Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

Can I just ask do everyone's boobs hurt or has the pain come & gone/gone completely? I'm trying not to freak out as I never get strong symptoms when pregnant but the soreness seems to have gone since the weekend. My temp is still high which is a good sign. I've done loads of googling today & everything I've read seems to say its not always a constant pain.

I've booked my 7 week scan for next Thursday & I'm half excited & half bricking it.

AdelaideJo · 01/09/2009 13:20

MummyLovesSadie mine hurt so badly last night, a constant throbbing in the right breast near the armpit to match the nag nag nag ache in my right ovary . Had to put on of my night feeding bra's on in bed!

But during the day they hardly hurt at all and I know later down the line they'll stop hurting.

Neeko · 01/09/2009 13:24

I too am freaking out about my boobs. Mine are much less full than before and that was my first indication of MMC last time I have a scan on Thursday.
Great question MLS but only next week will reveal the answer that you really need. Hold my hand with both our fingers crossed.

draughts · 01/09/2009 13:25

mistymoo Glad you are feeling a little better. I am surprised how rotten I feel this week, and I have done this twice before!

tostaky I also don't think slimming pants are a good idea, (though it did make me ) I think they are now on hold until next summer when we will be pouring ourselves into them! The bump bands look good though.

mummylovessadie My boobs definitely vary day to day with regard to soreness. The only thing that stays the same is that my nipples are massive, they enter the room a good thirty seconds before the rest of me!

I have a scan booked for tomorrow I should be 6+4 and I am very nervous. Has anyone had a scan around this time? What if anything could they see?

Am having a peaceful afternoon as feel really sick and rubbish. Boys watching a DVD, with bowls far too full of popcorn, and I'm mumsnetting on the sofa. They go back to school on Thursday and whilst I will miss them as I love having them around all day, I am looking forward to the peace and quiet!

Hope everyones okay.

waspylady · 01/09/2009 15:00

Hello everyone
Have had my scan today (7+5) and they couldn't find heartbeat so said I must have had missed miscarriage at v early stage.

Am feeling v shocked and sad.

So good luck to you all but I won't be joining you with an April baby

thighsmadeofcheddar · 01/09/2009 15:08

I'm so sorry WaspyLady, take care of yourself.

Bettymum · 01/09/2009 15:12

Oh waspylady so sorry to hear that . Is it at all possible that the dates are out and you're not as far along as you think? I hope that doesn't sound insensitive. hugs to you, take care of yourself.

Bettymum · 01/09/2009 15:13

Sorry, my brackets created an imaginary link. I meant ((hugs)) x

waspylady · 01/09/2009 15:16

no the consultant suggested it could be that my dates are out and as much as I'd like to believe it, I know that they are accurate.

The doctor was a specialist and said he had no hope so I just have to accept that.

Hopefully the actual miscarriage will start soon and so then I can get on with ttc again

Neeko · 01/09/2009 15:54

So sorry waspylady nothing anyone says will make you feel better for a while. Thinking of you.

Hi there,

Just found this post and wondered if I can join? I'm 5+4 so due on the 30th April. Haven't told anyone yet and not planning to until after the 12w scan, or that's the plan anyway. Got my first midwife's appointment in about 3 weeks so ages away yet. What actually happens at the booking appointment? Is it all just questions or are there any physical exams?

waspylady sorry to hear your news!

ThePhantomPlopper · 01/09/2009 20:05

So sorry to hear your sad news waspylady. Thinking of you.

Zeeky · 01/09/2009 20:26

Hi Trying4baby1

At the booking appointment they usually do a lot of form filling-in - your medical history and partner's medical history, where you would like to give birth etc. Also take a load of blood for testing, blood pressure & weight. They also give you your pack of notes & info.

With DS I was dreading that the MW would do an internal examination, but actually the first time that ever happened was when I went into hospital in labour and they were checking to see how dilated I was!

I'm currently 7+1. I got my scan appointment today - not for another 5 weeks when I will be 12+1. Seems like an eternity away!

My thoughts are with you waspylady

Snowtiger · 01/09/2009 20:40

MrsMerryHenry · 01/09/2009 21:33

waspylady, I'm really sorry to hear this. . Not sure if it's your first, but I miscarried before DC1 and know loads of mothers who've mc'd too. You're definitely not alone.

MrsMerryHenry · 01/09/2009 21:34
