we'll all be at Tesco at some point in the next few days! I bought mine in debenhams a while ago but they are all that have fitted me for the last 10 weeks so they look manky already - Tesco here I come!

My baby has hiccups so much it's driving me mad!!

AuldAlliance · 06/04/2009 14:41

Aaargh, bloody estate agents!!!!!! I hate them.
Apologies to any who might be reading this, but really.
Am hoping that my waters will burst dramatically during one of these sodding visits they are trying to force on me ("You understand, Madame, we can't just wait till you've had your baby, can we now?" "WTF not? It's only a week, and no one will buy the house at the price you're all asking anyway.")

Sorry, rant over, off to finish cleaning...

conkertree · 06/04/2009 14:52

nutty - i'll give the picture a go later - dh finally labelled all our cables last night so i finally know how to put pictures from my phone onto a camera - not sure if that is taking nesting too far but its very useful.

we finally have a viewer for our house - second one in about 10 months - the market has just been totally dead here. glad the nesting has kicked in before today or i would be panicking - coming tomorrow evening. not going to get my hopes up but any movement is positive news. although we now have no idea where we would move to if somebody did buy it

phdlife - i'm starving all the time just now - i'm just too lazy to get out of bed for a snack unless i'm down peeing already.

springy - my sister went 14 days over with her first and my bil ended up going out on about day 10 and buying a goldfish cause he thought the baby was never going to come

boff - another diy in labour story for the april ladies - very impressed.

chickaleg - thanks for the tip - went to mothercare for fitting last week as didnt have ds and they said to come back at 38 weeks which is fine, bur dont really have time when ds is around so might try and nip in for fitting some time, but will definitely have a look at Tesco range now.

sure your ds will have a great wee holiday and means you can concentrate on the lo arriving.

poor you mathsmummy - these labours all seem to be taking a long time - apart from oddeyes maybe. surely it will come before wed though.

auld - surely a week will make very little difference to them. can you just not be in when they come round or is it too much hassle to try and avoid them?

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2009 15:10

Anyone else wondering where Juwes is today?

conkertree · 06/04/2009 15:16

was also wondering about lulu - i know she will be busy with the move but she's due in the next few days too.

BoeuffinMum · 06/04/2009 15:23

Hello again everyone.

MW has just been. I am now 3cm!!! Apparently just because I have had quick labours in the past does not necessarily mean every labour of mine will always be quick. This time I am apparently having a very slow one. This has thrown me a bit, tbh.

Anyway, I have had a sweep now, which wasn't too bad, and I should be in the region of 4cm, plus I had a big contraction just afterwards, which has to be a good sign. Waters have all drained away now but there's lots of show.

I have discovered if you put Moroccan mint and a spoonful of sugar with the raspberry leaf tea it tastes like Moroccan mint tea, surprisingly enough, and is drinkable. It is also nice as iced tea if you do this.

Anyway might post later as it seems I will be in labour for the whole of April at this rate.

BoeuffinMum · 06/04/2009 15:39

Ginger, have suggested a Data Protection Act whizzy solution for your insurance problem on the other thread. Posting a link up there now as well.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 15:53

Boff Yay for dilation but boo for slow labour ((hugs)) hopefuly it wont be too slow for you!!!

Brettgirl & Conker - yep they have both been very quiet!! i may give Juw a text shortly. I wonder if puzzle has hear from LuLu at all???

surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 16:11

you'll have your baby tonight Boff, I have a feeling!

I have been a good mummy this afternoon, I have tore myself away from MN and played board games with the DS's, made a wooden 3D dinosaur and sorted out a massive puzzle for them which they are now doing between them whilst eating a huge fruit salad. Couldn't get off the floor after playing those games though and baby is trying to prise my cervix open again! Actually I am really worried she's breech as I don't see how her head being there can cause all that pain, feels more like massive kicks - suppose she is many a strange position in there though!

JuwEggsm · 06/04/2009 16:16

Afternoon all! Still here, still incubating!

