Can't do the travelling to the NDA, it all needs photocopying in stages, e.g. draw the walls in, photocopy, draw the electrical sockets in, photocopy, add the titling block, photocopy, add a technical titling block, photocopy. Besides, I'd end up spending whatever money it'd save on fuel!

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 10:43

PMSL warentee?? Is that a cross between warenty and guarentee? LOL

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 10:44

Hiya

Yes its got to just on like this until I reach a decision. I change my mind hourly daily.

NJ - DH thinks we will be fine to TTC now but is happy to do whatever I want, he just wants to do what will make me happy so I have to just figure out what that is! he thinks we will manage staying here for the time being - we would keep our eye on the properties in case something came up

Right I am off to have a bath to ponder this some more...

see you ladies a bit later!!

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 10:44

Warranty even, bloody hell....

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 10:46

Enjoy your bath

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 10:49

Bath is just running.

PMSL at warantee

Hooray for active convo!!

Right really going now

Diege · 16/03/2010 11:00

Hee hee, better do a bit more 'blending' then to keep us at the top. I'm techncially 'working from home'/off sick. meaning I'm answering e-mails but not in (means I don;t have to actually take a sick day - my own rules, not works ).
GRUFF, I agree with NAT, the practicalities will work themselves out...the ttc-ing needs working ON! . My dh sounds like your's - just want me to be happy...our conversation about no.5 went like this on Sat (note this was before I started throwing up and reminiscing about how dire preganncy all-day sickness for 16 weeks is).
Me: 'Right, we need to have The Talk'
DH: 'What talk
me: you know, THE talk...
dh: what have I gone.
me:
dh: riiiight....
me: well, when shall we do it?
dh: but what about bedrooms?
me: well, depending on boy or girl, s/he would share with either ds or dd3.
dh: Okaaaaayy...what about the car?
me: durrrr, we car share a 7 seater remember?
dh: Oh yeah...
me: so??????
dh: ok, I don;t see why not....

But now I am remembering the sickness and how crap I am at coping with the others when I am ill...I mean, would it be fair, even for 12-16 weeks???
ooops dh back from bike ride, better go!!

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 11:35

Diege - LOL - my DH is a cycling fanatic too - definitely 2 peas in a pod

Sickness is crap though - did you have it with all DC's?? no, 12-16 weeks isn't that long in the scheme of things. how would it work timing wise with work? could you plan it so sicky weeks were over the summer hols??or would that be worse as DD's would be home? (but at least they could help you with DS ) or is your uni hols from May/June?
I know you still have to work but at least you wouldn't have to teach??

I think you could make it work. just migght need a bit of planning!

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 11:48

Diege, what Gruff is trying to say very politely is, you know you want to, go on go on go on

Am still trudging down the list of suppliers and ordering catalogues and samples, postman is going to wonder what on earth is going on, have already recieved a load of big envelopes and obvious small parcels!

Right, must get DS3 up to bed, and put Cars on, again, for the third time today, no wonder DS3 is wanting to go to bed! Then back to the list...

Diege · 16/03/2010 11:58

NAT, sounds like you'll need to give your postie a big tip come xmas...that's if his arms haven't dropped off by then
GRUFF, that is exactly how I'm thinking re: the sickness, try and time it so that it fits into non-teaching time (we finish end of June, start Sept). I technically only have 21 days hols a year, plus I can add research leave if necessary (one of those urban myths sadly that uni lecturers have same hols as teachers!)but would be easier to cope at home, even with dds, than in work. So that would mean when for ttc-ing? Either May/June ish or the same time next year?? Thing is I'm having this brace come summer (invisalign) and not sure I'm up to taking it in and out to puke (yes, I'm 'overthinking'). Oh and yes, sickness with all 4, progressively getting worse and lasting longer...I would succomb very early to the meds this time though...
Oh and did I mention ds has his first tooth? Quite late (just 9 months) compared to dds, and boy did we know about it

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 12:01

Hehe sounds like a couple of us need to be firmly shoved pushed off the wagon

NJ - remind what age gaps you have between your boys?? and also

sparking another wagon discussion...

ladies, what are all your DC's schools ofsted rated overall??

Diege · 16/03/2010 12:08

Re: ofsted GRUFF, lucky enough that ours are rated outstanding for the primary, excellent for secondary. Wow, you are thinking ahead . I do know from being part of the team that inspects HE though, that it is all very much a snapshot, so wouldn't necesarily read too much into it...easy for me to say though with such great schools to hand .
Right, off out for lunch. Have declined dh's offer of a bike ride (I am recovering from a severe bug )so we're staying local.

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 12:41

Diege, hooray for first tooth

Gruff, I am a good shover pusher, would you like a hand?! Between DS1 and 2 there are 4y 9m, between DS2 and 3, 2y 20days! DS1's school is 'excellent' ofstead, the other one we went to view when we moved was rated 'outstanding' but we all prefered the one he's at, so figured he'd be better off somewhere he feels confident. The high school he'll be going to is 'outstanding'. I agree with Diege, on it only being a snap shot, I vividly remember Ofstead coming in to my school when I was school, for months before hand we all had to prepare, work was top notch or it was done again (seriously), all the notice boards changed, the few days the inspectors were actually in school were so unlike what it was usually like, it was unbelieveable. When we've been choosing schools, we've kind of used the rating as a guide, also looked at the ratings the school got for personal development (big thing to me!) but we've always gone off how DS feels about it. We did as a general rule disguard any 'good' and the last one (can't what term they use to describe it) but only because we had such a vast search area that we could afford to, we were looking at 100+ schools at one point so we had to trim the list somehow!

