brettgirl, if this is the real thing then I'll be giving birth on my due date - & my life just doesn't work out that tidily

& Nutty, I'm very impressed

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:10

OP posts:
NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:11

OP posts:
brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 19:12

I'm sure you do nutty - you've had a significantly shittier time of it than me too. I'm just in a foul mood tonight I think.

Springy - well if you pop on your due date maybe I'll do the same [ultra hopeful character]

bronze · 10/04/2009 19:12

oh I texted mumble btw. Shes fine just doesnt have internet connection. She hopes to be back on soon

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:13

ahhhh, just realised your due the day after Springy, Brettgirl

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 19:14

I think they're too frequent to be anything real - about every 4.5 minutes... I expect that if they were real & that frequent that I'd be becoming fairly hysterical by now?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:14

Bonze - cool thanks for letting us know

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 19:15

I was wondering about MM as well. & has Ju been on today?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:16

Spingy - BB wasnt hysterical!!! in fact she was very calmly bored!!! they are close!!

OP posts:
bronze · 10/04/2009 19:16

erm springy--- earlier they were about every 12 minutes now theyre about 4.5 mins......
and no not necessarily hysterical

SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 19:17

Yeah, but BB was ripping out a bathroom with leaky waters - she's clearly not quite right

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:18

the closer they are the more real they are btw.........

nope Juws not been on today

bronze · 10/04/2009 19:18

Nutty do you get this urge to cloober Springy

BoffinMum · 10/04/2009 19:19

I am worried that anyone else would end up losing my children or getting them hurt or shaking little Felix and shouting at him meanly when I am not there like something off a hidden camera expose show or burning the house down or disappearing off at short notice.

She has offered to stay until we find someone else but I don't want anyone else.

But I am not supposed to do very much at all for 6 weeks to let my pelvis recover (it hurt a but again yesterday because I had been out to the chiro and this was tiring).

And it has taken me 10 years to train as an academic and get a proper job, and if I give up now all that will have been for nothing and I will still have all the debts.

Sorry Springy I am taking away from the drama of your labour and your big moment somewhat. xx

bronze · 10/04/2009 19:19

*or clobber

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:19

LOL no thats true can you keep timing them and if they go down to 3 mins can you go to hosp please

OP posts:
brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 19:19

I think you're in labour springy. For real this time.

BoffinMum · 10/04/2009 19:22

PS Springy I am not hysterical in labour either. I only mooed for 5 minutes at the end this time. I am never sure what is going on and the contractions sometimes only get to 3 minutes apart max.

SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 19:22

Boff, I'm not in labour! I'm really not. Everyone's just getting excited about my stupid body again.

I don't have anything useful to advise WRT the AP situation - but you totally have my sympathy & I can't imagine how much of a pain in the bum it must be right now. Terrible timing. xx

SpringySponge · 10/04/2009 19:23

The contractions I've timed so far:

7:19:59 PM 7:21:11 PM 1:11 4 m, 16 s
7:15:43 PM 7:16:20 PM 0:36 3 m, 51 s
7:11:52 PM 7:13:12 PM 1:18 4 m, 21 s
7:07:31 PM 7:08:08 PM 0:36 4 m, 34 s
7:02:57 PM 7:04:32 PM 1:14 ----

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:23

Boffin - ((hugs)) keep her on for another week or so till you get a bit of strength back and possibly think about it all again xxi dont know what to say, i do understand your concerns though, i would be the same i think xx

OP posts:
brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 19:24

There is no need to give it up though is there? What about a compromise, maybe going part time so you get to keep your hand in while having time to feel more in control at home too?

Could you get the AP to stay for 6 weeks until you are back on your feet?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 10/04/2009 19:25

Springy - could you possibly get checked just for curiosity of if your cervix has dilated at all??? your cervix would like that it would get compliments and everything i bet!!!
