carrots great info. Will smuggle those into trolley without the natives spotting somehow. Not to steal them but to prevent any gossip. You know what peoples is like when you see them in the supermercado, they get this urge to nose thru your shopping! Nosey gits.

Will i have to stop taking the FA if the multivit has is already in?

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 19:38

silver you won't need to take the FA if you take a full range PREGNANCY multi-vit. Take a look at the box, it will tell you if it's got the full RDA for pregnancy of FA - but obviously any pregnancy vit would do as essentially that it's raison d'etre and the rest is supportive icing on the cake.

Frankly, if anyone went through my trolley I'd probably deck them. It's only happened once to my memory - I met my former boss (he was my boss at the time) in the SM and he picked up a bottle of that Jersey milk stuff I'd bought as a treat for LC (LC = Little Carrot = My 5 year old son). He took the piss about it - I took it off him and gave him a withering look which told him what I thought of his rudeness, and just walked off. Twat.

Were you in the BESH group before getting diffed?

Cosmosis · 25/02/2010 22:05

I has the day off work tomorrow to go mountain biking with my friend.

givecarrotsachance · 25/02/2010 22:48

Sounds good, cos. Does your friend know about your "condition"?

Cosmosis · 25/02/2010 22:53

yes, she does. I meant pretends not to be diffed in the "doing what normos do for the day" sense.

skihorse · 26/02/2010 07:47

I has a normo. A normo tummy. Wtf is going on with our tummies? I see that iggy has reached the stage of waddling down the carriage on the central line and people leaping to their feet offering her their seats.

I haz also heard that iggy likes to change at Bakerloo.

I bought some baby clothes last night. My first. I'd been getting a little mithered that the choice seemed to either be shocking pink or blue with a train on. But, it transpires that C&A have some absolutely cracking non-gender-specific stuff. I got a full-legged romper suit (?) with a "big fish", "little fish" thing going on which is an in-joke for us so couldn't resist. A mini-hat - I don't know what posessed me there - I don't even like hats on baybees. I got a couple of legless/armless suits for 1.95 euros each. Kerching!

Today I am buying a secondhand electric breast-pump from a colleague - I can practise this weekend. Actually... I might plug it on to jailbait's willy for shiz & giggles.

Has Cheggers done a baybee yet?

OP posts:
CUNextTuesday · 26/02/2010 08:38

@ 'changes at Bakerloo'. This obsession of hers respects no social boundaries....

How far along would cheggers be now then? Tsk, it's really selfish of her to put her need to rest/give birth over our need to know whether she's popping like a pea pod

SilverSky · 26/02/2010 10:24

carrots indeed i was on the BESH freds for awhile before getting meself knocked up! The gin in that palace is by far the best I have ever had.

Melon to snack on when feeling ick does not work. Bleurggghh!

salander · 26/02/2010 10:28

mornin all

silver in the same boat as you, now ginger starting to make me feel nauseated before i even drink it - however have moved onto special K cereal - seems to working, sure can subsist on this for next 5 weeks, non

ski so excited by the babby clothe buying, having mushy moment as don't dare to think of dese fings myself yet.

right - is it ok to shag in early preg? not that i have much interest at the mo, combo of hormoney spots and nausea, niiiice- but bloke v anxious and wondering so wanted your opinionsss...

skihorse · 26/02/2010 10:34

Um... I hate to be a complete beeyatch - but kind of the whole point of BESH/PESH is that we take life with a pinch of salt being as we're not teenage mums - and we apply a bit of common sense.

Can we please put a bar on questions about whether we can eat Hellman's Mayo, chinese takeaways, have sex or baths?

OP posts:
salander · 26/02/2010 10:38

ski yes i know dear you are so right.
having a paranoia moment. is all.

SilverSky · 26/02/2010 11:21

ah but us first timers like to ask dum questions as we dont no no better do we?

Husband has got the horn. I, frankly, do not! Husband said he can see it being like this for 9months. Didnt like to tell him that its unlikely after giving birth that the thought of sex would be a priority, hence could be nearer 10months!

Other day Husband and i had sneaky peek down the baby clothes aisle in SM. We got v excited, but i soon nipped that in the bud with 'its early days yet, cool your jets boy'

Week 7 is just round the corner! Hopefully the ms will ease off or will it get worse as tadpole grows?

skihorse · 26/02/2010 11:37

Silver I'm a first-timer too...

