Hi everyone,
Good luck with your scan tomorrow Minnie.
SH, I am so but so happy that you are on that final countdown to 12 weeks .
I like the 3rd dress you linked. Really pretty.

I feel so behind with you guys talking about feeling bumps. My tummy is solid but I think we are all aware of what that is!! (still haven't managed to eat any tinned prunes!!!)

Right didn't get chance to do it over the weekend so off to order my fancy new jeans and a lovely blue top to go with them!!

Nemo1977 · 16/05/2005 19:55

right just read through all todays posts and have now forgotten..so hello..lol

MINNIE1 · 17/05/2005 08:47

Morning all,
Went to see the nurse yesterday but she was gone so i was talking to the receptionist (she has been there all my life) and she said not to worrie and i have had chicken pox already. So that kinda put my mind at ease. I have my scan at 1.45 and the loo has seen me more times this morning, tummy is in a right mess. Here i am going to see if my bean is still with me.. wish me luck.

ninah · 17/05/2005 08:56

sweetheart, yup, love dress 3 as well, great colour too

babygibbon · 17/05/2005 09:07

Minnie, good luck with scan.
George - have you tried a tablespoon of linseeds a day for regularity? Add them to cereal, on top of salads, whereever really. I can't say I've noticed a vast difference myself, but a few of my friends swear by them. Worth a go!

Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but how do you feel the top of your uterus? I've tried a couple of times, but am scared of pressing too hard in case I hurt the baby. Should it be just above the pubic bone now? What does it feel like? Help appreciated...

LunarSea · 17/05/2005 09:46

sweetheart - I like the third one as well. Not that I could wear it mind you - my knees definately need to be kept covered up!

We'll hopefully finish decorating ds's new bedroom this week, and get him moved into it. Then will just need to sort out his wardrobe to work out which summer items will still fit him this year, and pack the smaller ones away.

That should leave me with an empty wardrobe in his old room (which all being well will eventually #2's room) and I'll take the opportunity to sort through my things to see what is likely to fit for the next few months. At the moment my normal things still fit fine, and I've got quite a few stretchy tops which will fit for a while yet (although they might make things more obvious than I'd like until we go public), and a couple of pairs of loose drawstring waist silk trousers left over from being pg with ds!

Funny - thinking back I don't recall buying much specific maternity stuff at all last time - just a pair of jeans, and feeding bras. I'm sure I must have bought more than that, but I can't remember what!

scully · 17/05/2005 10:19

Would just like to share with you all that I feel awful today
Feel like I'm coming down with a cold, nauseas and tired.....moan moan moan But 9+3 so getting there slowly. Looking forward to being double figures on Saturday and telling a few more people next week......
I liked all 3 dresses Sweetheart - that's a lot of help isn't it! Indecisive Libran and pregnant doesn't help!

dramaqueen72 · 17/05/2005 10:23

good luck with todays scan minnie.
my cleaner has quit today! via the phone ten minutes before she was due! the cow.........shudder at thought of massive ironing pile i now have awaiting ME. just when i SO feel like it. ugh.
desperately sick last night, and the second i opened my eyes this morning. its not fair. anyone want my m/s??????
baby gibbon, get your midwife to show you, i wouldnt want to risk hurting you by any attempts online. dont worry the babys waaaay inside you, all cushioned and safe

sweetheart · 17/05/2005 10:27

Morning - God I feel huge today.

My uterus is massive and I am bursting out of my clothes - well thats how it feels. Still I refuse to put my maternity clothes on!!! Well till Monday at least!!!

Babygibbon, the uterus just feels like a firm sort of lump - sort of as if you have a really full bladder. It's quite hard to discribe - ask your midwife to show you next time you see her.

BTW, does the fact I can feel my uterus (and it's the size of a house) mean good things??? If soemthing had gone wrong would it shrink so I couldn't feel it???? Neurotic sh is back again

Oh and good luck for the scan today Minnie - hope all goes well

sh, also feeling quite round, can still fit into trousers that were loose to start with but by the end of the day they are uncomfortable......had a great pair of drawstring linen trousers last time but do you think I can find them........
popping out for lunch soon, italian so pasta - hmmmmm

sweetheart · 17/05/2005 14:37

my goodness it's quiet in here today. I'm really bored at work and was hoping for someone to chat to!!! Anyone around???

