Wizzy so sorry to hear about your sister - big hugs to you and your family xxxx

Oh goodie another baby, this time from Kyte! Erika may be next, who knows, perhaps tonight!
We hope that baby Alexander is a happy boy
And bringing his parents lots of joy
Now we're all facebook buddies too
Who's next? It'll be easier to find out who!

Right, off to do the ironing now

VenusInfers · 10/11/2009 18:13

Glad to hear it, hobnob, I'll try not to take your DD's rejection personally (goes to cry in a corner emoticon).

raggie · 10/11/2009 18:19

wizzy so sorry to hear your sister's bad news. Glad you felt you could let it out to us. It's awful not being able to see and hug her but agree you should give her a phone to let her know you're thinking of her.

Well done kyte! Love the name Alexander, it's definitely on my list for if I have a boy ever.

Here's the facebook group comma and anyone else who has misplaced the original link.

By the way I LOVE the knitted boob as the profile pic for the group

Comma2 · 10/11/2009 18:22

Hu, cross post with about 3-6 people! Slow computer.

Lissy My word, sweetheart, that doesn't sound good about you dh's account draining! Didn't he just give you a hard time about spending too much money on food?? Better check on where that money goes. (Not that money cannot drain quickly for perfectly good reasons...)

Pav right, you got me jealous about that Primarni-Primark thing, and I know a discount store when I see it. Trailed Century 21 for two hours yesterday to find 1 button shirt for bf just to notice it was way damaged when I put it on the counter. Pffff.

Venus What a lovely name for you! Always reminds of Some like it hot.

Southern we can hold virtual hands then! All the best and good luck!

scarloooootti !!

sleepless I'm so sorry for your sister! I had a chemical preg before this one and it was terrible, can't imagine what she is going through.

hobnob your dd wouldn't be 2, 3 yo, would she?

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 10/11/2009 18:23

who is the rogue fb member? I can't figure it out!

Laugs · 10/11/2009 18:28

Kyte congrats on the birth of Alexander! That is my favourite boy's name, but I can't use it as it's a bit like DH's name. Glad all is going well

Wizzy I'm so sorry for you and your sister. How hard to be so far away when you want to just give her a big hug. But a phone call is the next best thing and I'm sure she knows how much you are there for her. What a tough time you've had over the last few months ((hugs))

southern I've only gone back on facebook for this group too. I didn't want to be left out [loser emoticon] but actually I find facebook really hard to keep up with and it stresses me out. Other people make friends through facebook, but I only lose them
Good luck for tomorrow by the way! Once you have your induction do you stay in, or do you go home and wait for something to happen?

Good luck to you too Comma! It is tomorrow isn't it? (God knows how I am still working - my brain feels like it has melted)

hobnob (I think) I am still eating and eating...

ninja I knew the thing was a Gordon Brown reference, but now I can't help but see it as a knitted boob . I like it better that way.

raggie · 10/11/2009 18:32

Yay I'm in the FB gang!

Comma2 · 10/11/2009 18:38

longway we have a mutual friend on fb!

God, do not know if I can join, do not want super-personal info to accidentally get round to work-colleagues....chicken?? I am a bit internet-shy.

TooTicky · 10/11/2009 18:38
Comma2 · 10/11/2009 18:42

laugs jup, tomorrow. (I have to get up at 3 am. 3 am.)

I hope Kyte will post in detail how lovely everything was before I have to go in...

Thanks for the link raggie !

Laugs · 10/11/2009 18:42

Hmm, I can sympathise on the money-draining thing. We just got the Sure Start £500 a few weeks ago and it has all gone already - that is on top of all normal income. We haven't even bought anything, just probably been living a little less frugally without even thinking of it. It's so depressing.

misssese · 10/11/2009 18:52

pav its Helen Sienkiewicz - Helenls

Trikken · 10/11/2009 18:59

is that actually someone on here tho, or someone who wandered into our fb group by mistake?

raggie · 10/11/2009 19:04

I was wondering if any of us would have mutual friends...off to investigate now!

TOK · 10/11/2009 19:08

Wizzy, sorry to hear about your sister. My aunt is in the later stages of agressive form of MS and it is so difficult. I think it's really important for her just to know that you are there for her if she needs to talk and that you are thinking of her, it really will make a difference.

It's a horrible illness for both the person and those close to them. I know my cousins had some counselling when my aunts condition got very bad. Her children will need lots of support too and it's sometimes easier if its with someone they don't know. There are lots of MS support groups out there, just a case of looking.

Sending you lots of big hugs, you know we're all here when you need to vent xxx

tigger32 · 10/11/2009 19:19

Wizzy So sorry to hear your sister's dreadful news, I really don't know what to say but am sending you lots of hugs.

Kyte Congratulations and welcome to baby Alexander, really pleased to hear cs went well. Oh and another lovely name

So Scarlotti and Erika next then ...... anyone else?

misssese · 10/11/2009 19:25

trikken it says on her profile she had a baby in march this year so think she got mistaken and thought it was just a mumnet facebook group not a due in November mumsnet group??

Trikken · 10/11/2009 19:31

oh right, ok. easy mistake tho.

Ninjacat · 10/11/2009 20:08

Wizzy am so sorry to hear your sisters news. Must be devestating for the whole family

Hope Erika is doing ok x x

Stormfly · 10/11/2009 20:34

wizzy - glad you are there for your sister (not geographically but in all the important ways) - very hard for all of you though. Wishing her all the best.

kyte - congratulations on baby Alexander and a good birth experience!

hobnob - hope you are feeling better soon. It is always hard to know what symptoms are pg-related and what aren't. That does sound quite like blood sugar though, especially the other day when a decent meal sorted you out. I am having my SF jab tomorrow and will remember what you said on the other thread about sleeping on the left side. Good point - I think I will ask for it in my right arm. Hope you have been managing to get some sleep.

Not sure about the FB thing. Well alright, totally clueless tbh so I might just stick with MN for now. You will still be talking on here when you are all FB friends, won't you?

Trikken · 10/11/2009 20:35

of course we will Stormfly

pinkmich1972 · 10/11/2009 20:44