NatalieJane · 16/03/2010 12:45

Sorry x posts Tink, glad the clam diggers are nice How do you eat all those egg heads and still lose weight?!

maxxymoosmummy · 16/03/2010 12:50

heya, im back from town, managed to get DS some reins from argos, just some lindam ones they were only £5.59 so thought i may aswel. got nappies, tonnes of wipes, a couple of t-shirts, forks and spoons, and a few extra bits too including a yummy hot pot for tea :D

Rugbylovingmum · 16/03/2010 13:12

Hi all, sorry I haven't had time to do a read through but I've had a busy couple of days - I'm just popping on while DD naps but she is due up any minute.

I'm off to hospital tomorrow to have all my wisdom teeth out . DP has the rest of the week off to look after me and DD but he's out at a works do on Friday night so I'm off to my parents for the weekend so my mum can spoil us ( - how old am I?) so I might not be around for a few days.

DD is doing great - she finally worked out how to turn from her back on to her tummy yesterday and was so pleased with herself she won't stop rolling over . Typically I've been waiting days for her to manage it as she was really close but she waited until I went out to get a cup of tea before doing it the first time. I came back to find her on her tummy grinning up at me. She is just at a lovely age and spends all day giggling and babbling although when she does have a rare stroppy moment she really goes for it, screaming and shouting and throwing her toys - we're already dreading her toddler tantrums .

Her eating is going really well although I'm totally at how much she gets through. Yesterday she had a big bowl of baby muesli, some banana and half a plum for brekkie, cheese on toast some satsuma and plum for lunch then a tiny bit of salmon, loads of squash, some broccoli and courgette for tea followed by an entire pot of petite filous . She's starting to sleep better too so fingers crossed we might get a full nights sleep soon.

Right, sorry for me me me post but hopefully I can do a catch up this evening. DD's just starting to yell so I'd better go and get her up.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 16/03/2010 13:45

Afternoon- wanna do my bit to keep us in that active convo list!!

Been a dire couple of days, became really sick from about 9am yesterday... throwing up right through into the night. have only managed a sandwich for lunch... it's stayed down so far.... still feel VERY sick though!!

On the up side i weighed myself this morning and i'm at my lowest weight since having DS over 5 years ago!! hopefully once i'm better i can keep that extra weight off me!! wouldn't recommend it but i'm happier after such a bad 24hrs!!

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 13:46

sorry Diege - I x-posted with you before!! but posted and ran to have lunch with DH and DS before DH went to work.

sounds like may/june is the time then re the brace, if it comes out and in, could you not leave it out when you are really bad?? easy for me to say as mine was only severe for two weeks - anyway, Im sure you would find a way around it!

re schools - well if we move we want to settle "for good" ie not have to move unless jobs take us somewhere else so would want to go somewhere with good schools.and where we are now the secondary schools are hideous and the primary schools are ok but there are lots of bad ones so would worry about not getting a place at the preferred one. incidentally all the areas we like with fab schools are loads more expensive!!of course!but the areas are much closer to DH's job. unfortunately he works in a highly affluent area!

anyway enough of my rambling!

Congrats on first tooth Diege!!!

incidentally what does everyone brush their babies teeth with ?? we have a soft toothbrush and use dentinox toothpaste, ds has 6 teeth. should I be using different toothpaste now??

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 13:48

oh what is going on with my refresh today?? just read up what Ive missed...

GruffaloSoldier · 16/03/2010 13:54

thanks for info re schools NJ/DIEGE

Cant - good going on weight loss but sorry for sickness

Good shopping MMM! sounds like a bargain!

Tink - great re clam diggers!

Rugby - sounds like DD is coming on fantastically!

Diege · 16/03/2010 15:33

Hi RUGBY! Wow dd does sound like she's doing well - you have inspired me a bit with your meal ideas too - we're a bit stuck in a rut tbh, plus with nursery giving ds 'tea' at about 3.30, never quite sure what sort of 'supper' to give him before bed Hopefully as you say it will have the knock on effect of making her sleep better at night!
MMM I think they were the reins I got for dd3 - really good I found. Sounds like you had a good time
I also got a boden order this morning TINKS - 3 quarter length jeans for dd2, socks, hooded top for ds, leggings for dd1 and 2, and towelling trousers and t-shirt for dd3 . Nothing quite beats a boden parcel does it? . Glad the clam diggers are better - what's next on your list? Also very of your weight loss - how do you do it??
CANT sorry to hear you've had a bug too (it is a bug isn't it, not anything else??? ) I know what you mean about being pleased about the weight loss - lost 4 pounds with my bug, though I think it was mainly water as is back on this morning )Sounds like you've done really well though over the last few months. Still doing the Wii?
GRUFF you know I can't remember what we used for dd3's baby teeth when they first came through - not the thing on your finger tip that's for sure, but probably one of the little soft bushes they market for babies. I do remember all of them grabbing at the brush and chewing it to death though - not much got on the teeth!
Getting a bit worried here about lack of smear test result as yet. It's been 3 weeks which I know is nothing, but the nurse did say 2 weeks and rang surgery yesterday and they're not back yet. I'm sure it's nothing sinister but it is playing on my mind a bit
Right, better go and do some blending and check on my work e-mails.

Starshinetiger · 16/03/2010 16:25

He he - 'tis like the old days of the wagon with it being so active on here!

Just a quickie as am at work, but am sooooo bored with what I'm doing currently and have so much to do at home, I feel I need an MN break to get me through the afternoon

Will be back this evening to chat I hope and am sure you will all be gone by then... perhaps I should try some of this blending lark!
