sounds like your waters have gone

put a pad on and phone MW, they will want to know quantity, colour etc and they will take it from there.
Good luck!

bronze · 07/04/2009 11:08

my babies very very quiet. He will move if I prod but apart from that nothing.... I'm not expecting anything either and would like to book the 21st please

bronze · 07/04/2009 11:12

baby is

I'm tired

lauren61 · 07/04/2009 11:13

got a pad on and theres hardly anything coming out now, not even a trickle, will ring MW see what she says

brettgirl2 · 07/04/2009 11:14

It's OK bronze, too late in pg for grammatical accuracy. I didn't even notice

chickaleggjac · 07/04/2009 11:15

ok let us know...

brettgirl2 · 07/04/2009 11:15

I think baby's head can block the flow can't it? It isn't necessarily a torrent like on eastenders. I wish my waters would break.

chickaleggjac · 07/04/2009 11:16

Mine very quiet today too bronze, same, if I give a wee prod it'll shift, but very quiet. What's that all about?

brettgirl2 · 07/04/2009 11:18

Mine won't move when prodded. I think she's a stubborn little minx like her mummy. She decides when she is going to shuffle and kick!

Or have I not got the prodding right?

chickaleggjac · 07/04/2009 11:21

oops I've woken mine up now, it's having a wee dance around in there!

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 11:31

Well I got a grand total of 2 hours sleep last night. DD woke up as soon as I started to drift off to sleep and wouldn't settle so came into our bed but was just too wide awake! She eventually fells asleep after trying just about everything at 5.20am while watching her peppa pig DVD . So that was a relief and I ran downstairs to go for a wee (stairgate broke yesterday so couldn't even leave her for 1 min to go for a wee when she was awake!!!). And put a load of washing on. Was thinking that she would have a lie in and not get up till nowish but she bloody got up at 7.30am!!! ARGH! She is now asleep on the sofa and I am just goiing to hang washing up and do the minimum bits for the day.

lauren61 · 07/04/2009 11:32

text MW and she'll ring back soon hpoefully if not il ring a different one that wouild make sense with babys head blocking because hes reaallly low, practically hitting floor lol and had lots of hammering pain down there lately like hes head banging my bone lol x

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 11:38

YAY BOFFIN!!! congrats on little Felix!!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 11:43

Brettgirl - good luck!!

Lauren - oooohh > good luck!!!

Chicka & bretgirl Lol at your prodding and dancing babies

Just had MW come over (from the hospital no less) my normal MW is on a course so she's standing in for her.

Position is ROA and ceph (whatever that means) she said it she was head down so thats good heartbeat normal and BP too i have my consultant next week so we spoke about that annnnnnnddddddd if they offer me the induction i'm going to take it!! i'm so weak LOL (MW is 100% positive that they wont refuse me!! we shall see!!) so after next tuesday i may or may not have an induction date and i may or may not have my baby a bit sooner than the 30th.

i'm not getting my hopes up, i'm going to reamain neuteral till the offer gets put on the table but if it does that induction is MINE!! MINE I TELL YOU!!!

lauren my waters went and then had nothing else for the rest of the day then that evening it was like a constant flowing - they even really gushed again towards the end of the labour as well - there was so much and each time so different - babies head blocked a little tear in the waters of the first day and then the action of ripping up the floor tiles dislodged him!! Your MW can do an internal and check.

Puzzle - re afterpains, the only thing that hurts is weeing but think that was because I made the rookie error of NOT drinking to avoid toilet breaks rather than drinking so much that it hurts less! but am rectifying that - sunday and yesterday had a bit of pain sitting but other than that
am all ok. Bleeding seems to have calmed down a lot just like a normal period now

Nutty / Puzzle - Think you made a good call keeping people away - especially with children already as not only will you have to cope with a new baby but also a new family dynamic and if you have people cooing over the new baby all the time, that is not going to help that much!!

Ah schultes your DD is so cute - Nutty - what sort of holiday day is your DD having today?

