soon - if you can do it without feeling too sick, try lying on your side and rub your bump, that makes my LO move to a more comfortable position. And regarding the lying on your back, it apparently presses on a main artery and can make BP drop and make you feel faint so my MW advises against it and always says to lie on left side if you can.

lol nutty, my DH doesn't either. He keeps tracking it and telling me where it is now!

soon2befamilyof4 · 06/04/2009 23:51

. I don't want it to be normal! I want it to be labour!!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 23:52

i hope Boff & MM is pushing or giving birth as we speak!! they have been going for a fair time bless.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 23:55

Suprise - i would be the same without MN now though tbh

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 23:58

me too

right, I need to go to sleep.

Fingers crossed it's something soon, this waiting is boring isn't it!

Good luck to Boff and MM and any others in the running for tonight!

Sleep well everyone else!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 00:03

Night Night Suprise xx

and yup waiting sucks

Soon2Be - labour will come soon, honest try and relax and focus a day at a time though as you will be driving yourself mental and putting yourself on a bit of a rollercoaster especially if the scan dates do end up being right ((hugs)) we all want pregnancy to be over but we cant make it come unfortunately

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 00:04

My tummy keeps going hard - but only for about 10 secs at a time?

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 00:05

Goodnight suprise

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 00:06

keep an eye on the hardness/ timings and see how it goes over the next hour or so maybe??

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 00:10

Is there any reason I shouldn't take the paracetamol/codine tablets? I had them a while ago for my awful toothache (which also seems to be coming back) and I take it some days when my back is really bad so I can get some sleep.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 00:17

No they should be fine (i have been taking them pretty much all the way through as well as morphine)

if you're being sick though you might bring them back up so they may not be very effective,i would wait till the nausea has passed.

JuwEggsm · 07/04/2009 01:52

Whose stupid idea was it to have a big nap in the middle of the day??? Am now far too wide awake to sleep.

Congratulations MrsFossil! Beautiful name (on my list!!)

JuwEggsm · 07/04/2009 02:22
conkertree · 07/04/2009 06:42

lol juw - did your mouth just fall on the biscuits? I hate it when that happens .

ds slept through from 8 to 6 last night - was amazing. I woke a few times but didnt have to get up - was bliss.

Had a dream about BB and little Karahan and our commune. Cant really remember much about it but there was a ferry to Mull involved too.

Congratulations Mrs Fossil - lovely name too. Well done on the vbac. Hope little Isla is letting you get some sleep.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 07:21

morning everyone!

was woken up at 5:30 when DS peed the bed (just a little and it's the first time since we took him out of diapers over a week ago so not too bad) good news is that my mattress protector works!

DH left for work at 6 and i tried to get back to sleep but DS was having none of it. he's now happily singing to himself in the shower.

congrats MrsFossil!!! LOVE the name (i think we're going to have duplicate names in this group!! )

rachel - another american? oh dear. this group is going to hell in a handbasket! I'm in the central belt. and, like you, not scottish. canadian. how long have you been here?

conker - YAY for DS sleeping through!!

conkertree · 07/04/2009 07:30

did you say a while ago that you co-sleep purplemonkey?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 07:33

yup. DS starts out in his own bed then comes in with us sometime between 10 and midnight.
we bought a superking when we found out about this little one!!

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 07:37

good morning all.. no baby for me yet

In fact normality has all but returned, disappointingly. Obviously LO just not cooked yet..
but boy am I looking forward to my sweep tomorrow [ouch face emoticon]

Nutty you are so restrained - my DH would have received a kick in the nether regions

Juwes I love the idea of you accidentally eating the biscuits.. but I am jealous as my stomach just won't let anything through atm. What's the point in being overdue if you can't scoff your way through your last few days???!!

conkertree · 07/04/2009 07:38

ds was doing that with us for quite a while for some sanity cause his sleep was pretty bad with itchings, but recently he has been sooo restless about 2am that none of us get any sleep so we have tried him back in his own bed and touch wood - he's slept through once or twice in the last week.

no idea what'll happen with the new baby - if he feels the need to come in with us again for a while, thats fine, as long as he doesnt do the restless thing again - we also have a superkingsize - they're great

do you intend to co-sleep from the start with this lo and if so, where will they go if you dont mind me asking?

conkertree · 07/04/2009 07:41

poor you mathsmummy - must be so frustrating. hope the sweep works. surely if they work when you are nearly there its got a good chance of working.

oh yes forgot to say nutty - does sound like dh was taking stuff out on you when its work stuff he's cross about - hope he's woken up in a better mood.

conkertree · 07/04/2009 07:45

right better go and make some porridge. will check back later in between getting this house ready to show the viewer tonight. not sure how to keep it tidy really sure how to keep it tidy with ds around - might have to take him out for the afternoon.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 07:46

definitely intend to co-sleep right from the get go this time! (tried a cradle last time. didn't sleep for 2 weeks....WTF were we thinking??)
we'll put the cot up against the bed, side-car. so that baby will be safe from kicking DS and it gives us a bit more room. i'm not sure how it'll all work out, but hopefully it'll be ok. i guess you can't know until you try!

funniest thing is that DH was dead set against having DS in our bad last time. we had the side-car cot but inevitably he would end up in with us (it was winter and our house is FREEZING) now he's a complete convert. it was HIS idea to get the bigger bed!
DS can be a restless sleeper at times too. not too bad for me but DH gets kicked in the nuts a lot. (i try not to laugh....)

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 07:46

hope so conker
actually feeling fine about it, think it's because I had a few nasty contractions and remembered how much they hurt (!) so in no rush now...I'm so fickle! just enjoying being able to sleep at the moment as one night of contractions was horrendous!

I am deeply envious of you people with your superkingsize beds

purplemonkeydishwasher · 07/04/2009 07:55

mathsmummy - are you a co-sleeper too? (or do you just like to stretch out...)
