chickaleggjac · 11/04/2009 01:01

surely she's had him or is pushing by now, she was quite far on when she arrived

chickaleggjac · 11/04/2009 01:01

ok goodnight x
I'll waddle off to my bed now too

chickaleggjac · 11/04/2009 06:49

Nope, nothing, well hope all is good

WhatFreshEggIsThis · 11/04/2009 08:17

No news yet? Come on Springy, we need info!

brettgirl2 · 11/04/2009 08:31

Just checking in for news on Rachel/lulu/springy.

BoffinMum · 11/04/2009 08:46

Come on ladies, we want NEWS! I can't belive how in denial Springy was after all that lead up.

Things are a bit frosty in the Boff household after the Big Row. BoffinDad has criticised BoffinMum's housekeeping, saying she is too fussy and that causes half our problems with APs. If fussy means clean pants in the drawer, removing dustballs from the bedrooms of those with rhinitis and feeding children meat and two veg at timely intervals, then I stand guilty as charged.

On Planet Boff criticising housekeeping is tantamount to a declaration of civil war. That man has been warned that he will now find himself reduced to bachelor status in terms of doing his own washing and cooking from now on. It was a blow too low.

BoffinDad will be eating very many omelettes from now on, methinks.

soon2befamilyof4 · 11/04/2009 08:51

Morning all

Thanks for that. What I really meant though is when is the deadline? Like does it need to be in before your due date? What if baby arrives before I get the form signed?

Have everything crossed for those in labour. Hopefully they will be on soon with baby news.

JuwEggsm · 11/04/2009 09:01

Morning all.

Soon2be - I think the only deadline on the HiP form was that you have to send it off within 30 days of MW signing and dating it. I imagine at the moment, as it's taken so long to get the forms out, they might be fairly flexible about them being received at the end of pg! I sent mine off on Weds, 6 days after by due date so fingers crossed!

Boff - Sorry you've had to declare war, but your tactics sound completely reasonable!

soon2befamilyof4 · 11/04/2009 09:09

Oh ok, that sounds good. Did you not gett he forms for ages? I just want to know how truthful my midwife is being, who said she only got them last week which is why I hadn't been able to apply. I thought she was just making excuses though TBH and she is rubbish. Then at the birthing centre, which is where I go now instead of seeing her - said that I can't get one from them, it has to be from the community midwife as it needs to have her MW number or something on it?

brettgirl2 · 11/04/2009 09:09

Apparently I've learnt this morning that behaving like a complete bitch is a sign of impending labour. I might be on then!

I am being really horrible to my DH and he is trying to be nice

JuwEggsm · 11/04/2009 09:17

As far as I could tell, my community MW team had only received the forms this week, it sounds like it's been a common problem. WRT payment though, see Trista's thread, and don't hold your breath for payment any time soon!

conkertree · 11/04/2009 09:29

ooh came on for an update on springy and the other labouring ladies - i see no full update yet but must be close. yay.

lol at the 'i love gas and air' - thats the bit i'm really looking forward to

bronze · 11/04/2009 09:42

this isnt fair... shes had us hanging on for weeks.... months even and now shes stringing it out a little more

JuwEggsm · 11/04/2009 10:14

Nice MW has just been round to do another sweep.

Still only 1cm dilated
Now 75% effaced, up from 50%
Baby quite high - less engaged than on Tues
AND she thinks he's now back to back! Sob!!!

Strict instructions to move around as much as possible and no sitting on the sofa, so I guess we'll be off out for another walk shortly.

Need some Springy news to perk me up.

Schulte · 11/04/2009 10:15

Morning,

soon2be you could be in trouble if you have the baby before you've sent the HiP form off. Depends on how flexible they will be to accommodate for the fact they messed up and didn't get the forms out in time in the first place!

Had yet another sleepless night... can't that wait until after LO has arrived? So annoying, just tossing and turning and going to the loo about a billion times. Had to fight with DH over who was getting up with DD at 6am but ha, I won!

Boff sorry to hear about row with DH, it certainly wasn't a good move to blame things on you. Hope you can sort it out together. x

Schulte · 11/04/2009 10:16

Oh Juw poor you get walking / climbing stairs / maybe swimming to try and move LO?

