Pinkjenny · 08/07/2009 11:14

Er, no. Good for you though!!

Moosy · 08/07/2009 12:24

I'm 18+3 and I'm still down 3lbs on my starting weight. I lost 6 and have put 3 back on so I'm 8 stone 3 now

Devongirl · 08/07/2009 12:50

I've put on about 8lbs so far

SarahL2 · 08/07/2009 21:51

I've got my 15 week midwife appointment tomorrow - really looking forward to hearing DC's heartbeat.

Tummy's been feeling realy tight and stretched today, it's been quite uncomfy.

Got DH to get my old maternity clothes out of the loft so I can get them washed and ready to wear again...had the first "are you sure there's only one in there!" joke today. Wouldn't have minded but it was from a pregnant friend who's 3 months ahead of me!!!

OP posts:
Scorps · 09/07/2009 10:27

I love hearing Smidge's heartbeat

More and more people are finding out im pregnant, i have had mostly positive reactions, some 'crazy lady' things but its all ok.

My bump is very small and people keep saying that - well i know he/she is growing fine, so there! Last few days i have been more awake, pleased as i get to see my husband more

SarahL2 · 09/07/2009 17:33

Heartbeat was good and strong - much clearer than DS's ever was.

Really reassuring.

Told her about my dizzyness too and she said just to keep drinking lots of fluids. Blood pressure is a little low 110/60 but is the same as it was at booking in so she didn't seem too concerned.

OP posts:
1petshortofazoo · 09/07/2009 18:36

had 15 week check yesterday and BP was low 90/60. still feeling really yucky and 'not with it' MW didnt seem concered. anything I can do regarding BP??

Glad heart beats are good!!

SarahL2 · 09/07/2009 19:40

My MW said notihing I could do but drink plenty of fluids and maybe a pregnancy multivitamin (which I'm already taking). Hope you feel better soon pets

OP posts:
Moosy · 09/07/2009 19:49

Salt can help, and drinking lots and lots to increase your blood volume. My iron results came back yesterday - 9.6 - so coupled with the low BP it's no wonder I've been feeling like poo!

Avoid getting too hot too as that will make it lower and make you dizzy.

SarahL2 · 10/07/2009 07:39

An excuse to eat ice lollies and Salt and Vinegar crisps!!

I love you Moosy

OP posts:
Milliemuffin · 10/07/2009 09:47

I've got a new found likeness for cheese&onion crisps, unfortunately my 2yr old likes them aswell so I rarely get a whole pack to myself.

I'm off to Devon for a week tomorrow so hope you all have a good week. I've definitely been feeling some 'fluttering' recently so think I could possibly feel my first real kicks next week whilst I'm away. Fingers crossed for good weather please xx

Scorps · 10/07/2009 10:14

I don't think i have felt my baby yet, 16 weeks today. With my third, my placenta was anterior and i didn't feel her until about 20 weeks

I am hugely umming and arring about finding out the gender, we have always known before, this is last baby...maybe a suprise would be nice? Help!

LaDiDaDi · 10/07/2009 11:12

I have felt some definite flutterings when lying on my tummy to read in bed. No proper kicks yet.

We will definitely be finding out the sex if the sonographer can tell us. I'm really excited about 20 week scan but also a bit nervous as I've been sooo anxious that something is wrong in this pregnancy. Hopefully afterwards we will be telling dd if she is going to have a brother or a sister.

Moosy · 10/07/2009 12:20

I can't wait till my scan and to find out who's in there, It will nice to be able to tell the DDs "you're going to have a baby brother/sister".

Have felt lots of movements, I have an anterior placenta this time but it only seems to have delayed the feelings by about a week, I just bypassed the flutterings and went straight to the kicks

Saw GP this morning about my low iron, he's arranging a consultant appointment and thinks they might want to do a tranfusion. Part of me says 'eek no!', the other part says 'yes please, more blood and better quality!' Of course my mum (daily mail reader! ) says 'oooh no, you don't want to catch hepititis!'

Scorps · 10/07/2009 12:32

Moosy - you are due nearly 3 weeks before me though... of kicks! I'm sure smidge will do his/her thing soon...lol

See i normally love to know, i like buying coloured things, arguing discussing names, it helps me to bond and to pre-picture my family iyswim. But i am now thinking imagine discovering the sex myself after all that work, me being the first to see, (plus DH cannot say no to my girls name when i have just given birth )....but DH is so set on a dd2 that if it is a ds3 it will give him time to get used to that, i don't mind too much not knowing, and there are enough suprises at birth! Arrgghh!!

I finally feel like i have my normal life back at last - i feel sociable, awake, well, lovey with DH, its all good.

Moosy · 10/07/2009 13:26

Sorry scorps, I do feel babies quite early though, I felt DD1 and DD2 at only 16 weeks, so 17 weeks this time seemed late to me!

I had a surprise with DD1 which was a good thing, as DH REALLY wanted a boy, so if he'd found out half way that she was a girl I think he would've struggled to be so excited. As it was I had such an awful birth that by the end of it he wouldn't have cared if she'd been a goat he'd still have been pleased! By the time we had DD2 he'd lost the need for a boy and was just as pleased as me to see another girl on the scan

Scorps · 10/07/2009 13:28

I'm 16 weeks today i felt ds1 by now, same with ds2...dd later, nut im not worried. im probably too busy to notice!!

Think i will chat with DH later about a final scan decision.

FlyingDuck · 10/07/2009 17:19

Hello FlyingDuck, welcome to our thread. How are you feeling?

FlyingDuck · 10/07/2009 18:11

Hi Devongirl,

I've been feeling pretty good lately; the second trimester is much more fun than the first! It's also quite a relief to once again be able to eat a balanced diet (fish and vegetables seemed to be the devil's work for a while there), and not feel permanently nauseous (although oddly enough I was never actually sick). I've just looking back over the thread to see what I'd missed, and am glad to see your post about pregnancy rhinitis - DP and I were wondering what on earth was wrong with me; I thought I must have late onset hayfever or something! So thank you for that. It's good to see there are lots of 2nd time (and more) mums in this group, to quell the fears of all the anxious first-timers like me.

1petshortofazoo · 10/07/2009 19:42

Thanks Sarah and mossey, I'm trying to drink plenty but spending more time on the loo as a result

On iron tabs aswell as have low HB they are a pain as you have to take them 2hrs before and after any caffee, dairy, gluten and wheat!!

hope things settle down soon....

havent felt any movement as such but tummy often goes really hard for a few mins like branston hicks, cant remember if it happened last time...

Hi Flying Duck, glad to hear someone else is snotty too! I have enormous sneezing fits and am sneezing really loudly to avoid hurting LO! Stupid, I know it's not going to do anything but I can't help it!

Glad to hear you're feeling better - I don't like that first bit where you know you should be eating healthily but the only appealing things are totally processed foods (pot noodles for me although I managed to not have any this time!)

Hello Firawla, welcome to our thread x

SarahL2 · 11/07/2009 12:03

Feeling really grotty today. So tired I ache. Feeling sick and headachy and just want to sleep. Not even feeling hungry.

Hope I'm not coming down with something!

OP posts:
lolianja · 11/07/2009 14:22

Am 16 weeks on Tuesday, 20 week scan on August 12th.

The babies are really moving about down there and frequently, can feel it very clearly now! Sickness has gone thank buggery but now I'm anaemic, sod's law! The supplements are a disaster, have thus far succeeded in giving me the shits and not much else.

Hope all's well, will catch up asap.
