Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

hi, can i join? i am 9 weeks, i think my due date is 9th april although havent had my dating scan yet (its on 1st oct).
this is my second, i have ds who was born 17/03/06. had no sickness with him but feeling really awful this time. not actually being sick but feeling it all day and really tired cant seem to get my lazy butt to do anything at the mo ha. hope it goes soon my house is in desperate need of some tlc as dh and ds are not the tidiest of ppl.

adding myself to the list hope thats ok. i reckon my due date will prob be later after the scan but ill put it as 9th for now.

Well ladies, I had my booking in appointment at the Portland this morning and they asked if I wanted an early dating scan... I am 9+4 today. I said yes so I had a surprise scan! Baby's heartbeat was fine, measured fine and everything looked good. So relieved!

aw very happy for you. wish id been offered that but the midwife came to my home so i guess that would have been difficult. roll on a month for my scan. no doubt it will go as slow as the previous month has been though. i dont remember it dragging this much last time, but then again i didnt feel so crappy last time.

OK - I went to see my GP today only to be told that he does not need to see me, I just need to make an appt with the midwives. I asked the receptionist if I needed to see the GP and she said yes what a waste of time. So am not really any further forward.

I did make the midwife appt when I was there but I think I did not understand what she meant when she asked if it was my 1st, I said no, my 3rd (by which I meant pregnancy). Thinking back I think she meant my first appt!
I did say it was for a booking appt but maybe she never heard me. I'll have to phone tomorrow to ensure I have a long enough appt. I've definately got a pregnancy head on today

Feel the need to offload - hope that's ok ..... DP became ExP today. Packed his stuff and left.

This pregnancy was unplanned and he's been v anti since we found out 4 weeks ago. I don't want a termination - so he doesn't want to stay, although he says that it's actually because I'm not the one for him and he's been thinking that for some time.

Funny that. All seemed good to me.

I think that this is permanent - not just a trial separation - he was clear about that.

Friends and family are being incredibly supportive so I've got places to go and shoulders to cry on. Thank God.

Pretty scared about the future though. First baby, single parent and all that. Although ExP says he will 'help out'.

Glad I've got you guys too - it will be a great help through the weeks/months.

Puma sorry it has come to this with you & your ex. What an awful situation to be in. You are strong to stand your ground like that. You are in your early 40's right? I can honestly say that having my dd was the most special, wonderful, amazing thing that has ever happened to me. She continues to surprise & amaze me every single day & is the absolute light of my life. I'm 40 & aware that I'm not going to have many more chances to have more children (please God let this be a sticky bean), all I can say is get as much support as you can from your friends & family & from us lot on here & you will not regret your decision in 8 months time. I'm not saying that any of this is going to be easy on your own, it's hard enough when you have a dh, but the love & joy you get in return outweighs the sleepless nights & worry a million times over.

Oh no Pumagirl..I'm so sorry. We'll be here for you so vent away. Sounds like you have a good support system as well..so don't fret you can do it!

I'm so for those that have had losses, waspylady and LeeWT I've been there myself and had lots of support on the TTC boards. Thinking of you and hoping you get the time you need to heal x

Today wasn't so bad..I'm about 9 weeks now and the MS seems to be levelling off to a manageable place. I'm still up all hours peeing, barely able to keep awake in the mornings. I sure wish my 13 month old would nap with me. Poor little man hardly gets out of the flat anymore with me being so unwell.
The weather is finally cooling off here so I can take him for a walk after breakfast. The fresh air will do me a great deal of good.

Puma sorry to hear your blokes being such an arse but it might be easier for you that it's happened so early in the pregnancy as you have plenty of time to get used to being a single mum and to prepare yourself. I know that's no consolation!! Glad you have supportive family and friends he's going to be the one losing out!!!

Well... im 10 weeks today, yoohoo!! my morning sickness/tiredness is almost gone (lets hope its a good sign) and i def have a bit of a belly... still holding on before buying clothes though. Today is also the day my LO is starting nursery... Im soo excited for him though he doesnt realise whats is happening! hopefully he'll settle ok. Fingers crossed!

puma i completely agree with mummylovessadie you wont regret your decision, the love you will feel for your child will far outweigh any feelings you have for partners. i dont think i realised how much love i could feel for another person until i had my son and im married (sorry dh ha). glad you have family to support you and dont forget you can come and rant on here to us at any time

LeeWT so sorry to hear your news, and Pumagirl, likewise, what crappy news and crappy timing. Hopefully as others have said, it's better to find that out sooner rather than later. Not much consolation though, I shouldn't think. Feel free to vent and hopefully we can all give you some support and virtual hugs!

I'm now 8 + 4 and finally had to go shopping yesterday for new clothes. Spent a small fortune in Rigby & Peller to get some highly unattractive but VERY comfortable maternity bras, and to Gap for some maternity jeans which are really comfortable until you move / walk / sit down when they slip down to your thighs. Helpful eh. Can't believe I'm showing this much at only 8 weeks, I didn't have to buy new clothes until I was at least 12 weeks with DS.

Hope everyone's feeling OK and that the MS is subsiding a bit.

I am a bit grumpy this morning. I was a bit anxious at 9 weeks + to have not received a scan date yet, so I phoned the hospital to find out what's happened, and there is no record of me on the system. I phoned the GP receptionist who said she would fax the referral to the hospital again. So she did but without the date of my last period. So after another few phonecalls, finally they have me on the system. I just hope they can fit me in for a scan soon because I haven't grown as much as I thought I would have by now, and haven't felt very sick, so I'm concerned about mmc.

No maternity clothes yet for me, I was quite disappointed I could still get my jeans on today.

Pumagirl, poor you. What a useless git. Is it a committment issue do you think? Is there any chance he will come to his senses?
