a few tidbits from the purplemonkey house...

feet have started to swell. BP is fine though. just really annoying. i hate the feeling of swollen feet! hands are ok so far. still wearing my rings.

rememeber that horrible feeding cover-up thing my cousing sent? i heard from my mom the other night. she snet a parcel with some baby stuff...and an effing HOOTER HIDER. colour my unimpressed. i didn't want ONE never mind TWO!!! (if anyone would like one, let me know!)

that's all for now. DH has a 4 day weekend so i won't be around much. but will try to check back for baby news!

I feel crap today. Am tired, bored, grumpy, none of my clothes fit me and I look like a big frump, can't be bothered to get off the bed, DH keeps bringing me little treats fresh juice and pleading with me to come for a little walk to feed the ducks but I just can't be bothered

That's just it, maternity clothes are all massive on my bum, hips, everywhere apart from belly and make me look even more frumpy! Have even put holes in the stretchy bit of maternity jeans from keep pulling them up! Have even bought a smaller size (of maternity clothes) than I usually am. Have tried the hairband thing but it keeps pinging off after a while! Have a couple of pairs of really comfy jogging bottoms (not maternity) which I just bought in a size bigger but they are both on the washing line - soon be dry!!

Rachel has usually posted by now hasn't she? I hope she is holding her baby now - or pushing it out!

Finally got the McDonalds I have been longing for! I know its really bad but I got DD a happy meal too, which she has nevr hd before - i have never seen her eat so much! She is still scoffing the fruit bag now but went through te fish fingers and chips. Bearing in mind she usually has a tiny sandwich for lunch and a bit of fruit. lol. I know its unhealthy but its a one off.

I am glad I am not the only one having trouble with the grant. They should be flexible if it is there fault. I am not bothered WHEN the money arrives, I just don't want to loose out completely.

soon2be - don't worry about the McDonalds and DD, it's okay as a treat, my DS's had one yesterday I am lucky though in that DS2 always wants fish fingers, carrot sticks and milk which isn't too bad DS1 on the other hand wants cheeseburger, fries, 7up and then is still hungry!

I'm the same about the money soon2be. I sent my form off ages ago though. I seemed to be one of the first on the thread to actually get it.

Springy - Aww, George is a good feeder. Excellent. And the first baby born on their due date. What a great weight too. DD was 8lb 8.5oz

WFH - I can't bear to be parted from DD at the moment either. And Boff's right about that study. I drank moderately while breastfeeding DD and she has had nothing more serious than 2 colds in two years, is very tall for her age, and is frighteningly intelligent. Not boasting, just facts to set your mind at rest.

Schulte / WFH - I'm like that too when tidying up. Even the cutlery and crockery wih DD's toy kitchen has to be arranged just so.

Yay for baby george - he will always be iccle George to me even if he wasn't so iccle! You did so well sweets - I think denial is the way forward as before you know it you're half way through without all the hoofing around at the hospital! Cant wait for the story - get home safe today and enjoy your little man!!!!

Biff sorry to say it but thank god she's going - I know it sucks now but in the big scheme of things it will save you so much stress - aside from the early horribleness the only time you have been really distressed is when she has messed up - even with all the spd issues!! Let us know if we can do anything re researching childcare etc- does your dd need some extra money for babysittingduties a couple of times a week to give you break? Did I miss ap shouting at felix???!!!!

Ok having a child has ruined my enjoyment of certain things - am sat here in the hairdressers with the latest trashy mags and all I can think about is karra and what if he needs a feed before I'm back- I know he can wait an hour without any trouble but am so scared he will get himself worked up!! Dh is with him and they'll be fine but I just want to get home!!!!

BB - It doesn't get any easier. I was in the hairdressers this morning too and I was aching to get back to DD who is 2. I missed her so much.

oh the hairdressing thing does get easier! mine are 9 and 5 and I love going to the hairdressers I do remember not liking it when they were little but it is bliss now!!
