Have now spoken to GP and he reckoned it was a UTI, so I am on Cefalexin to be taken for two days longer than I feel symptoms for, i.e. probably 5 days. I happened to have a big stash of Cefalexin anyway as they prescribed me too many last time by accident, so it means I can get going on them straight away. He says if they're the wrong ones I will know by Friday and they can give me something else which would cover a uterine infection as well.

LaurenIsMoreThanReadyToPop61 · 15/04/2009 16:37

hope it works boff

BabyBunnyBolat · 15/04/2009 16:45

fingers crossed it stops it boff!!!

surprisenumber3 · 15/04/2009 17:00

CONGRATS BRONZE - jammy so and so xx

Hope you feel better soon Boff.

Well since I posted this morning saying baby hardly moving she hasn't stopped! Really wriggling, even made my plate fall off my lap! really painful too as so far down and feels like fingers in my groin!

Carameli · 15/04/2009 17:28

hi all, congrats to all the new babies. Been having a few sleepless nights here, restless legs driving me mad again and then ds1(2yrs) had bad dreams one night and even with dh sleeeping in his room I could not relax, arrrgg.

Feeling fed up of being pregnant now and just want to get on with it. Been quite moody with everyone as well which has not helped, had a big row with dh this morning, hate it when we do that and he goes off to work

keep having braxton hicks I guess( you'd think I would know it being my 3rd
but nothing more than that although some certainly can be quite painful.

On a better note I have made a list of movies dvds to be sent to me while i recover postnatally from easydvd so looking forward to watch lots of chick flicks that dh would hate any good recomendations for recent movies, have not been to cinema for ages and ages.

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 17:42

Evening

Sorry I don't have time to catch up. I went to the day assessment unit this afternoon and my waters have gone. They wanted to induce me there and then but there were no beds. I have to ring back in half an hour and see if there is a bed. No homebirth for me after all and no DH in attendance as he will be at home with DD. Not what I planned but I guess you have to roll with the punches.

BabyBunnyBolat · 15/04/2009 17:45

Carameli - haven't been to the cinema in ages but some good chick flicks...

  • The notebook is my all time favourite film
  • Boy in the striped pyjama's - not a good film if you are emotional - in fact neither are!
  • The Last Kiss
  • Changeling
  • Sweet Home Alabama
  • How to lose a guy in 10 days

Haven't seen it but - she's just not that in to you is a chick flick out, the secret life of bees, that shopaholic film with Isla fisher

I've just eaten a whole host of crakers and cheese and dinner is in an hour! oops!

BabyBunnyBolat · 15/04/2009 17:46

Oh puzzle (hugs), is there no one who can have DD so DH can be there - who are you going to go with? Is there anything we can do - on the plus side your LO will be here very soon!

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 17:46

Don't suppose anyone has a hospital bag list they could post easily enough. I have just packed one but since I wasn't expecting to, I am sure I have missed stuff.

Also does anyone know how long induced labours generally take? DD was about 8 hours from first twinge to delivery, but obviously I went into labour naturally with her.

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 17:48

BB - I will have my Mum and sister with me. DD would be fine with either of them through the day but if she wakes in the night she will only want DH or me and I need to know she is with her daddy so I can relax. Also she will only go to bed for DH or I and it looks like I will be going in before she goes down for the night.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 15/04/2009 17:54

BB - nope nothing yet, though i guess everything is ok or they would have called me asap???

OP posts:
Carameli · 15/04/2009 17:59

oops cross posted there. as long as you have the basics for moment and I alwys bring some chocolate for me afterwards.
I also forgot cotton wool the last two times and Kngston made me feel bad about them having to provide it.
Did not read this list through and there seems loads I don't have at all.
Also think most hospitals let you use a mbile now.

Good luck.

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 17:59

Thanks Carameli. That's a pretty comprehensive list .

Carameli · 15/04/2009 18:00

money for those tv bed things they have, I loved those.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 15/04/2009 18:00

Good Luck Puzzle, have they called you yet?

so sorry this wasnt how you planned but you wil have you gorgeous bambino with you shortly xxxx ((hugs)) >>

OP posts:
Carameli · 15/04/2009 18:02

no worries Puzzle, certainly is comprehensive. as I said I won't have quite a few things. I have put in my bag some Disney Princess comics and things for DD(5yrs) and Chuggington magazine for ds(2yrs) to give them something when they come to the hospital.

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 18:05

Funny you say that. I'm at Kingston and my Mum made a big hooha about packing lots of cotton wool. Wise old Mum.

PuzzleRocks · 15/04/2009 18:08

Nuts - My shepherds pie will be ready in 5. I'm going to eat then call.

Carameli · 15/04/2009 18:10

yes they made me feel as though I had forgotten something so basic(only a couple of midwives) and were so stingy. I ended up packing dh down to Asda to get a few bags

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 15/04/2009 18:15

Puzzle - good plan