Carameli · 11/04/2009 10:23

no more babies yet then. I am popping in and out but only now get a chance to write something. Had a horrid day yesterday, really bad tummy upset, thought it might be sign of things starting so panicked that bag had not been packed yet. All stuff is ready just on a big box as so much else going on this week.

Carpenter finally finished yesterday, bless his heart he was here until after 6pm and did not charge us any extra for coming back on a bank holiday. Think I have found a great guy here.
Staircase bannisters look fab, so pleased with them, this is what the look like

my lovely new bannister

Found out yesterday that my sister had an engagement drinks party and invited my brother but not me and dh. I am so upset about this but don't want to blow it out of proportion as we get on great so I just don't understand why. I know she might have thought I was so close to due date would not want to come but surely that is my choice. Only found out through some photos of facebook, that place has a lot to answer for. I made a little point on facebook(not directly at her) and she saw it and emailed me so I have made my point I think. But dreading seeing them tomorrow and parents for Easter SUnday. arrrgggg. probably let her bring it up if she wants to, don't need extra stress.

Sorry to ramble, had to get this off my chest.

Schulte · 11/04/2009 10:26

Oh Carameli, that would make me upset too but surely she just thought you wouldn't want to come at this stage in pg?

Sooo Springy come on, where's your news? Are you too busy staring at George? Has your battery run out?

surprisenumber3 · 11/04/2009 10:28

good morning!

woke up at 4.45 am and had to quickly look on here (how addicted am I!). couldn't get back to sleep and was so thirsty.

Was hoping for news on Springy, Rachel and Lou, hope you're all okay and cradling your newborns

Months ago my best friend predicted my baby, a girl, would be born 12th April weighing 7 lb 5 oz...oh how I hope she is right!!

Sorry nothing is progressing for you Juw, did your scan dates match your due dates etc?

bronze · 11/04/2009 10:35

Oh Carameli I would be upset too.
My best friend (still good friends though grown apart now) of years didn't invite me to her wedding. It was a small wedding but she had a couple of other friends there. Her reason I had just had ds2 the week before but I still feel it would have been nice to have been asked even if I felt I couldn't have made it. I would have gone too but what was more upsetting was that dh had originally been asked to be best man. No one mentioned that afterwards but he wasn't invited either. It drove a wedge, I really hope everything is ok with your sister after this.

JuwEggsm · 11/04/2009 10:39

No Surprise - 10 days apart, but both dates now passed.

Hopefully the threat of induction will scare LO out. Will be sooooo annoyed if he's turned back-to-back at last minute after being LOA all the way through!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 11/04/2009 10:40

Morning

SPRINGY UPDATE!!!! George Nathan born at 5.01am. Ventouse & Episiotomy, but alls well. 4050g not sure what that is in lb. He's LOVELY. Excellent feeder too.

Springy had her baby!!!! springy had her baby!!!

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 11/04/2009 10:42

I have 9 days difference from 2 different scans done only 4 days apart!!

CONGRATS Springy, fantastic!! 4050 g sounds quite big to me!!

WhatFreshEggIsThis · 11/04/2009 10:43

Can't believe there still isn't any baby news!

Also can't believe what a mess I am - I'm sitting here crying because DP and SIL have taken DS1 to the zoo with SIL's kids, and I'm

a) worried something will happen to him, DP will lose him or he'll get eaten by the lion

b) upset that I can't go even though I really don't want to go and can't handle all the kids making loads of noise and trashing the house

c) anxious about whether DP has strapped them all into their car seats properly and whether SIL's eldest will be ok in the front on a booster cushion

Should really become less neurotic.

Need more sleep. Orbit Buttonhole is being really good but had a special birthday dinner last night so had a glass of champagne and a glass of wine (also anxious about that ) and then went to bed at midnight....so am very tired.

Carameli I would be upset too, even if they assumed you wouldn't want to go it would be nice to be asked, wouldn't it?

And BoffinMum, sounds like war has been declared......I'd be scared if I was BoffinDad!
