Hello everyone - had my 20 week scan today and baby is doing fine, although we couldn't tell the sex. I don't mind it being a surprise at all but we are really struggling with names so we were just hoping this would mean we could concentrate all our efforts on one or the other but NO!

Also spoke to the consultant about E-CS and he agreed that planning for one at 40 weeks but trying everything under the sun to get the baby out naturally just before then is a great plan, so am feeling really happy now.

Devongirl that's great!!! Start raspberry leaf tea at 37 weeks, sex, pineapple, walks, curry..... Sex everytime for me though lol and surely they will sweep you at 39 weeks to help?

My scan is two weeks today, am v excited. I sometimes am sure it's a boy but something about a girl is niggling at me...... Dhs friends misses is in labour at this moment! Exciting

Dh is working until 7 again am a bit cross tbh. All weekened off though yay.

Hi ladies, its soo exciting finding out what we are all having. My 20wk scan isnt for another 3wks and I'm going to meadowhall tomorrow, so at work today I got the vet (I work at a vets) to have a look and she said it looks like a boy.... but that could be the cord lol. So I am non the wiser, I will have to wait.

Hi everyone, not been on here for ages! Had the scan this monday and we found out that we are having a little girl!! But not telling anyone else (let's hope there is no one on here who knows me!!)
am still not sure that i have felt the baby move, but hopefully will happen soon! just quite excited about it all. hope everyone else is doing ok. trying to stay awake until 11pm when I have to go to pick DH up from train station...

Soo exciting to hear the scan results starting to trickle in.

Feeling lots of kicks and wriggles now.

Also getting very scared at the prospect of coping with two dc!!!

I got my Downs Syndrome screening test results this morning. Got low risk - 1 in 10000 so feeling better now.

Wish baby would do some more kicking though. I'm so busy with DS I only feel it now and again and some days not at all. Looks like this baby is already making Mummy worry!!

I had dodgy dreams last night about how I went for scan and forgot to ask the sex of baby and ended up paying for another to find out and they couldnt tell, I was getting more and more annoyed by it! I guess it must be playing on my mind lol.

I'm trying really hard to eat a healthy diet. Despite being veggie I often don't get 5 portions of fruit and veg a day as I'm not that bothered about most fruit but lately I've really tried.

So far today: glass of pure orange juice at breakfast, two grated carrots, a small beetroot, 8 cherry tomatoes and lettuce as part of a salad for lunch and then more cherry tomatoes and spinach at tea.

I reckon that's about 7 portions so far .

Was 'naughty' tonight and had some coleslaw. Had to explain to DH all the risks and get him to tell me it was OK though. Decided I would risk it as it was a brand new, unopened pot, delivered just yesterday in the refridgerated Tesco's van and was pasteurised. Baked potatoes just aren't the same without it and I could be doing a lot worse!!

Also testing the Oven Pride claim that thier product is 'so easy even a man can do it' by getting DH to clean the oven racks while the oven 'pyro' cleans itself. Apparently, it gets so hot, it reduces all the grime inside to ash which can be just brushed out...we shall see If it works, it will rank up there with the dishwasher on devices I have fallen in love with in my new kitchen

I wish someone would invent a self cleaning house. You leave in the morning, press a button as you leave and hey presto clean and tidy house in time for your return!

Ooh, that would be good. All we need is some idea on how that would work and Dragon's Den here we come

Just checking in to say Hi and congrats to all those who've had healthy 20 week scans.

I'm just back from hols. I have my scan on Thursday but am a bit concerned because I still haven't felt much movement . We're hoping to find out the gender - I had some reflexology on hols and the therapist reckons she could tell the gender from a part on my foot. She's predicted a girl, so we shall see !!

Hello - I'm due dec 15. I've got an amnio next week which is going to be a difficult experience. Anyone else had one at 20 weeks? I didn't know how preg I was until my first check up last week.

NHS website says no coleslaw and no potato salad Missy cause of the risk of listeria.

It's probably minute though - it's just one of those things where I've read it so now I feel guilty for eating it.

ohhhh i know that houmous (sp) etc but i love colesaw mind you i know im pg from as soon as i go mad on prawns.
