I did think I detected a very faint semen like smell and when I googled I found that the NCT website confirms that amniotic fluid can smell like this. Other times it doesn't really smell of anything.

Hello again. Well I have been having contractions now since last nitgh. I had a few really strong, breathtaking ones before bed - surely they can't still be braxton hicks? BUT they have all STOPPED!!!! It is frustrating as I was up half the night with it - waking up to tightenings/pain and generally very uncomfortable, but nothing today. DD got up at 7.30ish and I was so tired - i brought her into my bed with a bottle of milk and a DVD for 45mins . Felt much more awake after that though.

Think I must be mad - we are still going to chessington world of adventures this afternoon. About 1.5hours drive and I am driving. My mum will be with us though who is insured to drive my car if needed, althoguh she would prefer not to. I have a big ford galaxy 7 seater though so much more practical for day trips out - not squashing everything in. Going with my mum and sister who both have tiny fiestas.

I keep thinking I should put the new baby car seat in the car ready - but DH doesn't drive and I won't be driving myself to hospital so its a bit pointless?

Waters seemed to have stopped leaking - I am sure thats what they were though.

I think it was a good session on the wii fit that got me going last night! Hopefully walking round this afternoon might help too - or I will be back on the wii fit again tonight when DD goes to bed!

I found out yesterday that my one and only perminant mindee is going to be leavng me due to mum being made redundant. I am not really that worried as I on;y had her for a few hours a week so won't be a big loss in money and will save me doing school runs with both my 2 under 2s. I will still have her for a few weeks after baby is born though.

lauren - they say waters can smell sweet so biscuits probably makes sense. lol.

Bronze - very exciting. (It was my dad's birthday yesterday but nothing happened here)

Saw a photo of one of my NCT class babies yesterday - he is so utterly lovely, very beautifully filled out for a newborn with smooth face and little fat wrists. The baby came a day early, and was due 3 days before mine and I WANT I WANT I WANT! But... I really feel nothing.

Lauren - biscuits - my NCT teacher said "bready" so that sounds about right.

Congrats Juw!

Well by my nuchal scan I am 40 weeks today!!
When I go to see MW tomorrow I think I might ask her for a sweep? Not sure yet though. Have been having these stitch pains which I am sure is still just ligaments stretching but also had new pains in the night - kind of a period ache along pubic bone line. Bump dropped even lower, I have loads of space at the top now.

Have a busy day today. DS1's friend has just picked him up so going to have a tidy up and try and keep DS2 occupied until I pop to the shops and pick DS1 up and then my friend and her DC's are visiting this afternoon.

Please, please can I have this baby before the DS's go back to school on Monday??!!

Morning everyone! No baby yet...

Was up most of the night alternating between weeing and contractions, I managed to get some ZZZ's this morning after DH left for work so feel OK. They've slowed down a LOT since yesterday so I'm going to walk around the block a few times and bounce on the ball... hopefully that'll get things started again! Anyone have any super contraction-encouragement tips for me?

Forgot to say - MW yesterday thinks baby is at least 7 and a half to 8 lbs already! And bump has dropped and 2/5 engaged.

just got back from various appointments - Karahan has put on 1lb2oz in 5 days and is now 7lb 8oz!! and has perfect hearing!!! am shattered from the running around now!!!
