People have been asking me how many are in there

Sonographer could only see one at the 12 week scan though.

2 weeks till I get checked again - maybe they'll find baby 2?

Devongirl · 27/07/2009 17:35

Goldensnitch - I got asked that throughout my last pregnancy, and several times so far through this one - I can't help it if I have an enormous bump! I have a small frame! Where else is baby meant to go but out the front! Rant over (got asked today by the way, hence anger!)

My bladders don't feel any different by the way - this baby is very mysterious

GoldenSnitch · 27/07/2009 19:37

I am only 5'1" (152cms) - DS was 52cms when he was born which was over a third of my height! When I went in to give birth even the miidwifes were sucking thier teeth and saying "ooh, that's a big baby" - he was 7lbs 9ozs which is only just over average!

I think you're right Devon, with no up and down to go, our babies just pop out.

So far the only people to ask me this stupid question are pregnant women! One of them is 8 weeks behind me so I'll give her a few weeks and ask her the same thing - see how she likes it!!!

madmissy · 27/07/2009 19:43

i am carrying a bit different this time i look like i have a football mind you dd1 was about the same she was 7ld 6oz, dd2 i got big everywhere she was 8lb 3oz god knows what the next will be!

GS thats quite funny when you compare heights!

madmissy · 27/07/2009 20:13

can i just do this ggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrr

Devongirl · 27/07/2009 20:33

The funniest thing with my last pregnancy is that I didn't really put on weight from behind, so it was when I turned around that people had the biggest shock - made me laugh every time!

(I'm 5'3.5" so feel quite tall now GS - thanks!) DS was 52 cm too - snap!

BexJ78 · 27/07/2009 20:42

Thanks Devongirl i have updated my details so list should now be up to date. By the way, is anyone else getting really sore buzoomers again?! Mine have been fine but then today have been quite painful? is that normal at 21 weeks??

Devongirl · 27/07/2009 20:44

Bex - mine are definitely swollen and when DS whacks me or pokes Mum's boobies it is very tender!

GoldenSnitch · 27/07/2009 20:59

DH always said that you couldn't tell I was pregnant from behind last time. The bra fitting lady told me I was all bump today too although I can see the expanding love handles!!!

If you think a third of my height at birth is good - he's now 2.4 and 91cms which is almost 2/3rds my height!!!

I love that he's not going to be cursed with my shortness but it's not going to be very long before telling him off requires getting him to sit down first!!!

BexJ78 · 27/07/2009 21:05

Oh glad it is not just me Devongirl although of course am feeling your pain!! They have been really hurting me today and i had to take my oh-so-attractive new maternity bra off, so now they are flapping around like spaniels ears...nice! DH thinks it is all hilarious!!

madmissy · 27/07/2009 21:36

mine are so sore they always become huge in pg for me dh loves them though but jeeze they are swollen and sore

BexJ78 · 27/07/2009 21:48

i shouldn't complain really as sore boobs are about the only crappy bit of pregnancy i have had so far. have been very lucky so should stop whingeing really!!

madmissy · 27/07/2009 22:14

thats it bex oooh you lucky woman you

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/07/2009 08:38

Scan today!!! Im not bothered by what I have but if im having another boy I dont think I could stand the "ohh were you hoping for a girl?" comments Grr.

Yup I have sore boobs too, especially my left one for some reason

I had a glass of wine last night, first time I drank since finding out about being pregnant (I found out at 4 weeks) and I think I have a slight hangover
I wasnt drunk, I just think im too used to waking up non groggy lol.

anniebigpants · 28/07/2009 09:20

Good luck with scan today AmazingBouncingFerret. Ive had a couple of those type of comments too, when telling people DC2 is a boy as well, one friend said 'oh what a shame' eh?WTF? Yes a girl would have been nice but i am not in the slightest bothered, boys are lovely
Off to get measured soon for new bra, im 38FF at the minute and starting to get overspill!

madmissy · 28/07/2009 14:04

ok i have caved gender scan booked 4.30pm i blame you lot lol

1petshortofazoo · 28/07/2009 15:22

woke up feeling terrible today, got a sore throat, runny nose, head ache and just all achy. had to go to work this morning bt glad to be home now.
might have to pull a sicky tomorrow....

i hope its just a cold....

madmissy · 28/07/2009 18:24

oh no hope you feel better quickly!

so i found out and i am having a BOY!!! im so happy! after 2dd's its fantastic as this was our last. perfect family can't quite believe it!

Scorps · 28/07/2009 18:28

My bump is still quite small, most people cant tell yet and im 19 weeks this week, and only a size 6/8, i can notice, why cant others??!! I'm 5'9 though so lots of height to hide in i guess . My Mum is only 5'2 and me and my 2 sisters are all 5'9, 5'10, lol. Dad is 6'4 though....

Boobs get sore and not sore all the way through IME mine are ok at mo, but were so sore at 16 weeks.

Congrats to all finding out genders, hopefully my baby will play ball a week friday. DH is off this week, so today i had a nap and DH made a lovely chilli for dinner. Lovely.

I keep getting headaches though, had to take paracetemol today as i couldnt even stand up properly.

Scorps · 28/07/2009 18:29

madmissy - we had 2 ds and then a dd, was lovely and so special

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/07/2009 18:37

Ok have been scanned, everything seems ok all measurements correct etc.
Got a nice view of spreadeagled legs...
Its a girl! So one of each.
I got a shot of the face straight on rather than profile, its rather scary looking isnt it!!

Scorps · 28/07/2009 18:39

ABF - a girl, lovely! was that a 3/4D scan or just normal? I think they look scary whichever!

Scorps · 28/07/2009 18:39

Has anyone got any names ideas, definites? We like Dexter or Mason for a boy, Lacey or Amber for a girl.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/07/2009 18:47

It was just a regular scan, so all I could see were 2 huge black eyes, white triangle nose and skeleton teeth!! Got a good shot of her poking her tongue in and out as well.

As for names we were going for Zachary, Stephen, or Samuel if it was a boy so I guess those names are out.
For a girl I have my heart set on Rosalie, which DH intially agreed with but now seems to be pulling faces. But im not backing down lol

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/07/2009 18:47

Why is it boys are easier to name??!
