lol juw - i suppose it does a bit. Was getting so sick of normal tea before rlt though that i think the change is nice.

So nervous about someone coming to see the house - wish dh was home to do it. We are not in a great rush to sell so it doesnt really matter, but just means i will sit and worry about it for the next 5 hours.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 14:55

Conker - i'm sure the viewing will go fine always odd having to show "strange" people round your home though xx

OP posts:
conkertree · 07/04/2009 14:56

yup nutty - its like others are saying - dont really feel like seeing friends just now, so strangers are worse, but hey - if they dont like it, they dont like it and thats that.

If they do - will have to find somewhere to live

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 14:57

Hello!

Finally have internet access again. Oooooh lots of lovely babies have been born. Many many congrats to all the new mums.

Have not even begun to catch up on all the chat but hope everyone is doing well?

All well here. Still oh-so-very-heavily pregnant (due tomorrow) and racing around trying to get house and stuff sorted before baby puts in an appearance. Still can't think of a boys name and having sleepless nights fretting....

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 15:02

Hey LuLu

glad everything is well?? how are you enjoying your newly refurbished house is it nice to be home? hope you have had some chances to relax a little

OP posts:
conkertree · 07/04/2009 15:03

well lulu - bathroom diy seems to be the established way to bring on labour on this thread, so if there is any work still to do there you might like to give it a shot. Alternatively if you have things to get done before baby arrives - avoid the bathroom at all costs

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:07

Relax? No, barely sat down (largely cos we didn't have any chairs until we made it to Ikea on Sunday!). Also lots of unpacking, washing, sorting etc. Soooo much still to do!

But loving being here. It is so exciting seeing it finished after a 1.5 years spent imagining how it could look. ANd it looks just how we wanted it to!!!

Still a few things to do. DH informed me this morning that worktop is arriving from Wales tomorrow. Can't believe he arranged for me to take delivery of something so important on my due date

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:08

Ooooh - who gave birth in the bathroom then?

Have just been on all fours sorting out he inside of the vanity unit actually....

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:09

And what flavour babies have WFH, Oddeyes and BB had?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 15:12

LuLu - BB & Boff both redecorated their bathrooms and went into labor

ooohhh good luck with the delivery tommorow hopefully it wont be a BOGOF!!!

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 15:12

WFH, your DP is rather witty with his leaking energy, especially considering his lack of it

Will you be doing anything nice for your birthday?

Ju, hopefully you'll see some progress in the next 24 hours xx

Nutty, stop stealing her Tuesday induction - I was going to ask for it! I know I said I'd let you have yours, but it's not fair to take someone else's!

Yay, LuLu's back! & we've not missed any baby action. Excellent. I hope you're not racing around too much...

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:15

Oooh - so Boff is in labour now or has had baby?

Forgive me - there is just sooo much to catch up on.

Our bathroom is pretty much done now and not a single twinge of a contraction.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 15:15

WFH, BB & Boff - Blue Babies
Oddeyes - Pink

OP posts:
NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 15:17

oh and Bleu had a girl too

Springy - ok you can hav e Juw's induction then

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 15:17

Boff had hers last night after a bit of a start/stop labour - her waters broke & then very little. We've not heard from her directly yet, though.

WFH, BB & Boff have blue babies (& BB has allowed 'Karahan' after all - he's gorgeous & actually does look like a Karahan; there are lots of pics on her profile!)

OddEyes, Bleu & Mrs Fossil had pink ones.

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 15:18

Thank you, Nutty. I think it's only right

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 15:19

No Problem Springy fair's fair

OP posts:
LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:26

Aaaah brilliant. Will seek out the pics.

(But just cos she allowed Karahan doesn't mean I am going to give in to Reginald!)

So excited for everyone.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 15:28

i just got a parcel in the post. it was this
i'm pretty sure my cousin sent it. she's a really generous person.

I don't want it.

it looks like an apron. i just think, 'what's the point?' i can use a muslin. and frankly i'm really not that bothered about nursing in public.

i guess when baby gets to the nosey stage it might come in handy. i'm being really ungrateful and horrible. (i'll be nice and thank her and tell her it's great.)

and my sister had one. i hate my sister. (i'm being unreasonable. i know i am. i'm hormonal and i think i've earned it!!!!)

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 15:33

LuLu, Karahan looks like a Karahan. I'm not sure how you'd have a baby that'd look like a Reginald

purple, that is really lovely of her to send it for you - but it's not really lovely in itself, IMO. Just thank her & put it in a drawer & don't think about it again until you can reasonably sell it on?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 15:36

thank you springy. i thought maybe it was just me and everyone else would think it's nice!

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 15:38

I'm sure some people would think that it was nice, but I'd never want one. Apart from anything else, it draws more attention to public breastfeeding - & considering that it's meant to be more discreet... I know that it keeps you covered up, but as you say you can just use a muslin or whatever.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 15:40

i think that's it in a nutshell. you are trying to cover up so you put on a big bright piece of fabric that looks like an apron. weird. typically north american as well.

LuLuBai · 07/04/2009 15:41

Purple - thank her and pack it away. May be useful if you are travelling to a country where breastfeeding is less approved of.

chickaleggjac · 07/04/2009 15:41

Hiya
Been out to focus, figured walking round a DIY shop might bring on labour it didn't though
Mum is doing the nesting on my behalf and is redecorating the living room
lulu - nice to have you back x
BB - I know you've had tons of advice already but I used to find that when my boobs were still in the early stages of figuring out how much milk to have ready, quite often one would become full and quite hard.
Like say I fed DS on right boob, left one would become rock hard as it was full, so I'd know to start with left one next time. Then after that it would be the right one that was hard, and so on...
It was actually quite a handy thing for remembering which boob he was due to feed on. Bit crazy if there were others in the room though and I'm touching up my boobs to see which one is hardest!
