Here we go ladies - I'll C&P the stats in a tick. Don't forget to add the gender on if you find out at your scan

MrsDmamee · 28/01/2010 15:26

argh silly pg brain *3DGS(#3 born this week)

or maybe its DC3 sending me a big hint.

Barbeasty · 28/01/2010 15:55

I had my scan this afternoon and it's a girl. All looked healthy, and she was waving at us throughout.

My placenta has moved up now, which is good news. I had bleeding and an emergency scan back at 13 weeks and was told then it was low, so glad that's sorted itself.

DH says we're conspiring against him already, as he was convinced it would be a boy. She will be having a blue bedroom though!

You've all got me tempted to bake a cake now, since I'm not going back into work today. But I've had far too much chocolate this week- one of my staff went to Cadbury's world and brought back a huge tin of mini dairy milk, caramel and cream eggs. And that's after we got through several tins of biscuits (we all seem to have so much left from Christmas).

Good luck to you all with the baking- or the buying!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 16:12

filly - you've muddled up us sleepy sorts - it's me who will have 3 under 4.5, not whenwillisleepagain, who is only expecting number 2!

OP posts:
wheredidmyfeetgo · 28/01/2010 16:23

Filly I think I win hands down on the "crazy lady award" I had a MC in Nov 08 That would have made it 3 under 2.5!!!!!
We always wanted small age gaps, but I seem to fall pregnant before I've even had chance to consider contraception once I've finished Breastfeeding!

I do love how close my boys are and wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll be over on sat night but only if I can lick the spoon after?

LittleRobbo · 28/01/2010 16:24

Filly what time do you want us over on Saturday

Congratulations Barbeasty great news for you. Hmmm it seems we have more girls expected than boys,so far anyway!

wheredidmyfeetgo · 28/01/2010 16:32

Sorry all I's taken me over an hour to finishing tpying my last post as I've had someone sat with me so doing it on the sly!

Congratulations Barbeasty on your scan.

MrsDmamme I wish my Df would leave it to me to decided, he is desperate to know. This time though I would rather like a surprise (although I'm sure it will be another boy) Either way I don't mind what we have just as long as the bub arrives safely and healthy!

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 17:14

wheredidmyfeetgo - I have a friend who had her 3rd when her first was only 26 months!

monkeymargot will have 3 very young ones as well, because of having twins. Hers will all be under 2, so in fact I think that that makes her the winner!

Congrats on scans. Someone needs to get organized and update the list with all the scan results.

You are all mean with all this cake talk when I'm not supposed to have any!

OP posts:
playftseforme · 28/01/2010 17:23

Yup, does sound like monkeymargot is odds on to win this particular award. My effort will be 3 under 4, but really that appears to not even be trying

Sorry to be so me, me, me but can I sound off for 30 secs? DH just told me that he's about to sign a 5 month contract to end of May for his job abroad and that his work is no longer prepared to pay for for interim flights, so other than the outward and return flights, he would have to fund the others. Given I was barely coping with the 3 or so weeks away and a handful of days back each time since autumn last year, I feel sick at the moment. What if the babies come early? He's agreed to talk about it tonight (big of him), but my previous efforts haven't changed anything, I just don't seem to be able to get across my case to him. Rant over....

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 17:46

Remind me where he's working playftse? Does the contract pay enough for him to be self-funding for trips home?
Dh had always worked abroad until 2 years ago (and is due to start being away again in March we think), but his company have always funded travel home at weekends (with an odd exception when he's done say a couple of weeks in India or 3 weeks in Oz).

OP posts:
gizmo · 28/01/2010 17:47

'Cake freezes dontcha know' = moment of blinding revelation for Gizmo. I think it's safe to say you may have just revolutionised my life, Filly .

PlayFTSE Oh no. Oh nononono. I would be speechless too. At the very least by that stage I would think you'd be wanting some extra practical help, even if things are going normally. And won't you need some emotional support? Is he generally good for that when he's around? I'm being a bit dim here and can't see your name on the list: when are you due?

But maybe I'm being unfair - I don't know what the alternatives are for him here. Is he able to find UK based work? Or is this the way it's always been?

LaTrucha · 28/01/2010 18:05

Cake does not freeze round here! Only ice cream

GinaFB · 28/01/2010 18:14

Hello everyone, congrats on all of the scans over the last few days!

Everything went ok at the hospital. Apparently there has been a bleed from the placenta but they think its a few weeks old and has healed itsself but they will see more at the 20 week scan next week. They also took a swab which I have literally just had the results from this evening and all is ok! It looks like it is just one of those things but I have been in a bit of a state the since tuesday. Both OH and I are much more relaxed tonight!

Am still trying to get through all the posts so will write some more later on!

xxx

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 18:17

Yay Gina!

OP posts:
LaTrucha · 28/01/2010 18:43

Great news Gina. When is 20 week scan?

MrsDmamee · 28/01/2010 18:52

evening all.

glad to hear all is ok gina.

