Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 10/11/2009 08:15

nigella i missed that! So sorry, congratulations! 11 days early, I wish!

Koumak · 10/11/2009 08:16

and meant to say thanks becky for the lovely poem!

waves to broodzilla life is never going to be the same again!

sleeplessinthecity · 10/11/2009 08:53

Congratulations Wook what a gorgeous name and well done you, she's a healthy weight indeed!

Brood lovely to hear from you and great tips thank you...very well put by the way...

Tok don't feel too bad it will happen soon and you'll love your baby just the same when he or she arrives. You are just fed up of waiting and i can understand that..just hang in there and time will pass soon...I too am fed up as I thought baby would be early..silly me!

Talking about dreams, I had a steamy one about Johnny Lee Miller..how odd!?

southernbelle77 · 10/11/2009 08:53

Congratulations Wook and nigella on your safe arrivals! It's so exciting seeing all these little bubs being born! I'm hoping it will be me tomorrow - fingers crossed everyone

Comma Sorry that your feeling low about the section and mil. You are not bringing the thread down at all, and it's good that you have somewhere to say how you feel. We are all here to listen. And tomorrow you will have your little baby in your arms. ((((hugs))))

I'm going to have a very productive day making the house all clean and tidy today. I want everything in order so that when I go into hospital tomorrow I don't have to worry about coming back to a messy house (well, here is hoping that dh doesn't make too much mess!! DD should be with mil and dh should be with me at the hospital so all will be ok, right !!) So, I'm off now to change all the beds and get it all washed before starting on the kitchen! Be back soon

EasyEggs · 10/11/2009 08:57

Congratulations Wook I agree, a very beautifu name too. So glad all is well, hope your first night went ok.And we do need pics!!

And congrats also Nigella

comma so sorry that things seem to have gone the way you don't want them to again There is still time for baby to get into position, I so hope that he/she does and you get a nice surprise when you get to hospital. If not then I hope everything goes as well as it can for you. I can only imagine how you must be feeling at the thought of a section. I would be the same x x x

TOK I'm sorry you're feeling so disheartened atm. Perfectly understandable though given all the build up to due dates then a big fat nothing apart from yet more waiting. I really hope things start for you soon. It must be so frustrating x x

OOOOH Erika sounds very promising!!! Any news this morning? Where are yoooooooooou?!

Lovely to hear everything is going so well Brood Love the labour list lol!!

Glad to hear Olivia is a good sleeper Koumak I have no idea how anyone manages to get on here at all after having baby. I can imagine me being able to get on for a once monthly update!!

Will be great once we're all over to a postnatal thread though. If these babies ever decide to arrive

Laugs · 10/11/2009 09:19

Huge congrats to Nigella and Wook. Glad to hear the birth went well Wook*.

Fab to hear from Broodzilla too. I've been thinking about you and I'm really pleased to hear it's all going well.

Comma sorry to hear about yet another change of plans. It really must be upsetting that you keep on not knowing where you stand, but at least you know now that you will have your lovely baby with you tomorrow. Southernbelle is your CS tomorrow too?

No onset of labour here, so I still have to work today. None of my smart clothes fit me now, so they'll just have to take me as I come. Now I'm just hoping I'll get out in time to have a coffee and cake in town before I have to collect DD.

katster37 · 10/11/2009 09:51

Laugs I hope the interview goes well. Nothing fits me anymore either. In fact, I feel like I have put on more weight in the last week and a half than the entire pregnancy and it is annoying me!

YAAAAY for more arrivals! Wook fantastic news, and what a lovely name. Also it's really nice to hear of births that aren't too horrific - I am clinging to your words!

Broodzilla it's lovely to hear from you, and great that you sound so organised and Lukas sounds gorgeous. Put up some more pics!!! Will remind DH about remembering the bag - it is actually by the door, so if he forgets it, he will be in bother! Had had a similar thought about tying hair back. Eeeek.

Where is Erika?????????????

Well, I got a bit excited last night, all for nothing. Had 3 painful, cling-to-something contractions, about 30 mins apart, interspersed with random stabbing pains and backache... Was starting to get my hopes up, and then NOTHING. Went to bed, feel normal today except for sodding Braxton Hicks which are constant whenever I am not sat down. Grrrrr.

Oh, and BBL fantastic idea about the knitted boobs - think we should all have one, visibly on show at all times just in case we cross eachother's paths!!

skorpion · 10/11/2009 09:53

laugs Hope it goes well today.
I'm still working - at home mind so no smart clothes around here - and really getting fed up now. I'm hoping to finish by the end of this week and then have two weeks to sort the house out. My mum is coming over at the weekend to help and I think she'll do most of the cleaning. Still doesn't feel right, mum hasn't cleaned for me since I was a kid, but hey, my lower back kills me after I change the sheets, so I'm grateful for the help.

tok don't feel bad. You will fall in love with the baby very soon and each day brings you closer to that moment.

comma you are not a downer on here, this is exactly what we are here for. I'm so sorry that things have changed again, just try to focus on holding your baby soon.

beepbeep I'll be sure to post on here as soon as we decide to set off to Chippy so watch this space. Not for a while, though.

Is this anything to do with pregnancy: at night I can't sleep because I feel really itchy all over. The restless legs are annoyingly back and combined with that it really is a struggle to get to sleep.

