I love coming onto the thread and seeing the big fat list of safely arrived babies that is building up!
Rachel - sounds like something is happening anyway...

I think I may have a friend who is avoiding me. She has had a rubbish time over the past few months - a serious break up and a serious bereavement. I am not sure who, if anyone, is looking after her really and I am getting strong vibes that she doesn't want to be around me - whether I have done something, or am just the wrong person, or the whole new-baby-coming vibe isn't sitting well with her, I don't know.

I wish I could think of the right thing to say to her and the right way to say it - I don't want to be all up in her face if she doesn't want me around, but I wish I knew she had someone to talk to.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 09/04/2009 12:33

Thanks for the reassurance... it's so strange to see your normally-so-big-and-strong husband reduced to suck a wreck! The poor man was terrified!! Ah well, all the reading will do him good and I'll let you know if tonight is a sparkly night or not... Shall I wear my furry bolero just in case???

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 12:39

Kitty - Definately sounds like a bol;ero moment!!

Ginger - maybe she just needs some time on her own to sort out her head, all you can do is let her know that your ther if she needs you, she will come to you

It's very quiet

there had better be some babies today!!!

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 13:19

has springy been on today?

I went off to make lunch and clear up but just ended up making lunch, cleaning kitchen and putting some washing in. Gave the DS's a big bowl of fruit salad and came back here

bronze · 09/04/2009 13:23

I'm around. DDs got a really high temp and I've only just managed to put her down as shes asleep

surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 13:25

ah does she have anything else bronze? poorly ears or throat? I hate high temps, hope she feels better soon x

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 09/04/2009 13:28

None here yet, Nutty... although my tummy has just had a lovely clear-out...
I'm off to reflexology in a bit - should be super-relaxing!

bronze · 09/04/2009 13:35

I think its her ears or teeth, or one caused by the other. Shes very clingy though so no labouring allowed here, full moon or not.

surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 13:38

no labour for Bronze until DD better

I have been told by my niece I'm not allowed to have mine on 19th as it's her birthday and she doesn't want to share it!! My lovely nan died 25 years ago today so would have loved her to be born today but not a single sign yet so no hope there!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 13:46

Bronze - hope she feels better soon poor thing xx

Suprise - no springy's not been on yet, shes had to nip to the hospital for some test results.

Kitty - enjoy the reflex

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 14:04

oh hope she's ok and back on here later - unless she's having her baby and then she'll be let off

JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 14:04

Always goes quiet at lunchtime - everyone off scoffing?

surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 14:11

has everyone been to see where they are going to give birth? The lovely maternity hospital where I had my other two has been knocked down and moved to the hospital where I worked for years. When I mentioned to the MW about seeing the unit she said there was no need really as you go into one room with it's own bathroom and stay there til you leave. So I haven't bothered. But seeing as I haven't been to hospital at all yet, I am thinking maybe I should at least know where I'm going!! I mean, I do know where the unit is, but nothing once I go through those doors!

mathshoneybunny27 · 09/04/2009 14:12

hi ladies..just a quickie before i hop off to have a massage

wonder if they can press a special button that makes my waters break?!

surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 14:14

ooh am jealous and you and Kitty with your lovely pampering

The button to make your waters break might be slightly out of their reach

Have a lovely time.

mathshoneybunny27 · 09/04/2009 14:18

don't be surprise..I only booked it this morning because I finally reached the end of my tether. DH had been snoring since 5am and some friends 'popped over' at 9.15am (it is just me who would never do this??!!) and woke me up. As they went DH made some flippant comment and I just sobbed comically..'I want to have the baby...I don't want to have the baby...' !!!

So emergency massage was called for I think

surprisenumber3 · 09/04/2009 14:20

aah bless I wouldn't be happy at all if friends turned up at that time without prior notice!

I had a beautiful bump massage in February and it was awesome, I couldn't stay awake and even let out a little snore at one point!!

Enjoy!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 14:20

MM - have a lovely massage! if they find it let us know!!!!

Juw @ shrine to moon goddess

Suprise - no as its the same as last time for me, i will be paying for a private room if i have to stay in though (i will be pusshing to go home asap of course ), i am not going on to the ward for love nor money!!!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 14:22

MM - 9.15am!!!!

Schulte · 09/04/2009 14:46

Hello ladies

Just back from the MW. She commented on how low my baby is sitting ('can hardly feel the head') and how when things get going here, they'll 'get going properly'. Sounded a bit scary tbh! When I asked whether she meant I was going to have a quicker labour this time round she said 'You'll definitely do well'. Was like talking to the Delphic Oracle!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 14:55

Schulte - fantastic to have a mystic MW !!

OP posts:
Schulte · 09/04/2009 14:56

Sorry to hear dd is poorly again Bronze. Hope she'll get better quickly so you can enjoy Easter!

BabyBunnyBolat · 09/04/2009 15:09

Afternoon all

we have been off registering Karahan this morning so he is all officially real!

Kitty bless your DH, I think to be honest it was more scary for DH than me as he just didn't know what to do and he couldn't take the pain away - although mind you nor could all the drugs in the world! (I was also quite short with him a fair few times!). The most I remember about the labour when I was pushing was the mw saying keep going and DH shouting "stop it, stop it" when I was going purple with the strain! He also hid behind me when Karahan first came out!

Schultes that sounds good - anything to get that part over asap!!!

MM 09.15 - I would have refused to let them in!!! Why would they do that - hope you have a lovely massage!!!

chickaleggjac · 09/04/2009 15:09

Hello, I'm here and my baby is still on the inside, laughing, hanging onto the inside of my uterus like this
