JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 08:28

Hmmm, where'd that = come from?

LaurenTheFertilisedEasterEgg61 · 09/04/2009 08:33

morning jew lol at phantom pregnancy, think we all starting to feel like that! im too impatient for this pregnancy stuff!!

we chose really early on too puzzle, hes going to be Oliver Stephen, stephen is after DP's grandad who died a year ago, they were like best friends, DP says his grandad sent LO for us

we'd chosen a girl name too which ive massively changed my mind about now so good job hes a boy!!

brettgirl2 · 09/04/2009 08:34

Yay for full term!

On the subject of this 'full term' thing though - I think that being full term at 37 does kind of increase the expectation of going into labour early. In reality I only actually personally know 1 person who has gone to full term and natural labour before 39 weeks. I think that most people actually go past due date. I think what I'm saying Lauren is that you need to try and stop expecting to give birth early and start expecting that you have until a week on Saturday before it's likely to happen.

TBH I've had quite a few significant 'labour' symptoms (odd contractions, back ache, worse engagement pain, abdominal pain, feeling odd) since about Sunday. I really am trying not to take too much notice though because I don't think it really has much bearing on when you go into labour IFYSWIM?

I spent the day yesterday with MIL - I was partly correct that my dh hadn't discussed visitation rights with her. BUT he had discussed it with his dad (who had discussed it with his mum) so at least it is all sorted. That is good news!

brettgirl2 · 09/04/2009 08:36

Juwes - you will probably be one of those peeps who just suddenly goes into labour?

Didn't they move you forward 10 days at a scan anyway? How on earth did that happen?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 09/04/2009 08:36

morning everyone!

Juw - can't wait to read about your road side birth in the papers!!

childcare - we have MIL on 'standby' (except that she goes to the borders to see her mom on thrusday and goes to glasgow to run 3 times a week and works on a tuesday, and never hears her mobile when it rings...) and i have a couple close friends who would take him if need be. that reminds me, i should pack a bag for him...

Lauren - i think what you're feeling is normal. it's so close to the end and you start to wonder if it ever will! just try to enjoy you last few child-free weeks. EVERYTHING is going to change soon and you won't be able to just up and do anything or go anywhere without packing a bag and planning for feeds etc. do something nice for yourself!

PuzzleRocks · 09/04/2009 08:46

That's lovely Lauren.

LaurenTheFertilisedEasterEgg61 · 09/04/2009 08:46

morniiiing i know i read its only a tiny percentage born before due date, especially with 1st time babies apparently?
does anyone know from experience if it follows from whether your own mum went over? or even DPs mum? or is it just totally down to you and different for everyone? Because both my mum and his went well over lol

On portland babies they can choose to be induced and just book a date to have their baby, wouldnt do that even if i had choice! This womans just booked in so she can fit in childbirth around everything else!!

PuzzleRocks · 09/04/2009 08:53

No idea, sorry.

brettgirl2 · 09/04/2009 09:03

Well, my mum was induced both times with me and my brother at 39 weeks due to high BP.

My MIL was day before due date with one and induced a week late with second.

BTW - My LO is probably going to be Emma Grace (shhhhh) Not a promise though, mahy well change minds several times

LaurenTheFertilisedEasterEgg61 · 09/04/2009 09:11

LOVE Emma Grace hope it suits as its a beautiful name

LaurenTheFertilisedEasterEgg61 · 09/04/2009 09:15

PuzzleRocks · 09/04/2009 09:15

PuzzleRocks · 09/04/2009 09:16

Is it just me or is there loads of blue space before your name Lauren?

brettgirl2 · 09/04/2009 09:17

Is it too early in the morning to start eating easter egg?

I think as my due date is easter sunday, that allows me to guzzle them three days before

LaurenTheFertilisedEasterEgg61 · 09/04/2009 09:21

yeh the bloke and mystery jane where another MNer gonna go and take pics lol!

blue space?? cant see it on mine, i dont know puzzle

PuzzleRocks · 09/04/2009 09:23

Yes that's a good one. What a creep. I would definitely have some fun at his expense.

Brettgirl - Can you see a load of blue space before Lauren's name?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 09:36

purplemonkeydishwasher · 09/04/2009 09:36

i noticed that as well Puzzle. On others threads as well, so it's not just you Lauren!

JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 09:36

No blue space here!

I am kind of hoping that the complete lack of any labour signs means I will do a bit of a Boff-style 0-60 in 6 seconds labour!

I really want some easter egg now. Just a plain Cadbury's egg, the ones with the chicken embossed in the chocolate. (when I was little, I used to get really sad about eating that chicken and tried to nibble round them!).

I'm thinking that a drive towards Devon on the 303 is my best bet for getting hideously stuck in traffic at Easter weekend! Maybe I could arrange it so that we break down near Stonehenge, and then do some freebirthing in the circle! Moo like a druid!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 09/04/2009 09:37

puzzle if we have a girl her middle name will be Elizabeth as well!

JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 09:37

Morning Nutty! Happy 37 weeks!

JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 09:38

Another possible 2nd name Elizabeth here! It's a classic though, doesn't matter how popular it is, it still sounds timeless. Must be the royal connection!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 09/04/2009 09:39

hey Juw - was it you who said that Isla was on your list? lol we could have 2 Isla Elizabeths!!

JuwEggsm · 09/04/2009 09:42

Love Isla, Purple! Wondered about Islay, like the island, but it would never be spelled or pronounced correctly! No personal connection with it, or anything like that, though my DF is a big fan of Laphroaig whisky.

(Whiskey? With an e? Is it an e for Irish and no e for Scotch? They both look wrong now !)

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 09/04/2009 09:43

Lol Juw only you would want to birth at a 'henge
