Well found out this morning that I am pg!! 3 weeks and 4 days so pretty early days yet though!

Been trying for a fair while but first month using OPKs so would highly recommend them.

Will introduce myself anyway - dh and I both 26 with a 17 month old ds. Am so excited to be pg again even though it was a bit of a rough ride last time around!

hiya girls

hope everyone's OK, thsanks for the info friz - I won't have eggs will just have a huge plate of them once I have this baby! (and a nice taboo and lemonade!)

i've asked my friend for a lend of her doppler so will try to use it from next week, althou she says she stuggled to find her DD's so i'll try not to stress too much! lol.

DHW - my scan's not till another month so don't worry hon, (around here u don't get early ones unless you're 'high risk' wich apparently i'm not after only 2 m/c's) i'm still scared stiff i'll go for mine and they'll say nope nada nothing there you imagioned it all.

BB - glad your children were good for u, and u didn't do any lifting.

anchovies how r u these days?

cadmum - good luck with ur doppler, how r u as well?

sorry to the other girls i've forgotten, I know there's loads of us now can't keep up with all the names!

can't wait till 12.30 tomorrow as then it's jolly 'oliday time!

desperatehousewife · 28/07/2005 08:57

I'm being very louche this time round in terms of food - I'm still eating runny cheeses and peanuts and bresoala and stuff.

It's only us and the Americans who are so paranoid about it - you never see an Italian or French woman giving up cheese when she's pregnant!

How's everyone coping with the tiredness? I feel sledgehammer tired at times during the day. Particularly first thing in the morning - it's taking all my energy to just type!!!!!

God, it's hard work at the moment - can't wait to feel 'blooming' and re-energised.

Would love to borrow a doppler later on - I think how fantastic to take away that major fear of wanting to know if your babies heart is still beating.

Does anyone on this thread have twins in their family? Could there be any surprises for anyone over the next month or so?!! None in mine thank god!

RavishingBrunette · 28/07/2005 09:12

don't want to worry you, but a friend's friend had a VERY bad experience with unpasteurised goats cheese....on the basis of that I do steer clear of unknown bacterias. Of course, down to you, but thought I would mention it.

munz · 28/07/2005 09:12

we have twins, 5 sets of them to be exact, both my nans had them (dads one of an identical set), three sets of identical cousins G/G and B/B non identical uncles. so either me or DB are gonna have them and everyone's saying it's gonna be me!

runny cheese?- do u mean soft cheese? I know what u mean about the fussiness of it all, althou I do want to do the best if that makes sence?

RavishingBrunette · 28/07/2005 09:16

when I say bad exeperience, I mean she got terrible stomach cramps, went to hospital & lost her baby. She had to give birth to him still born. She was 5 months pregnant. Of course, could have been anything, but you never know.

Is runny/soft cheese & 'forbidden' food really worth it ?

Cadmum · 28/07/2005 17:42

It is quiet on here this afternoon. Do I hear an echo?

Hope you are all well.

My last pg was with twins. I would be delighted to find out next Tuesday that this one is as well. (That would explain why I feel SO MISERABLE and tired all of the time, wouldn't it?!)

Feeling too icky to add any more...

Take care of yourselves.

Jackstini · 28/07/2005 18:29

DHW - I have not even got a date for my scan yet - told by doc it would be 11-12 weeks but seeing MW on Monday so will hopefully book one then. It is by Bday today and DH cooking me a lovely meal as usual - said it was difficult though with no prawns, mussels, brie, camembert & wine - all my favourite things! Now you all mention it I am dying for a dippy egg & soldiers...mmmmmmmmm

desperatehousewife · 28/07/2005 18:31

ah, Happy birthday Jacks! How lovely to have supper cooked for you. Enjoy yourself (forget about all the tings you shouldn't be eating - you can make up for it in a years time!)

desperatehousewife · 28/07/2005 18:31

OK girls - let's have a recap. How many weeks are we all?

I'm nearly 8.

Jackstini · 28/07/2005 18:37

I will be 8 wks tomorrow

Cadmum · 28/07/2005 18:48

8 weeks tomorrow.