Ive been bleeding on and off since week 12 last bleed was week 17 so fingers crossed its stopped now at 18+2 days. placenta was low at my 16 week scan, but it can be such a worrying time. DHis still stressed and has had enough of hospitals for now and doesnt want either of us to have to go in again before delivery day.

wheredidmyfeetgo im looking forward to the surprise too, im thinking its a girl but also saying im sure its a boy though. i predicted the gender of my 1st two boys even before scan on ds2, ds1 i just knew(didnt ask at scan) and even went asfar as to not accept any girl baby clothes from a friend who gave me lots of baby clothes.
but im afraid to trust myself this time

NizzyNoodles · 28/01/2010 19:53

Wow - there's no way I can keep up with everyone with my totally disorganised pregnancy brain today. Hello to any newbies, congrats on any nice news and hugs to anyone who's not feeling on top form for whatever reason.

DIMB Another one here who will have 3 under 4 come June. There is 2 yrs between DD1 and DD2 and there will be 21 months between DD2 and the baby. Everyone keeps telling me I'm mad but it's a bit late now!

All the talk about chocolate has meant that my poor DH has had to go out and get me a bar of dairy milk as I absolutely HAD to have it.

20 week scan tomorrow so fingers crossed all is well. I'll report back tomorrow with any news.

meggymegmegs · 28/01/2010 19:55

PlayFTSE 5 months?! I'd really struggle if dh even went away for a few days (probably a sign of my over reliance on him, but still). I think you've done so well to even get this far if he's been away for weeks at a time since autumn. Surely he'll regret it for the rest of his life if he missed the birth of the twins because he couldn't get back in time? He's obviously got a decent job and must have some clout there so isn't there a way he could even sign up for say, 3 months? I hope you can make him see your point of view, you have my complete sympathy.

Thanks for the support on the cringeworthy 'bladder weakness' front. Sounds like I'm not alone at least, I'll keep the Tenna ladies on ice!

MrsDmamee My complete and utter sympathy that you're still suffering with MS. I shudder at the memory of those first few months and can't imagine still feeling like that now. I've only just lost the grooves in my inside-wrists from those stupid sickness bands that I became obsessive about wearing!

dinosaur I've been known to scoff cook a few cakes in my time so may be able to point you in the direction of some good recipes. What kind of thing are you thinking? Chocolate? Sponge? Any special shapes or anything?

Great news Gina and the other scan ladies. Has nearly everyone had their scans now, I'm losing track, this thread moves so quickly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 19:59

I don't think we're even half way through the scans yet meggy!

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2010 19:59

Nizzy - was it you who lives nearish to me and is using the L&D?

OP posts:
NizzyNoodles · 28/01/2010 20:09

CSWS - that's me - 20 minutes of prodding and poking coming my way tomorrow

MrsDmamee · 28/01/2010 20:20

meggymegmegs my MS isnt as bad as it was in the 1st 12 weeks.
but it still appears out of the blue(like when i want to have a chinese takeaway) and the nausea hits me everytime some cooks meat and im still off lots of food, use to live on pasta now cant even bare to open a packet of it havent had any since october and dont come near me with chocolate it just tastes weird and i havent had a biccy in 18 weeks

i didnt have a hint of MS and 1 or 2 days of nausea with my other 2 pgs so this one is a complete shock to me as to why ive be struck down!!!

dinosaurinmybelly · 28/01/2010 20:28

Hello MeggyMegMegs - I've just baked a square chocolate cake following Nigella Lawson's recipe which uses creme fraiche, and it looks good. I do have to bake another one (we'll have over 40 people here tomorrow) and he has requested a green one this time - was thinking of baking a lemon sponge.
Then I just have to figure out the icing - I'm really crap at that.

Good luck with scan tomorrow NizzyNoodles

madamefreckle · 28/01/2010 21:18

Re: comments on training people to think before they ask, ( gizmo / wheredidmyfeetgo ), that's exactly what I'm currently trying to do with my just-3-year old. One shouldn't have to waste one's precious time doing it with grown men / grown nannies! Totally loony-making!

madamefreckle · 28/01/2010 21:59

Grrrr....Just deleted a long post by accident.

Basically, was saying Filly aka Bakerwonderwoman and all those others with serious kitchen-charisma - Someone bring me cake PLEASE! My last attempt took three attempts, then was re-hashed, re-shaped, smothered haphazardly in silver and blue icing to form the vague shape of a saw!(Ds is obsessed with tools).

Fingers crossed nizzy MrsD - Can't imagine how horrible it must be for you - you're really going to appreciate feeling normal at the end of this pregnancy! Were your first two boys or girls? Wondering if this has anything to do with how pants you feel.

Wheredidmyfeetgo - are you in/near Swindon? (Steam reference)

I've updated Chestnuts scan result ( ) below. Anyone else?

Barbeasty - Am I blind or are you absent from this list? I was going to put GIRL on for you (great news btw!) but where are you?!
