Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

I have had horrid dreams too, two nights ago I dreamt a nuclear bomb was about to drop and I was cuddling DD saying it's alright, mummy's got you, trying to protect her from the bombs.
And last night was an awful one about finding dead bodies in the woods!

fifisboys, my gp did nothing really except book me on the hospital system and take my blood pressure. Let us know how it goes.

I know that worry all too well, I have a DS 13 months, but before him had a blighted ovum. I've had an early scan today, and as suspected, showed just the sac and yolk..nothing exciting. Am meant to go back in a couple of weeks to see what transpires. The sonographer seemed happy and I'm sure I was a basket case the last time I was preg as well. Thing is, I'm nowhere near as ill or sore as the last time...just..really really exhausted. Only time will tell, thinking about all you knicker checkers out there. Lots of crossed fingers for the coming weeks.

Hi all, been away for a while at my Mum's so have not been on here. I'm very sorry to come back to so much bad news - sympathies go to Mcfee and Zaramara.
I had dates for my first midwife appointment and my scan today - 2nd Sep (10 wks) and 18th Sep (12 wks) respectively. Makes it all feel more real! Not been feeling too bad, just a bit queasy and quite tired but can't complain. Remember it was 9-14 weeks for me last time when I felt the worst.
Snowtiger - I'm with you on the ridiculous worrying at all times of day - particularly about which room the baby will go in - whether my DS will have to move rooms and how will he cope etc. etc. My DP rolls his eyes and says it's a long way away so why worry. He has a point!

mcfee so sorry to hear that. and theres nothing anyone can say. you are extra fertile after a mc so when you are ready you can go for it again..

I know what you all mean about the dreams they are horrific!!

am starting to get symptoms now like nausea and tiredness. the nausea is pretty random at present. hit today right in the middle of a really formal hearing thingy i had for work and i just sat there trying to look intelligent whilst burping, a lot!

am very emotional and am nagging dh to beat the band, he got six penalty points in the last two months and i'm raging. why didnt he listen when i said dont talk on the phone and dont do 75 in a 70 zone ooohhh noooohhh that's nagging!!! grrrrrr

IMPORTANT QUESTION though! due to my recent mc i'm entitled to a scan pretty much whenever i want it. when do people recommend? am thinking 8 weeks coz u should DEF be able to see the heartbeat at that stage... mind you i dont fancy the internal scans much (who does?!)

Well i had an appointment with gp yesterday...waste of time!!!
She asked if i had folic acid, took my bp then said make an appointment with the midwife on your way out
I have made my booking in appointment but the earlliest she can see me is 9th sept when i will be almost 11 weeks, i am trying to get seen earlier as im aneamic and want my bloods done so i can get started with my iron tablets and stuff early if i need to so i dont feel so bad later on.

leewt My cousin had her scan after mc at around 9 weeks i think when she knew the heartbeat would be visable etc..
I'm also finding that im nagging and becoming really irritable at the minute as well...stupid things are getting me worked up!!

Im going into town to buy some maternity jeans, i was sitting at work yesterday and my jeans were doigging into me so much it was really uncomfortable...dp has got me paranoid in thinking we might be having twins

I had a really bad vivid nightmare too last night, i had a dream that there was someone in our house trying to find me to kill me, and i remember his face really vividly, luckily i went to bed before dh as when he came up to bed he woke me up... thank god!!

What is with nightmares during pregnancy?? I remember having them when i was pregnant with ds1 while on holiday in Thailand, and was too scared to be in our room on my own!

Actually, I had a very erotic dream last night ( and ).... Much more enjoyable, although oddly I didn't recognise any of the other people in it and there were several (, and )!

I am off the list again, as I mentioned at the beginning, I was not confident that it would happen for me this time. I have had blood tests to confirm that I am losing this one. This will be my forth miscarriage in the last year, so I am sadly getting used to it now. I have not yet started bleeding, but it should start in the next couple of days. So I am taking myself off the list.