OP posts:
SilverSky · 26/02/2010 12:01

ski clearly you is a better informed one!

Am starting to feel hungry, need to eat before the ick feeling returns. Have had 4 jaffa cakes so far.

Got doctors later.

One last fing, if you know someone whose kids have chicken pox is you safe to visit?

givecarrotsachance · 26/02/2010 12:46

sal shag away.

Replying to ski etc, personally I don't mind the odd question (I mean we all ask them) but I guess the more basic stuff should perhaps go on the monthly thread? Is that ok?

I'm a second timer and I do understand what it's like, not knowing what's going on and so many changes etc. I'm still learning. There are a couple of us here who aren't doing this first time round and I really am happy to answer questions. But if we can try to generally stick to less routine ones that would be good, if that makes sense. But at the same time if you're really worried, please ask - we'll all do anything to help if we can.

I assume you've all heard about the woman-thrown-off-bus-for-breastfeeding story? carrots is pulling up campaining pants in a fury and is off to give anyone who will listen a piece of her mind. If you're an MP, Government agency, bus company or anyone who is intolerant of breastfeedings, be afraid.

I mean WTF is wrong with this country where (controversial comment coming up but I don't care) the f-ing government can give over SO MUCH Parlimentary time to saving frigging foxes (and then, pet peeve as you know, go home to their battery chicken and child-labour produced pyjamas) and yet not be able to pass the Breastfeeding Bill to help little humans get milk from their mummys (and not just any old cow).

x 6 million

givecarrotsachance · 26/02/2010 12:47

silver if you've not had it, avoid them. You are more prone to infection in pregnancy and you really don't want to get shingles.

givecarrotsachance · 26/02/2010 12:52

Oh and LOL silver, sweetie, as soon as you feel up to it, get going with the hubbie. Believe me, if you think that you'll be getting any action a month after the baby is born you are Sadly Mistaken. It took me about 3-4 months to even consider it after LC and even then I think we did it about 3 times in total until I left my twat of an ex when LC was 2.5.

With luck you'll get the urge in the 2nd trimester. Take advantage of it

But while you're feeling rubbish, you have every right to tell him where to put his willy, IYSWIM.

Assuming one is feeling ok with it, the only contra-indication for sex in early pregnancy is bleeding, provided you've no history of early or recurring MC.

SkaterGrrrrl · 26/02/2010 14:31

Im with carrots, that breastfeeding story is appalling!

SilverSky · 26/02/2010 14:41

carrots i have had the pox of the chicken so am probably ok. Tho wont go visiting them for awhile. To be sure.

Have told husband that at the mo he's got no chance as feel horrid. Doesnt help that norks have ballooned overnight, and husband is mesmorised by new boobage.

Will try and remember to use the monthly freds for questions. Cant promise will always remember but will try.

givecarrotsachance · 26/02/2010 15:42

silver @ norks. Amazing what they can do to a man.

Don't worry too much about questions - I know what ski is saying and it's not, don't ask questions at ALL, just the regular stuff is best kept in the regular forums and this forum for really important stuff, like, "can I have bumsex when diffed", "is mountain biking safe during labour" and "what form of reprimand is most appropriate for teaching my fella a lesson if he even contemplates suggesting that if we do it again now we might have twins and you can get it all over and done with at the same time" (sorry twin laydee).

You will notice questions being asked a lot by lots of people in here. I think the last one was something to do with how many sexual partners we'd all had. You get the idea.

But at the same time if you're really worried about something, you will get support here - ok?

ski and that's just what you meant, right?

givecarrotsachance · 26/02/2010 15:44

gosh darn it, twin laydee. But you knew what I meant.

SilverSky · 26/02/2010 16:06

oh did i mention my dad is a twin?

carrots fanks for reassurance! Wonder how long before i need to go bra shopping. Sports bras should be comfy non? Pet hate of mine is wimmin wearing wrong size bra. I mean who has 4 tits?

Ponymum · 26/02/2010 16:56

Sex 3-4 months after baby born? 'E were lucky!

iggypiggy · 26/02/2010 17:30

ski I doesn't go NEAR the bakerloo line

Spooky - was the central line where I did be offered seat tho... thank fuck - after enduring the northern line standy uppy.

Right PESHies - have good weekends - see you munday.