Hope you all have a very good day despite the weather. Hang in there ladies, we'll soon all be talking about our lovely babies.

Laugs · 10/11/2009 09:58

Maybe the knitted boob, pinned to your lapel, will be this season's corsage?

That's disappointing Katster. I was similar although I didn't actually have any contractions but I was feeling very achy and getting loads of BH yesterday evening. Went to bed thinking something might happen, but then woke to find nothing had. I think it might be like this from now on to be honest!

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/11/2009 10:02

Can I get away with a joint poem? I missed Nigella's news...

Yeah Nigella's and Wook's babies are here
A boy and a girl - this news brings a tear
To the eyes, of us who are still to wait
And hoping our babies will not come late
Who will be next - definitely not me
I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

A bit lame! I've got a stinky cold, that's my excuse.

No news here - still waddling.

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/11/2009 10:03

Just off to find my knitting needles ... only got bright coloured wool though so my boobie might be a bit psychadellic!

tigger32 · 10/11/2009 10:07

Congratulations to wook and Nigella, I'm very impressed that you are posting the same day as giving birth wook erika could this be it????

comma sorry your lo has moved again, how exciting that you will have him/her in your arms tomorrow though! (I can completely see where you are coming from with feeling upset though, I'm sure that is perfectly normal)

Well my inlaws are being a bit strange at the minute (actually they always are) but today is mil birthday so because of the strikes last week Dh and I had said we would post her birthday present 1st class on Saturday (meaning it should arrive yesterday/today) anyway on friday night we got an email from fil saying " we are going away on Monday morning and won't be back until friday" the email then went on to say, "please only phone on our mobile if it is a dire emergency" WTF does that mean? I'm due on Saturday and have been early with both my others do they not want to know when their grandchild is born? (they actually told Dh off when he called to say ds1 had been born because it was after 10pm)
Anyway we phoned them said hope they have a lovely holiday and Happy birthday to mil etc.
Sunday afternoon another email arrives saying mil has had a fall, she was rushed via ambulance to A&E they have spent the morning in hospital and she has her head stitched in several places. Why on earth couldn't they call us instead of email, mil was in tears when dh phoned because she was in so much pain and fil is insisting they must still go away! I really hope Dh won't turn out like his dad!
Very sorry for rant, will go and start cleaning the house now....

Trikken · 10/11/2009 10:08

hi all, congratulations wook!

slept better last night, apart from hvaing to get up to change ds's bed as he was sick over it. really hoping I dont get his cold, well i dont mind having cold normally but was just thinking id be lucky and wouldnt have one whilst having the baby.
just put on fb to read what I percieve as quite a rude msg from my dad's wife. from what i get of it, she is saying i should think myself lucky that tho i havent had the baby yet, i should be happy to just be pregnant cos she took years to concieve.

shows how much she knows, this one took us nearly a year!

Laugs · 10/11/2009 10:09

skorpion Just managed to change the interview so I can do it over the phone from home. What a relief! I'm hoping to finish work by the middle of next week, when I'll be 39 weeks. I really hope I get some rest before the baby arrives though. I feel like I deserve a few mornings while DD is at nursery to just potter and do nothing at all. My flat is a tip too. I don't have the time or the energy to sort it. DH normally does stuff at the weekend, but he's been away so it's even worse than normal.

ErikaMaye · 10/11/2009 10:11

Ladies, ladies, we have some devlopment!! My waters have gone!!! Mums running around like a headless chicken, DP is sat at work rocking backwards and forwards by all accounts, and I'm quite calmly typing on Mumsnet in between contractions. Eeek!!!!

tigger32 · 10/11/2009 10:12

Ohhh loving the knited boob got time to make me one BBL

EasyEggs · 10/11/2009 10:13

tigger32 · 10/11/2009 10:13

Yeah erika how exciting, are you feeling ok? Have you phoned the mw?

I'm so excited, I feel like I'm your mum

Oh I'm crying now

Trikken · 10/11/2009 10:14

sorry, missed nigella, congratulations! hoping things are going well for both you and wook

Laugs · 10/11/2009 10:16

Erika How exciting! Have you been having contractions for long? You might need to get DP out of work! Remember to keep active while you can. Are you going to use that hypnotherapy cd? I've been very intrigued what the Birth Music one is like!

Trikken · 10/11/2009 10:16

ooh x-posted! congrats Erika! hope things go smoothly for you. will be thinking of you and little bryn today! I said bryn might beat annabelle. x

katster37 · 10/11/2009 10:19

Eeeeeeek, Erika yaaay!! I am so excited for you!! Keep us posted, in between contractions! How often are they? Yaaaay, Bryn is on his way!

ErikaMaye · 10/11/2009 10:20

I'm feeling fine. My poor midwife has the flu, bless her, but got all excited for me! She said to call the hospital but no rush. I'm so excited!! My little man will be here in the next few days for sure

I had to get up to change my pj bottoms a few times in the night - and my half asleep brain just didn't click In fact, I was getting ready to come on here about bitch about my brother and father having weed on the floor and not cleared it up

skorpion · 10/11/2009 10:27

erika brilliant news! Impressed with how calm you appear. Keep it up and best of luck.
