I AM SOOOOOOOOOO going to make them give me an induction date on tuesday!!!

OP posts:
soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 22:39

surprise - yes that sounds like them.

Rachel - I hope this is it for you. Try and get some rest - I know that is easier said than done.

Brettgirl - honestly don't worry. Baby moving can only be a good thing. Probably just a bit hyper from the chocolate!

DD is finally in bed. I sat with her till she fell asleep. Took about an hour I think. She cried and winged but was never distressed like she is when I go. At one point she kept laughing and the only thing I could do was walk off to make her realise it wasn't a game. But I litterally went for 1 min and came back and laid her down and it seemed to work. I wish I had started this at the start of hubbys set of shifts. Its his last shift today so will be off for 4 days and then on earlies so he will be here at bed time until after my due date. Its a shame as I am stronger on my own. He is very impatiet and it is him that usually wants to bring her down to watch TV as its the easy option.

Still haven't even eaten dinner as I have been sorting her out! Hardly ate lunch either so am starving now! Hubby finishes work at 11pm though so will get him to grab something on the way in. I never got my McDs that I really wanted yesterday so might get that! hmmmm

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 22:39

did you go over with your DD nutty?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 22:42

Suprise - yep 2 weeks, went into labour at 12 midnight i was due to go in for induction 9am that morning so didnt need it and she was born in the afternoon

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 22:44

bet you were relieved! I had DS2 the day before I was due to be induced, had given up hope and was all ready to be induced and then whoooshhh.....a tidal wave when I turned over in bed

BoffinMum · 10/04/2009 22:44

How exciting about Springy!

Soon2be, sounds quite promising. I am sure you can carry on being strong.

Off to bed myself now despite all the birth drama as very overtired and still hormonal.

Night night xx

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 22:45

soon2be - glad she is asleep, have that McDonalds and enjoy!

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 22:46

night Boff, I am not looking forward to the hormal thing setting in. After having my other two I had to be on my own with them at the hour they were born at every night for a week and I just held them and cried and got mad if anyone else came in the room!

bronze · 10/04/2009 22:46

Soon2be

you sound like me with ds1

when he was 19mths and I was over 8 months pg with ds2 I broke and did a very simplified version on controlled crying. My version and not harsh (left for 4 mins max and spent hours going back in). I too had to wait for DH to go away though. It wasn't just the easy options with him but also when he did want to be asleep he would complain (hes grown up a bit since)

Stick with it though as its all wasted if you give in. Consistency is the key whichever way you do it.