RosiePosie · 28/07/2005 18:50

Happy Birthday Jackstini

I am 9 weeks 2 days. Seeing the MW for the first time on Sunday - yes I know, a funny day for a booking in appointment ( it's a home visit ). Should get a scan date then too.

Feeling like poo.

desperatehousewife · 28/07/2005 18:51

how nice - a home visit!

anchovies · 28/07/2005 18:59

Hi everyone

Back again for a very quick visit as am still feeling sorry for myself! Am 8+4 today and still being very sick. Booked in with the midwife at home last sunday (it's very civilised isn't it rosieposie!) and have got early scan tomorrow morning at 9am. Am very nervous as have a bicornuate uterus and basically this pregnanacy has to be in the right place or it won't be able to continue. So serious fingers crossed.

DHW - I am exactly the same with food this time, basically eating anything I can face (a bag of dry roasted this afternoon!)

Happy birthday Jackstini! Enjoy your meal!

Hi to everyone else as well, rosieposie are you up for updating the stats or do you want me to have another bash at it?

toothyboy · 28/07/2005 19:25

Happy birthday Jacks - have a lovely day.

Frizbe · 28/07/2005 20:59

poppyh · 29/07/2005 08:10

Happy birthday jackstini.
Not sure how many wks pg I am exactly.Seeing the gp today.Hoping to have a dating scan soon.I think Im 8 wks though!Hope all is good with everyone today!I just dreamt Alfie Moon from Eastenders was the father! How scary!

munz · 29/07/2005 08:18

happy b'day for yesterday jack.

i'm 8 weeks exactly today - and the time's dragging! althou we've picked our travel system out - from mothercare, about the only thing we're agreeing on.

have a horrible cold today and sore throat - anyone know what I can take? - normally I take that 4 flu tablets and it's gone in a couple of days.

good luck with ur scan anchovies.

desperatehousewife · 29/07/2005 08:22

poor you - you can only take paracetamol i think. i guess lemsip might be ok, but to be honest I'd make my own honey and lemon and hot water and take a couple of paras.

Poppy - I used to really fancy shane ritchie (it's my embarressing fancy!) years ago before he became popular as Alfie!

Because of my bleeding/d'charge or whatever it was (by the way, none since monday) my doc has told me to take it easy and not to have unprotected sex til 3 month scan. No problem with the sex - never have to do that again eh?! . But means having to cancel my tennis lessons which I LOVE. Humph. Oh well, only for another 5 weeks....then it's scan time. I am absolutely terrified of that first scan.

Good luck to anyone having scans soon....

munz · 29/07/2005 08:29

shane ritchie - can't see it myself, althou I do like the name alfie - DH hates it thou with a passion.

why are you concerned for the scan? Know the feeling about the sex! althou DH won't even hug me let alone anything else at the minute.

it probably is best not to do the tennis as that's quite strenuous isn't it with all the running about - that assumin u have the weather to do it our's is horrid here.

good news about the bleeding/discharge stopping, I was thinking thou was it around the time your second AF would have been due?

RosiePosie · 29/07/2005 08:31

I promise I'll update stats this weekend. Mother is coming today, so I'm going to have another stab at telling her the news. . gulp.

munz · 29/07/2005 08:32

lol@rp - why is it we feel like naughty little school girls when it comes to telling our mums?

desperatehousewife · 29/07/2005 08:33

oooh munz, hadn't even thought of that (timing of second AF) - Second AF would have been due around today/tomorrow. And my 'bleed' was Friday - Monday. Maybe your'e right....

I'm only terrified about the scan because I'm a natural pessimist when it comes to myself!

God, my house looks like a bomb has hit it -need to do big tidy up before rellies all descend to stay this weekend.

What you up to?

munz · 29/07/2005 08:39

peed off at DH (see my DH didn't come home thread - git)

working till 12 today then off home to start my holidays.

I know how u feel about the scan as I said i'm expecting them to say nope nothing there.

it's quite possible then it was your body's way of thinking as AF's due (but ur pg it had to get rid of something as it were so that's whaht caused the spotting?) some women do have that dont' they, heopfully that's all it was.
