Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 10:19

I used too. looong time ago

starrynight · 03/07/2005 11:39

I'm here, but expect you two are off painting or whatever now...

Know the feeling nemo, my DH has worked every day for the last 3 weeks - and is getting home 9/10/11pm. Its doing my head in and i'm losing patience with poor kids far more quickly than normal. They are watching a video at the momen. tsk.

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 12:39

LOL starry, my dd2 adores 'moooovies' as she calls them, and i am very thankful for them!! even same one fifty times over and over

george32 · 03/07/2005 12:40

I'm here briefly too.
Told the kids on Friday - woo hoo!! What a relief to finally tell them, I so hate to keep secrets from them. Pretty good reaction. Little one is actually pleased and the older one is not really that fussed - trying to make out he knew anyway (teenagers - grr!!).
Tidying out the kitchen at the moment. I think it is the nesting thing starting.

All getting very artistic on this thread. The best I can do is paint a wall (or fence last week!) Think the artistic genes skipped over me big time.

Hope you are all having a lovely sunday.
x

starrynight · 03/07/2005 12:51

Well I love doing arty things but am totally rubbish! lol. Am going to be sitting in a field next Saturday painting.. Should be fun even if mine always looks errrm 'abstract'?!

bonkerz · 03/07/2005 14:28

hi all, i am here, have been on and off but not really much to report due to bed rest!
Bleeding has stopped completely now and havent had any since yesterday. did get some cramps last night but that may be due to lack of bowel motion more than anything. (sorry)
Had my hair all chopped off yesterday! Had long hair almost to my waist and it is now just above my shoulders with very short layers! I think i like it!! Got a fringe too which is taking a bit of getting used too! Dh loves it and ds says im a beautiful mummy (that was after laughing nervously for 10 minutes!)

My stomach has definately shrunk in size! just had a lovely roast but was beat after a few mouthfulls! Not fair, i used to be a huge eater! Now i know why ive lost almost 16lbs!!

Nemo1977 · 03/07/2005 15:24

hi again
not a lot going on here..just been playing games with ds and cut the grass while it was dry....not done a lot else apart from some washing although should really try n tidy some of ds toys as he has pulled all books of the shelf looking for a thomas one which was under the pile lol

hope uou are all having a peaceful day

george hate it when u dont check in for couple of days hun even though i know it cant be helped..lol

Bonkerz jealous of your weight loss..

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 15:52

hey ladies. not got alot of painting done, but got some shopping done ! took dh and made him pay always the best way. brought new bras -finally- dh nearly fell over at the price, the silly man thought they would be -and I quote!- 'about £9.99 for two' !!oh ho ho ho, they so WERENT! would hate to have to tell him how soon i may grow out of these too...
bonkerz your hair sounds fabulous! desperately need highlights and haircut, but am stalling it for a week or so so it looks nice still for holiday. glad youre better too.
starry - art is definately all about the taking part, tho i bet your pictures are gorgeous really.
george how fab the boys know now, and reacted well we miss you when youre not about.

starrynight · 03/07/2005 18:22

Yes, I have about 2 inches of grey but not sure whether to colour it when pg. The stuff stinks so it can't do any good - but does it do any harm? I don't know...hmmm maybe wait a bit longer.

starrynight · 03/07/2005 18:26

Can I just say - that mothercare sale is absolutely crud.

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 18:46

oh god yes, awful sale, there are NO maternity shorts to be found, even out of the sale and when i asked the assistant said 'oh well its not summer season anymore' -really ? there was me thinking it was july!

george32 · 03/07/2005 20:20

Sorry Nemo, I promise to try harder to make sure I pop in here at least once a day!

Munching my way through a tub of lemon sorbet at the moment, anyone else eating lots of lemon & strawberry flavoured things? I don't mean to but when I get home from the supermarket there they are!!

