sweetheart
Can i come with you pretty please......

dramaqueen72 · 06/05/2005 13:32

wooooho! a good happy scan ladies heartbeat and measuring about right for dates too. without me even having to plead they booked me another early scan at 11wks too, so I'm a happy bunny.
kangel, the depression suffered with m/s is absolutely 100% normal. its so crap isnt it/ maybe re-think those antisickness meds? i only take one in the monring and that keeps me 'unsick' til about 3/4pm. I am also looking into B6 vitamins for nausea too, ANYTHING really to get me thro this, I know I have m/s bad, I know I get it worst than most and why the heck should i sit here and suffere like its some sort of competition? because it isnt! so big hugs to you girl, and hang in there. its going t o fade for you soon, (and maybe sooner if you do the meds?) we can do this, and you WILL get to the 'cute bump healthy glow' stage I promise!
I'm def hiring a doppler, I have thought about the pros and cons but for my peace of mind its worth it, IMO anyhow.I intend to have mine arrive start of june-ish. sweetheart, there are always midwives who do and dont think its a reassuring thing to have a t home, my midwife thinks its okay, but my stand in midwife (who i would see when mines on holiday) thinks its OTT. whatever, its not their Pg is it? I will keep you informed with how mine goes and then you can always decided later. have you read the comments on the site i link you to?
anyhows ladies, wanted reallyt o let you know my scan was good, (bloody nerve-racking while they look and dont speak at first!!!) and that I get another one too to help reassure me. they also gave me the out of hours EPU number, so if i had any worries/bleeding/pains i could get in. they are fab fab ladies at my Early Pg unit!

Great news about your scan you must feel brill, and there going to do another at 11wks.. How many weeks are you now?

george32 · 06/05/2005 13:57

DQ, that is fantastic news. I am so happy for you
They sound lovely to book you in for your next one already.
Does B6 help with m/s then? I can't remember why I started taking it but that is great news if it helps with m/s too!!

SH, hope you are tucked up in bed taking good care of yourself by now

ninah · 06/05/2005 14:06

congrats, DQ!

yellowbear · 06/05/2005 15:19

Hi George 32, haven't dared post so far as didn't want to tempt fate, but I was so happy last night & also wanted to wish Dq luck. Not sure of dates really anywhere between 28th Dec & 2nd Jan as I have only been having really short cycles.

I also had really bad pains the other night & was sure something was wrong, but again I think that it must just be constipation as that is the only sympton I have at the mo, not taking anything though just trying to drink lots of water.

kangel & sweetheart hope you feel better soon, sweetheart get yourself tucked up in bed.

Minne it was great to see the heartbeat, will be really happy to get through the next few weeks though as alls been well at this stage before.

Sorry if I have missed anyone,ds is dragging me off to play.

Nemo1977 · 06/05/2005 15:58

DQ am soooooooo happy for u that everything is alright

gives me some reassurance as most people i know who have had mcs their next pregnancy has gone well...although also does that crappy nagging doubt in back of ur mind that odds are ine wont...cant bloody win..lol

ninah · 06/05/2005 16:13

nemo hang in there
the indications so far are positive
stay cheerful

george32 · 06/05/2005 16:14

YBear, you must be really close to me then (I'm 6 weeks on Sat). We are trying to be so optimistic but it is terribly scary isn't it.
I'm glad it's not just me with bowel problems, although I'm sorry you are getting pains too. DQ, I've been eating grapes all afternoon & drinking water but no joy so far!!!

dramaqueen72 · 06/05/2005 17:12

just think how bloody pure and healthy your skin is going be george from all that water and fruit!!! yah, b6 and b12 are supposedly good for sicknes and nausea, I'm having trouble finding one thats SAYS its okay during PG, all I have picked up so far say -as an ott precaution i guess- they ARENT. so what brand you taking? cause i neeeeeeeeeeeeeed some! infact i need al m/s rememdies poss. these meds are helping but not fixing it, and i cannot do another 8wks or so throwing up!!
I was 6wks and a half at the scan Minnie, so not huge amount of time til next scan. june 6th. then we are telling everyone as opposed to just inlaws knowing.
when they showed me the scan screeen my womb (funny word that) was HUGE! and then there inside was quite a large dark sac, with yolk, tiny baby and heat beating (heart was size of grain of rice!!) so altho my belly bean its self is tiny, my womb has already gone and grown large already, she said its because it knows what its doing!! LOL i suspect it has more to do with no stomach muscles whatsoever!

george32 · 06/05/2005 18:09

I've got Boots own & just checked the label & no mention of p/g anywhere so hope they are OK.

Right, have eaten an enormous bunch of grapes, drunk 2L of water and 2 sachets of senakot so things had better start moving!!

Nemo1977 · 06/05/2005 18:10

goldenoldie · 07/05/2005 08:48

Fab news DQ. You are lucky to get another scan at 11 weeks - what hospital is that? I won't get another one till I'm 13 weeks. I'm 9 weeks at the mo.

dramaqueen72 · 07/05/2005 10:46

goldenoldie, its princess anne hospital, in southampton, the early pg unit there. this time round they have been totally understanding of my 'paranoia' and altho like they say they cant stop anything happening, they can reassure me all the way, with scans until the doppler becomes an option. the nurse that scanned me yesterday also did my scan in jan, which was bad news, she was delighted for us and so pleased, in jan when she ahd to confirm bad news she was upset and almost in tears, so its SO NICE to have humans there iykwim.
threw up three times this mornign BEFORE i could even get to my sickness tablets! UGH! but found some relief in fruit ice lollies! thankgod, knew there was something that would help, its justa case of finding what it is for you personally.
also got some B6 with folic acid in, so only need to take ONE tablet but with both benefits after such a rough start this morning I intend to lie about on sofa today and 'take it easy'
hope everyones doing okay this morning.

dramaqueen72 · 07/05/2005 10:48

forgot to add once I'm 12wks I am beyond the early pg units help and wont get another scan til 21wks!!so nowheres perfect!

goldenoldie · 07/05/2005 11:51

Anyone else taking Vit E & C to reduce risk of pre-enclampsia?

Nemo1977 · 07/05/2005 17:32

morning all hope ur well....Well i think my pains r down to a water infection..not diagnosed yet but last night my back started to feel like i had been kicked in it several times and hasnt got any better today. Have been told mw should be able to test for it on tues and getting to see my gp takes a week so hope she can do..lol

DQ can empathise on the throwing up i started yesterday which is completely new to me. Have had nausea and diaherra[sp] but never thrown up in all my pregnancies and yet did at 10am yesterday and today...funnny how its the same times tho..lol

Papillon · 07/05/2005 19:49

I WANT ice cream

Everything going well for me... having some quesy feelings. I feel deeply for those who suffer more. ninah hope you start to feel better soon.

Spoke to my midwife last week for the first time and have booked myself in for a scan on the 18th. Will see my midwife after that. She homebirthed our first baby so nice to have her again with us

beckymumof3 · 07/05/2005 20:09

Nemo, hope you are OK - I had an undiagnosed water infection once that turned into a kidney infection and a week in hosp on IV antibiotics

If you feel any worse or get flu type symptoms or a fever get yourself to Dr pronto!
