Did everyone here see their GP as their first appointment?
I phoned up to book appt with mw not gp and wondering if thats why there is nothing til 10 wks, maybe they presumed I had already seen GP. ? (feels a bit negligent?)

Nemo1977 · 07/05/2005 20:44

becky i went to gp for my first appointment and she just told me to book in with mw at 8wks...didnt actually do anything

MINNIE1 · 07/05/2005 23:31

Good evening all.

Rang te hospital yesterday and i have to ring back on Monday to find out when i can be scanned, The nurse sounded really nice on the phone as i explained all about the m/c and she said due to it being Friday we won't see you today but call back on Monday and we can arrange a date. So looking forwarg to that..

I have had the longest day of my life, all of a sudeden everyone came to tell me about there problems weird.. But i am happily going to bed now as i am soooo over tired..

george32 · 08/05/2005 19:34

Nemo, so glad you are feeling more positive today.
I know what you mean about the sleeping thing. I spent hours asleep last night & then had to have a nap this afternoon!!
Went shopping & bought really random food as I was feeling pretty queasy. Realised when we got home that I had bought 8 jellies so I guess that is what I'm after at the moment!!

Good news that your hospital is being good about your scan Minnie. Sounds like they might get you in next week.
Becky, I went to see my GP initially and I don't see the midwife til 12 weeks. The nurse doesn't hang about though, she has already taken vast quantities of my blood!!

expressmummy · 08/05/2005 21:51

sweetheart · 09/05/2005 09:51

Express - I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Take really good care of yourself!!!!!

DQ - fab news about the scan - I'm so pleased for you.

Still feeling quite crap here - I'm all snotty and bunged up!!! Have been feeling quite low the last few days.
I've lost all of my pregnancy symptoms and I've even lost 4 Ibs over the last week. I've been eating as normal and haven't really done any exercise. I haven't been feeling sick or excessivly hungry like I was before - and my belly seems to have shrunk.
So all in all I'm thinking that something has gone wrong.
I'm really trying to stay positive and hoping that it's just coz I've had a cold but I'm even finding I've got more energy and I'm sleepng better.
I should be 10 wks today - I've got 2 weeks to wait til my next scan but just hoping some symptoms return before then

sweetheart,
Please don't worrie, A friend of mine lost a stone in the first 3 months, she was looking her best and went on to have a little boy (well i say little he was not so little at the time 9lbs)
I have been eating like mad hunger strikes all the time.. Hula hops for breakie GREAT. But nothing is goin on, weight is staying the same.

dramaqueen72 · 09/05/2005 11:25

express mummy, i'm so very sorry, please take great care of yourself and rest up lots.
sweetheart, firstly, most pg signs -ie sickness, etc etc go around week 10-12 so dont worry, secondly, if you ARE so very worried and i fully understand why, call and insist on a scan now. missed m/c are a reason to be seen, and even the worry of one should be too.

george, bloods already huh? wow keen arent they?
I'm a sorry state today, so very sick and miserable that i think everyones sick of me. I have never been this ill in my life and i really wish there was someway i could stop it. sorry sure you dont want a woe is me, but feeling lower than low with all the throwing up, the meds havent helped me much at all, certainly not with the feeling of going to be sick any moment, which is very invasive. my poor dh doesnt know what to do with me, and neither do i actually.
wishing you all a day better than mine right now.

MINNIE1 · 09/05/2005 11:26

s/h
Old thread on having no symtoms
Hope this helps.

ChaCha · 09/05/2005 11:29

Dramaqueen - sorry you're feeling so poorly. I am exactly the same right now, have been for a couple of days. Sympathy vote coming your way! I'm 11 weeks today, thought it had finally gone after having a few great days at work and out and about..it's come back worse!

Thinking of you xxx

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 11:34

Saw the little bean on Friday. It's 13mm long, and now 8 weeks along. Little heart was blipping away. Aw.

Is it safe to say I've escaped the constant vomitting I had w/DD??

MINNIE1 · 09/05/2005 11:49

expatinscotland,
Great news, O it must have been fab..

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 11:52

It was so tiny! But it was visible w/o transvaginal ultrasound. Right now, however, I'm just very, very tired.

ninah · 09/05/2005 11:58

gosh, I'm about 8 weeks too! had no idea you could get a heartbeat so soon. must've been wonderful

MINNIE1 · 09/05/2005 14:44

O i think my sickness has arrived!! Not feeling the best at all.. Had toast this morning yuke and same with lunch and garlic butter! Gone right off alot of foods. But i have gone mad for taytos.. 6 wks and its all kicking in!

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 14:46

Mine was measured at 7 weeks+5 days on Friday, ninah, and this was an abdominal ultrasound as well. So yeah, it's possible to pick up on the wee peanut even then.

beckymumof3 · 09/05/2005 15:51

SH have you had any bleeding? Do you have sore boobs at all? Even being bunged up is a sign of pregnancy (!).

When I had that stomach bug that I thought was m/s I bought the travel sickness bands at the chemist (pricey at £7.99) but they really did work. hth.

sweetheart · 09/05/2005 15:55

I haven't had any bleeding - but then I didn't have any last time I lost my baby either.

I did have sore boobs but those have stopped.

Is NotTelling still out there? No posts for a week or so, or have you revealed your real name??

beckymumof3 · 09/05/2005 15:57

SH I hope all is well - how did you find out last time? Maybe you could contact MW and let them know your symptoms (i.e. none) and push for a scan. Hope its all OK for you.