DQ, I got some shorts in Topshop (Oxford St). Just checked but they don't seem to sell them online.
Where are you off to on holiday?
Starry, I'm still dying my hair. I know I've read somewhere that it is OK to do

Nemo1977 · 03/07/2005 20:31

hi all
no need to stop dying hair which i found out after a disaster with henna dye...never do it people the stuff washes out constantly and staind pillowcases...lol

havewnt been into mothercare to look at sale but its usually rubbish

george32 · 03/07/2005 20:38

Starry, just remembered what I read about dying hair. They say to be cautious because you may get a different result from usual as your hair becomes more porous.
LOL at henna Nemo - scary stuff. I did it once, never again!!

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 21:00

starry, if its any 'help' i get my hair highlighted with four different shades of blonde (!think theres a blonde joke there but we'll move on.....) and it totally covers my hair bu they paint it on so it doesnt really go on your scalp -which is what some people worry about, it 'seeping in your skin' when pg. but for what its worth I have never met a medical person who had any concerns about pg ladies dying their hair. my hairdresser did warn me it might, as george said, take the colour alittle stronger (mine does) but frankly -I am fat, fed up and cant not wear gorgeous clothes so I'm certainly going to at least have fabulous hair!!

dramaqueen72 · 03/07/2005 21:02

my lovely mother -who is a dressmaker/costume maker, and always very busy (ie. far too busy to make me anything!)- has just rung to say she is currently making me maternity shorts and cropped trousers as she is sick of me going on and on about not being able to buy them woohoo! being a 'dramaqueen' does pay off sometimes then!

dramaqueen72 · 04/07/2005 08:11

please wish me luck ladies, have a dr's appointment at the hospital today, long story -midwife suddenly deciding I'm poss 'high risk' (am NOT!) I've been telling myself its nothing, but of course as the appointment gets closer, the more nervous i get.

MINNIE1 · 04/07/2005 08:49

dramaqueen72,

Best wishes to you hun, Sending you positive vibes..

Nemo,

Starting to feel really pregnany now, Belly is showing more and i finally got an outfit for a wedding in 2weeks. Going to treat my self with tan, makeup and all that goes with pampering.. I have felt like S&it for 3 months its time i did.
I even managed to get all the house work done the house smells lovely and its all clean. Was up at 6AM this morning starving.. Cooked a big fry up for me and DP!!!! really not like me!!

Hope all is well with you ladies

Nemo1977 · 04/07/2005 09:29

mornign all

DQ thinking of u

minnie glad doppler came its fab isnt it also glad you are feeling normal ish.

hope u all have good day

starrynight · 04/07/2005 09:40

DQ why has the midwife decided you are high risk?

I am going to book to get my hair coloured then. Nothing interesting here though - just my normal shade of brown to hide the grey

I have def. been feeling the baby move in the last week - I find it much easier to recognise this time.

I don't look good in shorts at the best of time so am going for wafty skirts and 3/4 length linens at the moment. (got a good pair in Asda for £12 - beigy colour linen 3/4 trousers).

Need to get some new bras (sigh - story of my life) as my 36F bras are too smal (ffs). When will it ever end???

P.s. anyone watching BB? OMG!!

george32 · 04/07/2005 09:52

Hope you get on OK DQ.
Glad your doppler has arrived Minnie, they really do put your mind at rest. So pleased I got mine.

Terrible night of no sleep for me so feeling dog rough today. Dragged myself into work but going to sit here quietly dozing I think.

Starry, I watched BB & was pretty shocked. They really have dragged them from the gutter this year haven't they! Can't believe one of them will walk away with the prize money - can we not vote for non of them to win???

ninah · 04/07/2005 09:53

what's happening on BB then?

OP posts:
MINNIE1 · 04/07/2005 09:54

what happen in BB????

george32 · 04/07/2005 09:56

The dreadful set of wannabees are all happily sharing bodily fluids with anyone that will go near them - urgh, urgh, urgh!!!

(God, I sound like a prude!! I'm normally quite chilled so they must be pretty grim!! )

starrynight · 04/07/2005 09:59

Anthony had sex with Makosi, sucked Orlaigh's tits, basically the 3 of them were doing every variety of stuff. I was pretty shocked. Though DH thought it was great! tsk.
