MINNIE1 · 11/05/2005 11:03

Sorry SH my spelling again, But i would advise you to ask your MW about the stich, she can onlly advise you on it.
The lady that had it had 3 mc previous and the on her fourth she had the stich in and went full term.

scully · 11/05/2005 11:10

stitch sounds much more comfortable!
sh, I've had people go to both hospitals so thought I'd check both out. Both seem a long way from anywhere, given I commute into London each day and dd's nursery is in Woking!

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 11:13

sorry - I think I'm feeling a bit over sensative today.

I'm pretty tired after an early start, worried about this and been thinking about old due date - all in all just feeling a little tearful

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 11/05/2005 11:14

sh i can understand
ITs hard coming up to due dates isnt it...mine would have been 25th june and the only thing that was keeping me going was the idea of being pg but what if that doesnt even happen

scully · 11/05/2005 11:17

poor you sh, you've got a lot going on right now. how's your cold today, any better?

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 11:28

sorry - I'm being really silly - I've diagonosed myself with something I probably haven't even got. My due date wsan't until the 30th June so that still quite a while away.

My cold is better thanks scully - didn't mean to slag off RS btw, Frimley is closer to me - thats the main reason I'm going there.

OP posts:
scully · 11/05/2005 11:33

It's good to hear all the feedback, good or bad! How long would you think it would take to get to Frimley from Farnham?
I must say I'm not so interested in working today , in case you can't tell!

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 11:35

well I'd say when traffic is good probably about 10-15 mins. During rush hour you'd probably be looking at more like 30 mins - depending on you route - and how fast your dh can drive under pressure

OP posts:
scully · 11/05/2005 11:47

so we'll make it there in record time then, he thinks he's a rally drive at the best of times
off the topic, do you know of any soft play centres in the area?

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 11:50

loads

Are you actually in Farnham?? There is about 3 in Farnborough, 1 in North Camp, 1 in Worplesdon Nr Guildford, 1 in Yately

I could go on and on, do you have msn????

If you want to chat more about the area offline (for privacy purposes) you could CAT me and I'll give you my msn address. I've lived here my whole life.

kangel · 11/05/2005 11:51

Morning girlies, hope your doing ok!

Big hugs to you SH.......Try to keep your chin up.

Well I've been off for a while, just can't cope with things at the moment, I'm losing so much weight as I can't seem to keep much down and constantly feel sick so don't want to eat anyway. Am struggling to keep my trousers up as they are so lose - boobs still blumin huge though
Have got an appointment this afternoon to fight for anti sickness tablets, not that I have the energy to fight but have enough tears. This is affecting my work now as I have sat at my desk since 8:30 and this message is the first thing I have done, apart from constantly have my head down the loo.

How have you guys done on these tablets? Do they work or do any damage to the baby? I am 10 weeks ish and was trying to last till 12 but its not easing up just getting worse.

Sorry for the moan!

MINNIE1 · 11/05/2005 11:54

kangel
You poor thing really feel for you, never had the tablets but i really hope you get them..

HUG)))))))))))))

scully · 11/05/2005 11:59

Kangel, sounds like you're having a rough time of it. How have you lasted this long with taking anything? The weight loss sounds like the only bonus
SH, I don't have msn unfortunately. I'll cat you though as I'm sure you have much more local knowledge than me! I hadn't been desperate to find any, just wondered where they were, if I did get desperate one weekend!

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 12:01

kangel

(((((HUGS))))) sweetie, sounds like you are having as good a day as me!!! Things will get better - for both of us. I'm off to pick up my new car tonight so at least I've got that to look forward to

Right - I just phoned my Dr - they have booked me in for a telephone consultation with the midwife this afternoon - although the receptionist was a little reluctant - she kept saying "but you've got no pain and no bleeding" cow!!!!

Anyway, Mears (our resident mw) also left a message on my other thread saying it's not uncommon to feel pressure down there at this stage and to try not to worry - so, now I'm feeling a little less emotional it's probably about time I did some work.............................................................................................................

nah, who am I kidding

OP posts:
sweetheart · 11/05/2005 12:04

scully - do you know Farnborough at all?? They have 4 (that I can think of) and they are pretty good - esp as you have your dd to entertain too.

There are quite a few good days out round here. I can recommend loads. My dd is nearly 5 so I'll be in pretty much the same boat as you come Dec.

OP posts:
kangel · 11/05/2005 12:07

Fingers crossed for you SH, I'm sure that it is normal. Its amaizing how the same thing affects everyone so differently. DH keeps reminding of the end result as I just can't seem to raise a smile at the moment!

Hope the new car cheers you up!! Don't talk to me about cars though, Mine was broken into Friday night, they trashed it and stole my amp out the boot then left the car wide open to get p'd on by the heavy rain showers!! As you can imagine I just stood and cried.

Feel like the world is against me at the moment which is pretty pathetic to what some of you guys are going through.

Nemo1977 · 11/05/2005 12:10

bleugh times getting on and im feeling sick

expatinscotland · 11/05/2005 12:13

I just got my NHS scan appointment - for 15 June. When I'm 4 months pregnant. The booking in isn't even for another fortnight after taht. Glad we stumped up for a private scan. And they're still doing AFP/triple tests?? Those are just a statistical tragedy. Of course, the better tests are more expensive.

Think I might go w/a different hospital this time. Last one has no private rooms available to book; it's burning hot in there as it is, much less with four women and four babies in one room with one bathroom.

I don't do well with lots of noise, and am already starting to suffer depression again (have appointment with psychiatrist at 6 months to determine if there's a need to start me on ADs in the last trimester, as had severe PND last time around). So think might go w/the other, less busy hospital and buy some peace.

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 12:26

NEMO - good luck hun, hope it goes well - let us know as soon as you get back!!!!!

kangel sorry, I wouldn't have mentioned the car if I'd have known. I know the feeling of everything being against you - try and do something to cheer yourself up - I'm going to get a Tuna sandwich for lunch - it's a bit naughty but I really fancy one - I'm so easily pleased aren't I

Expat - I'm surprised your scan is so late - is the triple test the neucal fold one - if so I didn't think it could be done this late on????

OP posts:
kangel · 11/05/2005 12:40

Its fine SH Am going for a photo shoot tomorrow, it was a present from DH for my birthday but I really don't want to go now. They will need a construction company to apply enough foundation to cover up the bags under my eyes. Its not till 5 and last 3 hours so its going to be a late one!

Nucal scans should be done at 12 weeks I think. I have mine on the 24th.

sweetheart · 11/05/2005 13:46

sounds lovely kangel - I'm hoping to have one done when I've got a brilliant bump to show off!!!

Well the mw phoned, she said she doesn't know what it could be and unless there is any pain or bleeding there isn't really anything she can do.

I didn't mention weak cervix because I didn't want it to seem like I'd been reading a medical encyclopedia and self diagnosing myself with everything!!!!!
Surly is thats what it was she would have known from my discription of my symptoms.
She suggested that to put my mind at rest I might want to consider booking a private scan.
