Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

forgot I was weeing all the time too!

CinnabarRed · 11/08/2009 09:51

Oh yes, the weeing. I commute into London, and even if I go to the loo just before I leave the house I still have to dash off the train straight into the ladies at Marylebone.... at 30p a go it's going to get expensive!

Has anyone else developed super-smelling ability yet? I can tell what DS has had for lunch as well as dinner when I get home each day.

Bettymum · 11/08/2009 10:10

My superpower sense of smell seems to have disappeared already. We cooked some fish a couple of weeks ago that was past its best (we didn't eat it) but I was smelling that for days afterwards.
I am starting to get the sore tummy/queasiness thing going on now .
Weeing not too bad yet, luckily as I have a 50 minute drive to work each way!

CinnabarRed · 11/08/2009 11:04

LeeWT - I'm going out with four of my best friends in a couple of weeks, and I've already decided that I'm going to fess up to them if they ask me directly why I'm not drinking (which I'm pretty certain they will). I trust them to be understanding if things don't work out as planned.

Although there is still some sensitivity there because one of them has been TTC for well over a year - I might tell her beforehand because I know she will be upset (although pleased for me, IYKWIM) and I want to give her the chance to react without other people there.

I'm not going to tell anyone else though.

Dwayne what does your arrythmia feel like? Is it like palpitations and breathlessness? I had a few episodes of that late in my last pregnancy, but I've had two in the last couple of days and I'm not quite 6 weeks! Do you know what causes it?
I am also thinking about mcfee.

ReneRusso · 11/08/2009 16:10

Went to the doc today to report my pregnancy. Turns out my blood pressure is really high. I was quite surprised as I generally have quite low blood pressure and these last couple of weeks have been struggling not to keel over when I get up, which is a sign of low blood pressure. So don't know why it has suddenly rocketed, or if it is pregnancy related. I was so taken aback I didn't ask any of the questions I wanted to.

Welcome ThePregnantPhantomPlopper and congratulations - I'm on #3 as well.

thehuntress · 11/08/2009 17:28

Hi Ladies. Well last week I was chuffed because I had no nausea. But it hit me like a ton of bricks over the weekend (along with extreme tiredness) and I'm now wondering how I'm going to cope with the next couple of months. I'm not throwing up, but seem to have mild to medium nausea 24/7. At least it makes me feel more confident about my scan on Monday. I went for acupuncture today, which helped a bit. I'm also wearing those wristbands. I think the tiredness is getting me down more than anything. Is anyone else feeling overwhelmed at the thought of feeling sh**e for 7 1/2 more months? I didn't really 'enjoy' my last pregnancy and now I'm already counting down the days.

LeeWT and Cinnabar - Similar to you, I have a work offsite in a couple of weeks. At my work, these always revolve around drinking, so not sure how I'm going to handle that one. Usually I'm right there in with the best of them, so not sure they will accept many excuses. It is sort of a frat-boy type atmosphere Mind you, with this sickness I probably will just make excuses and not go!

Neeko · 11/08/2009 18:00

Hi. Just checking in on McFee Hope all is ok.

I have a scan booked for next Tuesday when I should be 8 weeks exactly. Fingers crossed cos I'm petrified.

wellieboot · 11/08/2009 18:09

thehuntress yes I I felt cr*p in my first pregnancy too, didn't really enjoy it, one of the reasons it has taken us nearly 3 years to do it again! I'm not feeling great either, but nowhere near as bad as last time as it's not all day long - however - I'm not even six weeks so I may have it all to come. Hang in there though and try to think positive - this time you know what to expect and that however long those months seem when you are staring them in the face, they WILL pass and you will feel better. Keep thinking of what you get at the end of it too and look after yourself as much as you can - tiredness and stress definitely makes the nausea worse I find. HTH

mcfee · 11/08/2009 19:34

Thanks for all your good wishes.

Unfortunately, had lots more bleeding from Monday afternoon onwards and so scan only confirmed the worst as I had suspected.
Very sad.

Can some one take me off the list? Not sure I could do it myself.

RTUFF will be thinking about you on 17th Sept!

Hope all the rest of you have trouble free pregnancies, sending you lots of blessings for your beutiful new babies in April.

ReneRusso · 11/08/2009 20:38

Sorry to hear that mcfee.

Snowtiger · 11/08/2009 21:27

So sorry to hear the sad news from mcfee and zara , sending you hugs and love.
I've got a few boozy parties coming up and have decided to go for a half-way-house about fessing up - I'm saying 'we're trying for a baby and I may be pregnant so am playing it safe until I know for sure' while I sip my soda water and look longingly at everyone's glasses of vino
I've just started to get some nausea (am about 5.5 weeks I think, not been to GP yet) and am making sure I've always got extra strong mints and crystallised ginger with me, I found both really helpful when pg with DS. Am also starving and knackered all the time and weeing every half an hour. Add that to lying awake at 4am worrying about coping with baby plus toddler, and mentally working out where furniture for baby will go, whether DS is big enough to go into a big bed yet so baby can have his cotbed .... am exhausted!! Great fun this, innit?!

fifisboys · 12/08/2009 09:59

So Sorry mcfee

I have appointment with gp today before i book in with midwife..not sure what to expect, does anyone know what the gp will do??

PrincessTweetz · 12/08/2009 10:06

I've just logged on after a couple of days of not logging on, cuz I've been feeling ROUGH!!!
I'm soo sad to hear about Mcfee and Zaramara 's news...it really makes you realise how lucky you are..BIG hugs go out to you both xxx
I've been having really horrible and vivid dreams as well...I've been trying to force myself to stay awake as long as I can, in the hope that I won't wake up in the early hours, and take hurs to get back off...in the last few nights I've been targetted by a corrupt police force, the car I've been in has been hijacked, and I've lost all my teeth!!!! I'd forgot about the dreams lol...and the weeing at night...oh my goodness!!! Still nt much actual sickness tho, so that's good...although I think because of that, my partner thinks I'm toally symptom free, and still assumes I can whizz around the house in minutes,...I'm glad he thinks of me as Superwoman hehe, but I certainly don't feel like it!!!

I'm having the nightmares too. Last night's was particularly horrible, and particularly vivid. I dreamed that DS (20 months) had died in his cot and that two angels came for him - the angels told me how lonely it would be for him in heaven because he doesn't have anyone there he knows or who would help him learn to grow up. I begged them to let me go with him, or at least to let him take his cuddly toy for comfort, but they said no and took him away. I'm crying again now just thinking about it.
