart out.

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 09:42

ski I went there the other weekend if you remember (Penryth one). It was expensive but nice enough. TBH, if I may sound like a total and utter snob, it was like an adventure holiday for the not-very-adventurous.

Last weekend we camped in York, used the water park there which was better than the CP one (although busier and not as pretty, but it was 1/2 term), and spent about £100 in total for the three of us. CP cost us about £600 for the weekend, spread over 3 girls. In other words, I think it's overpriced and with a bit of planning you can have just as good a time doing something else (although you may want to pass on camping in the snow).

pony YOB was a keen skydiver in - what - the 1980s and 90s I suppose (about 450 jumps). He may know you - he said it was a small community! ;-) If anyone has pony's email address, email her with YOB's name to see if she knows him??? (Pony you can deny all if you don't want to be outed to me!).

Thanks for the gift suggestions, guys. ski we already have three in a bed given that I, and the rest of us, are semi-detached to another person. vag socks? Are you kidding? Bless your TSF. Mind you, previous gifts have included a water purifier for travelling (he loved that) and various travelling-type garments.

C'mon, someone else give me some ideas!

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 09:52

PS "thanks for the gift suggestions" was intended to be totally sarcastic

GrumpyGasper · 25/02/2010 09:56

sorry rots gifts aren't a big thing in our household. Usually a case of of "what do you want/need?", "well here's some cash towards it". SFF has expensive hobbies, so I usually just help with those. The one time I surprised him with a weekend away in Dublin, he enjoyed it, but it's hardly gone done in history as the best thing I ever got him. Chocolate and beer would suffice there. Saddo.

skihorse · 25/02/2010 10:13

carrots hmmmn, you could be right. Maybe then I should look for a chalet/caravan on one of the islands and we can do seal spotting and jailbait can do a sky dive (not shagging ponymum I trust). "holiday park for the not-very-adventurous" hahaha! Camping is going to be a no I think, I just can't imagine getting comfortable with a 6 month bump...

gasper We too tend to go for practicalities although I'm sure the best one I ever surprised him with was an Xbox 360. Although I think if questioned he'd say it was a necessity...

I have no idea what I'd like for a gift right now, a 52" girth perhaps?

OP posts:
SilverSky · 25/02/2010 11:08

is that for your horse or your bump? I am gutted. Today i thought was Friday. Totally pissed orff its not. So I shall mostly be spending the day stuffing my chops in a bid to beat the ms. So hard shoving dry toast into gob. I resemble small child eating sprouts with screwed up face whilst trying to swallow whilst gagging. What a beauty i am!

skihorse · 25/02/2010 11:12

PESH group knowledge pretty much agreed on cheese & crackers in the early weeks... with thick slabs of salty butter. Dry toast? Why must you insist on punishing yourself?

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 25/02/2010 11:25

I was mainly eating fruit sliver - especially grapes... but also nectarines etc. that really helped me - but does seem that different things help different people!

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 11:41

silver simply eat whatever you can face and forget the calories/healthy eating etc. As long as you're taking a pregnancy multi vit you'll be fine - it's only a few weeks (sorry ski).

Note to self: never work with children or your family

Ponymum · 25/02/2010 13:04

silver I had the most bizarre diet at this time. One thing I had success with was porridge, and it also has the advantage of not tasting too bad on the way back up. (Unlike pesto which I still can't face.) Other things were instant noodles, chocloate mousse in little pots, fish cakes, and ginger loaf.

Of course half of this got thrown away as my ability to face certain foods was very changeable. Like others have said, eat whatever you can face at the time and don't worry about nutrition. And keep a stash of special K bars in your work bag to nibble on.

rots Don't even think about trying to identify me!

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 13:30

pony don't worry, if you don't want to know, that's fine!

On another note, and I thought my ex was the biggest arse:

Take a look

SilverSky · 25/02/2010 15:18

I is not punishing myself. We is out of nosh and need to go shops innit!

Am only taking FA at the mo, what is this talk of other vits?

Food good to trough at min is any cereal bar inc those with choc!, various fruits esp clementines, crisps, jaffa cakes, yoghurt. Just going with what i fancy really!

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 16:10

Folic acid is obviously essential, but if you're strugging to eat healthily generally, a pregnancy multi vit is a good idea. Make sure it's a pregnancy one though - like Pregnacare or one of the supermarket own brands (which are much cheaper) as regular multi vits have too much vit A which isn't good for the baby.

Mainly it covers you. The baby will tend to just take what it wants which can leave your body short - for instance if you're low on calcium intake it's not good for you as the baby will leach it anyway.
