Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

sending good wishes mcfee

CinnabarRed · 10/08/2009 06:06

Thinking of you, mcfee.

It's such a relief, knowing I can talk here with you ladies. For DP, our BFP is a delicious secret to savour between ourselves for the next 2 months (hopefully), but I need to talk.

I had a panicky moment last night, worrying about how we would cope with two and whether our DS would be unhappy. Ladies here with two DC already - how was it for you going from one to two?

I had a disasterous pregnancy with DS (went into pre-term labour twice, at 29 and 31 weeks, thankfully stopped by medical intervention both times, was hospitalised from then on, and finally developed a very rare, excruciating but fortunately only temporary kidney failure. Labour came as such a relief!). Hope this one isn't similar...

sausagesupper · 10/08/2009 09:23

OMG cinnabar. Don't worry, you will be fine with 2 kids. This will be my third. The jump from 1 to 2 is so much easier than from 0 to 1!!! Fingers crossed this pregnancy will be easier for you. tbh the biggest difference for me being pregnant was that with my 1st i could relax and really focus on myself, which you can't if you have other dc's to look after.

Rtuff · 10/08/2009 09:29

Good Morning everyone!

I hope everything goes well for you Mcfee let us know how you get on!

Is it just me or has everyone morning sickness become really bad since hitting the 6 week mark (well tose of you that are 6weeks +) my "Morning" sickness doesn't begin to subside untill about 4pm! and is getting worse... is this happening to anyone else?

OP posts:
Bettymum · 10/08/2009 10:00

Morning!
I will be 6 weeks on Wednesday so hopefully I don't suddenly get hit by morning sickness!
I have been having really horrid, vivid dreams, I think that's quite common in pregnancy. It's quite a relief sometimes to wake up.

mcfee · 10/08/2009 11:01

Hi. Update for those of you on here last night. I passed a whole lot of blood with clots etc all at once last night about 10.45. Have had no more blood since just back to brown discharge but I assume I have lost the baby.
Tried to phone midwife this morning but no midwifes available on a Monday morning (?) and phoned EPU but they wouldn't see me without a referral regardless of what the website says. So have seen a (lovely) locum GP who has got me scan at EPU tomorrow morning but she is not hopeful and neither am I but still want scan for a bit of closure IYKWIM. Will let you know for definite tomorrow and some one can take me off the list.
Sorry to depress you all but needed to tell somebody. That's the problem with keeping it all such a secret for the first 12 weeks - no one knows to give you a hug when it all goes wrong.

Bettymum · 10/08/2009 11:06

Aw mcfee (((((((((((((hug))))))))))))) that is a huge hug for you. I'm so sorry. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow x

ReneRusso · 10/08/2009 11:18

So so sorry mcfee . I hope you get a scan soon as I agree it would give you closure.

zaramara · 10/08/2009 11:32

Hi ladies

Had a really bad morning and miscarried at about 5am. I knew before they scanned at the hospital that it was all over. Then had to sit around for 2 hours waiting for them to take blood. What genius puts the emergency EPU next to ante-natal just to remind you on what you're missing out on?? Feeling very sad right now.

Please could someone take me off the list?

Mcfee, really hope you have better news tomorrow.

Hope the rest of your pregnancies go smoothly. I'll be thinking of you in April.

x

CinnabarRed · 10/08/2009 11:51

So very sorry zaramara.

Still crossing my fingers for you mcfee

thehuntress · 10/08/2009 12:39

zaramara so sorry, and thinking of you

And mcfee, although it is hard, try not to think the worst. It's horrible they couldn't get you in for a scan today as I know it is going to be a very long 24 hours for you.

Bettymum · 10/08/2009 13:03

sorry to hear your news zaramara big (((hugs))) to you too. What a horrible morning.

zara I'm so sorry to hear your news there's nothing anyone can say .. Tho in my case people had plenty to say and it was always the wrong thing..

mcfee I wish I could say something helpful I know how awful it is I had to wait a week with my mmc to see if preg viable or not.. Really hope it goes ok tomorrow doesn't hurt to cross fingers.

Both of u take it easy and let dh's look after you xxx

fifisboys · 10/08/2009 16:08

So sorry zaramara

I'm thinking of you mcfee I hope you come back to us tomorrow with good news!!!

cinnabar You'll be fine with 2 kids..i have 20 months between my ds's and it was so much easier than i was expecting it to be...when i have this dc i will have 3, the oldest being 3, and the weekends we have my step-daughter we will have 4 under 4's

Neeko · 10/08/2009 18:39

So sorry zaramara it's the most awful feeling in the world. Be kind to yourself and spend some quality time with your DH whilst allowing yourself to grieve.

Mcfee sorry about the bleed and very that you're having to wait. Hope you're just one of those women who bleeds for no reason and the news is good tomorrow. I'll be thinkig of you. What time's your scan so we can send positive thoughts?

Welcome to sausagesupper Your name is making me hungry

fifisboys you either deserve a medal or a nanny!

sherby · 10/08/2009 20:37

Hello All

Think I might pull up a sofa and join in

not sure on EDD, its all been complicated this week, found out I was pregnant, then because of a previous ectopic I went in for early scans (couldn't see anything) and repeat HCG tests. HCG doubling as it should and another scan tomorrow so hopefully everything is going to be ok!

I think I am about 5+4 today.

This will be my number 3 and am still breastfeeding number 2 lol. No breast tenderness at the moment, buts lots of nausea and queasiness

sausagesupper · 10/08/2009 22:23

hi neeko
sadly have totally lost my appetite... maybe not a bad thing. Actually lost my sense of taste, how wierd is that?
Still sending positive vibes to mcfee and zaramara, you are in my thoughts tonight.

LeeWT · 10/08/2009 22:48

Some questions/thoughts for the day gals:
Chips-
can i check is anyones appetite increased yet? mine def has.. i remember with dd i used to wake up at 5am absolutely starving!
BUT! i decided i'm not going to put on like seventy stone this time so splashed out on a tefal actifry (like deep fat fryer but only uses tablespoon of oil) and omg the chips were gorgeous and mostly guiltfree!
told dh it was worth the money because i wont send him out to the chipper!

Scan-
5+3 today and battling with myself about whether i want to put myself through a scan next week or week after or just hope for the best..

Drink-
Am going away on saturday for two nights with 5 of my best friends for a piss up weekend. am i best to just fess up from the start?

LeeWT · 10/08/2009 22:50

ThePregnantPhantomPlopper · 10/08/2009 23:44

Hi all.

Got a + the other day and reckon I'm about 4.5 weeks with my 3rd. I'm a paranoid mess this time, after 2 healthy pregnancies I'm scared this one won't work out. Also having a hideous cold is not helping my mood.

The only symptoms I have are weeing a bit more than usual, sore boobs and I'm constantly hot.

ThePregnantPhantomPlopper · 10/08/2009 23:46

Oh yeh.. due on the 16th April.