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 14:40

hi sh just got back in
am shattered today for some reason....hope everyone is ok

dramaqueen72 · 17/05/2005 14:42

i'm here now, eating ice lollies, trying to brace myself for school run. ugh.

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 14:43

aww dq u feeling bad today
i am just struggling to keep my eyes open

sweetheart · 17/05/2005 14:44

ohhh could really do with a mint ice cream right about now.

I've just had lunch but I'm feeling "unfulfilled"!!!! I have been craving so many things I'm not allowed at the moment (brie to mention one) that I'm feeling a bit cheated food wise.

I weighed myself at lunch time - so I've I've put on 3.5Ibs which I was pretty chuffed with - esp considering I'm the size of a house today!!!

Hows everyone else doing?

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 17/05/2005 14:48

I dont weigh myself. I mean, youre going to put on weight, youre going to get big, nothing you can do about it in pg! so i dont weigh myself. and the drs dont either, unless they think there is a problem. phew! poor american girls get weighted EVERY appointment and get it commented on! i can still remember the day mind you that my waist overtook my dhs......
nemo, feeling really sick, constantly. threw up so much last night and this morning that i made my throat bled. oh great joy. i nap everyday when dd2 does. and then sometimes in the evening to. so i'm sort of a big sicky tired lump. mmm, lovely.

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 14:50

aww dq not nice..
sh i havent weighed myself they weighed me at booking in but i didnt want to know..lol

I wish ds would have a nap so i could sleep but hes hyper as ever...may try to snooze while he plays.

sweetheart · 17/05/2005 14:53

dq, so sorry to hear your feeling so bad. I know it doesn't help but at least you know you have a healthy bump!!!

I understand the tiredness issue - I've been feeling really drained too. Infact, it would be lovely to have a little snooze at my desk - do you think anyone would notice - lol

Nemo - how are the pains coming along - any better????

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 17/05/2005 14:56

the problem with doing that nemo is they trash the joint........dd2 does anyhow! i really dont want to do school run, get panicky sick feeling in car and hate it. am picking up nephew -who i dont like much anyway - and then have to hang about for dd1. ugh. WISH i could find whatever it is today that will settle my tummy and make me feel better. i cant seem to eat anything today, everything making me feel worse. then bloody dh will come home with a 'whats for tea' chirpy voice.....blurrrrrrrrgh.

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 14:57

SH pains have been ok past couple of days which is good. Generally feeling a bit icky but not very pg...lol

dramaqueen72 · 17/05/2005 14:58

sweetheart, I bloody better have a healthy bump after all this! if i have to go thro this and then it goes wrong, well,....i'm sueing someone.
apparently m/s peeks at week 10. I'm eight and abit. cant wait

sweetheart · 17/05/2005 15:02

ohhh dq, I sympathise with that perky "what's for dinner" attitude.

I normally just say - have whatever you want and make something for dd - I'm going for a snooze. Don't you just wish you could sleep your way through the first few months. I'd quite happily skip to 20 weeks

Nemo, it's great to hear your pains are better. Are you feeling more positive now? I have good days and bad days. Don't think I'll be happy until we're past the 18 week heart scan.

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 15:05

being positive comes in waves..lol Some days r fab others r a nightmare...im having an in between one today.

DQ hope all kids including nephew behave for u hun

LunarSea · 17/05/2005 15:06

sweetheart - you can get Brie made from pasteurised milk and that's ok. Says she who ate both roquefort and pre-packed salad the other day 'cos she'd forgotten she wasn't supposed to have it. tbh as I've never in my life had any problems with anything I've eaten (and I grew up drinking unpasteurised milk straight from the cow!) I reckon I've probably got a tough enough constitution to get away with it! Not that I'm going to deliberately push my luck, but I'm definately not going to panic about the roquefort.

Nemo1977 · 17/05/2005 15:07

cant u have prepacked salad..ive just been eating pre packed melon..opps

was rather tasty tho