May I add my self to the list. I am 5 weeks + 3 and due on the 12th April. Visited GP today and was surprised that I already had to choose hospital. I chose Watford General where I had ds and had an horrendous time there. I have no idea why I chose the same hospital again. Pregnancy hormones obviously kicking in already.

I am in a constant state of worry. I think I possibly may have had a chemical pregnancy a few months ago. It has also taken 14 months to conceive number 2 and I am convinced something will go wrong. I was initially suspected of having low progesterone, tests have now come back which show that my progesterone is very high which is supposed to be a good sign but I am now convincing myself that I have ovarian cancer or a molar pregnancy. I really want to fast forward to 16 weeks so I can relax a little.

CinnabarRed, pmsl about the erotic dream!! Weirdly enough I think that's how I got pg this time around! About a week after we decided to start trying for baby no. 2 (me thinking it might take us years to conceive as DS is a toddler and I barely have time let alone energy to think about sex!!) I had a v erotic dream and jumped on DH in the middle of the night - he thought all his Christmases had come at once. Woke up next morning and thought 'dammit, subconscious clearly wants me to get pg right away' and lo and behold here I am!!

Reminds me of something my SIL told my brother once when he woke her up in the middle of the night hoping she would be in the mood - she told him he could go for it, as long as he didn't wake her up again and remembered to pull her nightie down afterwards....

Lol at that cinnebar!! have to say dh and I are great fans of the middle of the night stuff i think its because you dont have to think about it when you are knackered

dollshouse welcome, i think i am the same as you. i am due 10th april by standard charts but have 32 day cycle which would make me 14th april. either way close enough!

fifi thanks for advice. yes i want to leave it long enough that there def be heartbeat but am obsessed at min which is making time drag..
lol at maternity jeans, do twins run in your family? next have some lovely maternity combats/boarder trousers for £19 and even tho im not showing i bought a pair because i find it hard to buy jeans/trousers at the best of times.. hope it wasnt tempting fate!

Lee I'm going for an early scan on Tuesday when I should be 8 weeks. When I had my MMC I was told to phone them at 7 weeks and they'd book me in for week 8. They said I should be far enough on by then to see a heartbeat. I did contemplate leaving it longer as my LO died at 9+1 but I'm a basketcase and can't wait.

Have been away for two weeks and i am pleased to report that i do have morning sickness now. but my boobs are absolutly normal!

does one know when we can strat to feel our uterus? I cant remember.
also i have a sonicaid (from DS pg) and i cant wait to try to listen to babys hb... but i think it is really difficult to do so before week 9-10 so another couple of weeks to wait.
Still havent heard from hospital about booking-in a[ppointment. Hopefully i will receive a letter soon...

Got my BFP yesterday for DC2! Still in shock, but over the moon. I guess, roughly I'm due 24th April. Appointment with doc next week.

These weeks go so slowly until the first scan, and I'm trying not to get too excited (I've been surrounded by people with mc lately) but can't bear not being able to tell anyone!!

neeko I have boob envy!! Even at 9months with DS1, my kumquats at best were lemons...yet everywhere else gained plenty. Oh the injustice!!!

hello all, well I have been away up north for a few days, sorry to hear the bad news .....

well I had to go to A&E on wednesday cos I started bleeding really heavily, needless to say I thought it was game over again but......went for a scan today and saw a very healthy looking bean WITH a little fluttering heartbeat am so happy I nearly cried when I saw it !! Am still bleeding but they couldn't find what was causing it and that it might just be one of those things that I have to deal with....anyone else had that??

Also bean measured exactly spot on with the dates so everything is good with the hoops!!!

The list is getting longer everyday, apparantly April babies are the best

hoops glad to hear that your scan went well. I've heard of other women bleeding and everything being fine but it must have been so scary for you.

So, I was scheduled to have another scan on Monday because my last scan only show sac and yolk sac. I was feeling really nervous and not looking forward to the weekend, so I called today and they are squeezing me in for a scan in an hour. I am so nervous, but I just want to know one way or the other that things are okay. I've been nauseous all week, but things have let us the last couple of days which has freaked me out of course. Anyway, wish me luck