Thanks you all for saying such nice things re coping - to be honest today is the first day I have started to feel on top of things - believe me - had you seen me and my house last night (there were tears and tantrums) and this morning, you wouldn't have said such things but think we are getting there now, have cleaned all downstairs (am not going to even attempt the second floor until the bathroom is finished as it's like groundhog day with all the dust and grime!, Karra is fed and down for a nap and I have just eaten a whole half pack of milk tray (have honey and turkish delight ones left if anyone wants???!!!) Am just about to pop the hoover away and then make some tea and do nothing for a couple of hours until my sister comes to visit. Although I do have to make a quick shopping list! Should really do all the registration and government forms but think I will leave that until tomorrow.

DH went to work today which was really sad this morning but actually has been nice to just fall in to a routine with Karra but he only has today and tomorrow and then is off until next Tuesday (yay!!!!) - will be so nice

Right off to make tea - who wants?

lauren61 · 07/04/2009 11:46

i have the sudden urge to rip up my bathroom flooring BB !! might go on the wii fit for a bit do some stepping hehe having tightenings but verrrry far apart now and hardly any pain.. i hate that i dont kno whats goin on with my body, i think im usually a bit of a control freak and now i have no control it scares me

bronze · 07/04/2009 11:50

The top of my bump keeps going tight but I can't work out if its just him moving. My bumps small and hes fairly big so theres not much room in there.

I've already done my bathroom this pregnancy so dont have the urge to do that so can't even use that as a yardstick. I don't think this is it though.

I can't remember what contractions felt like. I know with ds2 I was in denial for a long long time but I can't risk it this time so I think I'm becoming aware of every single little thing and of course none of them are actually relevent.

Lauren...bathroom floor, this must be it!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 11:52

BB - yay for the bleeding calming down for you and the pain! DD is having a garden day today she has her cat mask on and is playing with the cats and her baby doll (shes practiscing for when her sister comes she said) she was Very smiley when she heard the heartbeat bless her

i will gladly take those leftover chocs off your hands BB thank you

lauren61 · 07/04/2009 11:53

bronze im exactly same as you, it feels tight but might jus be ollie sticking his bum out, arrrgh i dont knoww, i got a little bumps and all baby too, bump is still on 34cm at 38 week,

BB you sound massively organised and on top of things, i am jealous - il be a wreck, and baby photos are gorgeous!! tantrums are normal after birth while ur hormones are going back to the way they were a wholeeee 9month ago,

goosssh guys am so excited but terrified at same time!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 11:56

BB - please don't forget to rest. the house will still be there. it's not something you'll realize right away, but later on you'll know that you should have just sat down for a bit. birthin' babies takes a lot out of you!

bronze · 07/04/2009 11:58

I'm just worried as Ive let the house slip again. Maybe its just a way of scaring me into running around and getting it sorted.
I think its baby...I've decided

phdlife · 07/04/2009 11:59

Hello you lot

lauren, bronze - my dsis (MW) said it's BH if the whole bump goes tight (you can feel where bump leaves off and the real you begins).

I was over at her place for dinner the other night, winced at dc poking its bum out, she felt, said, "you silly, that's a contraction". Later she said she could spot I was having one from across the room, by the shape of the bump!

Have been having them all day today, otherwise nada. Can't get too excited though, this could go on for days before the real action starts (sigh)!

bronze · 07/04/2009 12:04

I'm not excited I want the kids back to school before anything happens
I haven't got the ache in my bits that I always get too so I know I'm a long way off.
I will tidy the house though because I've realised I need to get back on top of it

bronze · 07/04/2009 12:09

How many times a day does the RLT need to be drunk? I had the tablets but have finished them and can't get any more for now but have some teabags. I seem to remember the tea tasted rough.

phdlife · 07/04/2009 12:12

well when you've done yours...

am seriously contemplating watching exceedingly bad romcom on tv, doing my toenails (which are so hard to reach it will probably take half the night) and eating whatever chocs I can find...
