GS - what about a sugary snack? - this should cause some movement or just if you lie down and by not moving yourself you'll feel some movements.

GoldenSnitch · 03/08/2009 22:14

I tried some cold coke and a sit down tonight but it doesn't seem to have done anything. In fact, I've been sat here for about an hour with nothing that felt conclusive

I've even tried star jumps then sitting quietly!!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 04/08/2009 07:51

How is everything today Snitch? I sometimes have days where I feel nothing and no matter what I do the baby doesnt want to cooperate and give me a reassuring boot.

GoldenSnitch · 04/08/2009 07:56

I laid in bed for about half an hour this morning (DS was playing happily in his room) and nothing .

I told DH and he just reminded me that I had the same issues with DS - although that was more towards the end of my pregnancy. I suppose baby is too little to make much of a kick yet and I wouldn't feel it if he/she's facing the wrong way.

Only 1 week till our 20 week scan now and we'll be able to see baby again and be reassured.

My husband has been having an affair since March with a 19 year old. I am really sad and shcoked and have kicked him out.

I'm scared of being pregnant and newborn alone . I have a thread in relationships. I just don't knowwhat to do

anniebigpants · 04/08/2009 08:24

OH Scorps hun, that is shocking. Sending you all the love in the world and i hope you work this through, if that is what you want, or have the strength to go it alone if you dont want to work it through. I dont know your DH but he needs a good swift kick in the balls to bring him to his senses.

GoldenSnitch · 04/08/2009 08:25

Oh no Scorps! That's awful news. Will check out your thread...

alexpolismum · 04/08/2009 08:29

Oh Scorps! I'm so sorry to hear that!

Do you have any rl support from friends and family? You don't have to be alone. One of my friends kicked her dp out for similar reasons when she was about 24 weeks pregnant, and her friends supported her all the way to the end, her sister was with her for the birth. I took her other child to the park after the birth a few times so she could have some time with the new baby. Is there someone who could help you like this?

alexpolismum · 04/08/2009 08:30

And what a knob, doing this to you while you're pregnant

Tillyscoutsmum · 04/08/2009 08:38

Scorps - have posted on your other thread (really long - sorry ). This is not your fault (keep saying it until you believe it..... please )

Scorps · 04/08/2009 08:41

alex - yes i only have few friends but the ones i do have are totally amazing people who will help. My parents are very supportive of me always and they love me.

Scorps · 04/08/2009 08:44

i do have some very good friends to help, yes.

Sorry i am a bit shcoked and hate him right now, tbh.

Scorps · 04/08/2009 08:44

what makes it worse is that this pg has been v hard for me, and i mc in feb, so the whole time i have been scared to death, he has been doing this.

anniebigpants · 04/08/2009 09:13

Anymore movements Goldensnitch-ive only felt movements every day since coming up to 23 weeks, even couple of weeks ago would only feel occasional squirm ever 2-3 days, ive got a doppler so would have a listen in for reassurance now and again.

Milliemuffin · 04/08/2009 09:16

I dont have any words of wisdom because I can't imagine how you must be feeling but I just wanted to send you a big hug xxx

GoldenSnitch · 04/08/2009 09:17

I'm 19 weeks now but this is DC2 so I expected to feel things a bit sooner. Its definitely been a few days since I felt something that was definitely a kick. There's some squirming going on but most of that is tummy rumbling I think.

We had a Summerbaby doppler for DS but it was rubbish - even at 30-odd weeks, I couldn't hear anything!!

Tillyscoutsmum · 04/08/2009 09:20

GoldenSnitch - I am 21 weeks and its my second and I also can only feel the occasional kick every few days or so. I think they are so small at this stage that they only have to be facing the other way and you won't be able to feel them for a while.

anniebigpants · 04/08/2009 09:22

i bought a Angelsounds doppler for £25 off Amazon and it is fab, heard heartbeat quite clearly from 12/13 weeks, you can hear the placenta wooshing and babs kicking and moving around.
This is DC2 for me too, but only really getting definated daily kicks from 22 weeks onwards (am 23 weeks today )

GoldenSnitch · 04/08/2009 09:34

Avoid this one like the plague. It's absolute rubbish.

Mybox · 04/08/2009 10:57

Scorps - this is really shocking and awful - you look after you and your wonderful kids xxx

Milliemuffin · 04/08/2009 11:31

My mamasandpapas order has just arrived and they are by far the most fantastic maternity jeans ever! The bump band is so comfy and the greatest thing is they dont have a 'mum bum'! I've always been on the skinny side and most maternity jeans look ridiculous from behind cos I just dont have the bum to fill them but these are great! Highly recommend them.

www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-twisted-jeans/s0005759/type-s/

I also got this... www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-carpenter-skirt/s0005793/type-s/

It's a little big at the mo' but sure it'll look great in a month or so. £40 for jeans and £30 for skirt so not the cheapest but I don't intend on buying anymore.

Devongirl · 04/08/2009 12:18

Scorps, am thinking of you, there isn't anything we can say to help really but just wish you well and we're all here for when you need to vent your anger xxx

ViktoriaMac · 04/08/2009 12:48

Scorps,
Thinking of you.
x

Claire236 · 04/08/2009 18:01

Scorps that's terrible, I'm not surprised you hate him

BexJ78 · 04/08/2009 20:12

Scorps, really sorry to hear that. what an absolute tool.
