I see you posted on the penguin thread. I am curious to see how that one turns out.

Bleuravin · 10/04/2009 14:06

just saying hi again ladies.
meggy was weighed today and has only lost about 6 oz...so only about 5% of weight which is of course quite good mommy is happy because of that and the fact that we've had 24hrs of good feeds...only a few false starts but a lot of perseverance as mommy and meggy learn to work together

feet have swelled though rather unexpectantly but otherwise I'm slowing getting to enjoy post pregnancy despite little sleep

brettgirl2 · 10/04/2009 14:09

Hi all - disappointing lack of babies then .

Maybe we are going to all give birth on the same day and drive the whole NHS to collapse

PuzzleRocks · 10/04/2009 14:09

That's really great Bleu, i'm so pleased for you both. Please do mention your feet to your health visitor though.

PuzzleRocks · 10/04/2009 14:14

I am so tired today that I feel jetlagged. Poor DH has four days off and I suspect the whole time will be spent running around after DD and I.
Grandpa has just delivered an easter egg for DD. She's only 2 though so that will be one or two small bites for her and the rest for mummy.

AuldAlliance · 10/04/2009 14:29

Hello all,
No full moon effect here either.
Currently trying to get hold of MW as am meant to book an appointment for 2 days before due date, for examination, scan to check amniotic fluid levels and.... acupuncture. That's what it says on my sheet! I am 100% sure this is not standard practice in France, land of hyper-medicalisation.
Rush post, am off to buy one or two items to make blueberry cake.

bronze · 10/04/2009 15:00

I like hemp oil best but olive oil does work. Both my boys were very dry at birth (big and late) and its what we were told to use. In fact I've packed a tiny bottle of hemp oil as I like it as a moisturiser for me too.

Grr at DH. He took wed and thurs off work so he could spend time with the kids and helping me. Over 50% of his time (when not sleeping) has been playing with his toys (he calls it a hobby) and hes just phoned having been out from the early hours saying don't count on me being home for dinner.

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 15:07

Hiya, sorry had to disappear for a bit there.

BB - I'm just waiting to hear from estate agents about setting up a viewing on a lovely 3 bed flat. Fingers crossed!

Is anyone else totally lurking on penguin thread? It's brilliant!

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 15:11

OMG a ghost just came into my house and shoved 3 packs of these into my mouth.
The dirty bastard

bronze · 10/04/2009 15:12

don't ghosts go through things?

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 15:13

It was a very clever one

conkertree · 10/04/2009 15:27

hi folks. for your lovely new sparly ring kitty - and the lovely evening. dh gets top marks for being romantic.

feeling pretty today - not really sure why. probably hormones. all my family are at my parents this weekend for easter but cause of late pg, we decided not to go (3 1/2 hours away) but think i am feeling a little down about that. would be worth it though if the baby made an appearance this weekend (fat chance).

anyway - hope the viewing goes well trista - from yesterday's description it sounded perfect.

minush · 10/04/2009 15:28

Hi everyone, Still no babies? I reckon there'll be a mass exodus on Easter Sunday?

Kali, ahhhhhhhhhhh at your DH, particularly liked the down on bended knee in muddy puddle part but a bit as my DH just doesn't 'get' presents;

Soon, hope you're feeling better today. Looks like you got some sound advice about the sleep.

Bronze, sorry your DH is being a pain, they can be so gittish sometimes. Does he know how you feel about his behaviour? Maybe he doesn't realise what a plonker he's being.

This'll be the third time I've tried to post a msg. I'm having connection issues today!

conkertree · 10/04/2009 15:28

wish there was a ghost in this house with creme eggs

minush · 10/04/2009 15:33

Conkertree, I too am a little today, am putting it down to hormones and - and fear of giving birth in a hospital I hate, with doctors and nurses I can't fully understand and with a DH who I suspect may flake out on me (he has said as much) and keeps on saying he wants me to have a cesarean (bangry]. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Think I'm going to bounce angrily on my gym ball and then devour ALL the chocolate in the house.

minush · 10/04/2009 15:34

I want a cadbury's caramel ghost

minush · 10/04/2009 15:35

Or maybe just a general Cadbury's ghost????
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 15:36

Hell yeah bring on the chocolate ghosts!!

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 15:49

COME ON BABIES!!!!!!!!

sorry about that little outburst

conkertree · 10/04/2009 15:51

ooh a caramel now that would be nice - but i think you are right a general Cadburys ghost would be the best idea.

Wonder if you can advertise somewhere for one?

conkertree · 10/04/2009 15:52

i echo your call surprise. at least if somebody was having one, it would feel like a productive thread.

chickaleggjac · 10/04/2009 15:54

The only thing I'm having right now is a junk food binge
Wish my baby would just come out though. But I'm not actually due yet so I'm not going to get too impatient just yet.

surprisenumber3 · 10/04/2009 15:55

I know. I just ventured out, had some lunch out and then was going to shop. Couldn't be bothered with shopping so just came home but can't imagine another 2.5 weeks like this!!

Saw a really pregnant woman who could hardly walk. Said to DH 'gosh she's about to pop isn't she'. DH pointed out she couldn't actually be that far ahead than me!

minush · 10/04/2009 15:56

ebay? In these recessionary times, even ghosts must be desperate for work

PuzzleRocks · 10/04/2009 15:57

I have sent DH out for cheesecake. Yum
