SpringySponge: I know what you mean about the big painful ones and then having sort-of "half-contractions". Weird, huh? I'll be thinking I'm getting a big one and then it doesn't fully develop - though still painful all the same.

Getting more frequent & painful contractions now - ouch! Just hoping it's not another false alarm and that something will be happening soon! Nope sure I can cope with things much longer - feeling physically & emotionally drained - and almost feeling weak/lightheaded at the immediate moment.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 20:40

Rachel - oooooohhhhh you as well Good luck!!! how far apart??

brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 20:40

That's good news rachel, things are moving.

My turn to worry now - my LO has been going mad for the last couple of hours. It's normal for her to be active but this is quite extreme I think. Anyone?

BoffinMum · 10/04/2009 20:41

WFH that is a fab name indeed, but I do feel an Orbit has been lost to the world somehow. Maybe I should change my Felix's name to Orbit?

I have made some small progress on the childcare trauma front. I have emailed two mums locally who have nannies and asked them to talk to the girls they know to see if anyone has odd hours to spare. This could be pretty good as it would be a toe in the water of childcare with tried and tested people who would not shout at Felix or lose the others. (I have to rebuild faith somehow).

I have also agreed to interview someone Tinies have recommended, just in case she is any good.

Maybe all this is for the best and we will end up with a nice kind person who makes our lives easier for once.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 20:44

Boffin - ooohh that sounds like good progress xx fingers crossed for you and hopefully this will work out better and less stressful for you xx

Brettgirl - my bump goes mental from time to time (can be up to an hour of seemingly crazed thrashing!!)

OP posts:
thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/04/2009 20:48

nutty: haven't started timing them yet - I'll know when it's the real thing! And besides, the midwife first on call lives around the corner from me (in a small town), so thankfully she can come very quickly when I need her! Having called them out Thursday morning and then evetything stopped, I'm going to wait till baby is about to pop out! lol

brettgirl2: I can sympathise with you about LO going mad! My 2 toddlers (ages 2 & 3) were just totally nuts after dinner tonight. Son with eczema scracthing like mad, daughter crying for no good reason etc. Just not themselves! Fortunately my 2yo little boy is asleep & tucked up in bed, but his 3yo sister keeps wandering about & out of bed! Hope she falls asleep soon, as she's very overtired already!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/04/2009 20:50

brettgirl2: ooops, you were talking about bump, not little ones out of womb! think my brain is going mushy!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 20:51

Rachel - ah ok good that she's so near i take it you're HBing

OP posts:
NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 20:53

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 20:55

woo hoo

Schulte · 10/04/2009 20:56

Evening

Congrats on Felix no. 2 - very good choice of name.

Boff sorry to hear about your AP, glad you're making progress though with finding a solution and hopefully she'll stay on until you feel you've recovered enough from birth and SPD? What a silly cow.

Brettgirl, no idea, my LO is always very quiet. Have you eaten anything very sugary? Might it be that?

Rachel & Springy, go girls! All fingers crossed here.

Schulte · 10/04/2009 20:57

Feck! The cats outside have already started howling at the moon. Ah how I HATE them! I won't sleep a wink tonight!

SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 20:59

She's not phoned me back, but I think we're just going to go in. Apart from anything else, if it gets any worse I won't be able to sit in the taxi. I'm going to be struggling as it is, I think.

Whether or not it's real it bloody hurts!

Will keep in touch xx

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 20:59

well the full moon seems to be doing it's job at least..........

feel a bit gutted that its not sending me into an early labour though >

brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 21:01

I suppose it could be all the chocolate not helping . She seems to have hopefully quietened down a bit now - I think I'll lie on my side for a bit.

That sounds like a plan springy - good luck x

bronze · 10/04/2009 21:03

Oh good Springy. Good luck

Can go and eat dinne rnow. Back later for an update

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 21:04

go springy, go springy, go springy, go!! Would get up and fetch pom poms but have terrible heartburn after eating too much!

Go Rachel too..............yay how exciting!!

Soon2be - yep I have little tiny red dots which look like blood dots on my belly - is that like yours?

It was Lou being induced today at 3 - hope she's okay!

PuzzleRocks · 10/04/2009 21:04

Boff - That's sounds quite positive. I really hope you resolve things without too much of a headache.

brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 21:05

It's just occurred to me actually that I've been eating plain chocolate too - that's really high in caffiene too isn't it. Whoops!

BoffinMum · 10/04/2009 21:06

Springy seems to be on the way then ....