I woke up in such a lousy, grumpy, miserable mood this morning . So I went back to bed at midday for a couple of hours, which is very unusual for me as I normally just wake up feeling even worse if I sleep during the day. Fortunately I seem to have got out of bed the right side on the second go, and with the help of a cup of tea, a jar of Nutella and a spoon, I am feeling much more perky now. I was really getting myself into a bit of a gloomy downward spiral, not wanting to talk to anyone. Have been feeling really teary all weekend as well, which is also unusual for me, so assume I am in the middle of some sort of hormonal surge. This can only be a good thing??

Sorry to hear things have slowed down on the labour front. Before going down the pregnancy route, you hear people talk about long labours, and assume that it's all contractions and pushing for hours and hours, but no-one ever really mentions the stop-start nature of it all which so many people on here have had! We could definitely produce an April Mum's book on the realities of pregnancy, and the bits that no-one else ever tells you!

I am visualising my baby moving down and my fanjo opening like a beautiful flower !!

gingersarah · 06/04/2009 16:41

Hi Ju!

ha ha I think you'll find we couldn't product a book, because mn owns the copyright in all the material published here. So it would be Illegal, and we would be Prosecuted.

(duck and cover)

BoeuffinMum · 06/04/2009 16:56

Well if we rephrased it all on our own wiki site then it wouldn't belong to them, would it?

BabyBolat · 06/04/2009 17:35

Afternoon all

boo for the slowing labours - was almost kicking guests out the door to find out what was happening!!!

Boff, you are def on your way - I reckon late tonight / early hours of tomorrow and he will be here - to be fair this pregnancy wouldn't be complete for you without a long labour - don't think LO wants to make it easy for you!!!

Mw came round today, me and baby are all OK and then granddad, nanny and great granddad came round and LO was like a dream - sleepy and cuddly - am prob in for a night of it now though!!!

juw would some leftover cold pizza help...

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/04/2009 17:43

I seem to be getting lots of tummy tightenings this afternoon (quite uncomfortable too, though not enough to stop me living! lol) .... you think baby might be thinking about coming? OK, I shouldn't get my hopes up! But my original due date is tomorrow, so never know! I'm sure I had about 5 of them in 20 minutes - but I remember midwives always saying you had to have frequent and strong contractions to mean you were actually in labour! So, I'll just carry on with what I'm doing and see what happens.

However, I really need baby to come soon, as midwife this morning was telling me that they'll want to book me in for induction in hospital on Sunday if baby isn't born by then! Nooo, not letting them do that - especially based merely on the due date from scan.

mathshoneybunny27 · 06/04/2009 17:58

ctx slowing down here

even though I cuddled a newborn ALL afternoon!

BabyBolat · 06/04/2009 18:11

Rachel get moving! walk around and let the baby start coming (Would you like to borrow my sledge hammer and pull some walls down???) I still have tiling to do and some painting if you want to kick things off!

BabyBolat · 06/04/2009 18:12

MM - you want to come too?

BabyBolat · 06/04/2009 18:13

Just uploaded some pics - let me know if you can't see them!

mathshoneybunny27 · 06/04/2009 18:14

I'm there!
Although last night I did stop and briefly think 'er...why did I want this so desperately? It chuffing hurts!'

So impressed with you BB, I was a mess after having DD, couldn't string two word together.. just goes to show you are one formidable laydee.

How's the naming quest going?

mathshoneybunny27 · 06/04/2009 18:15

aaaaaaaaaaaaaawww so cute! Looks a lot like Daddy BB. Def a Karahan though....;)

soon2befamilyof4 · 06/04/2009 18:16

BB - what a lovely baby! Well done - absolutely gorgeous

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2009 18:18

BBB is gorgeous BB. I'm just soooo jealous!

I tried paining on Saturday, it didn't work for me . Perhaps you need to be in labour already?

brettgirl2 · 06/04/2009 18:19

painting lol

Schulte · 06/04/2009 18:24

BB what an ordeal you've been through - well done you tough cookie and congratulations again, your boy is gorgeous!

Boff at having a slow labour after you've had fast ones in the past. That's just not on! Anyway hope you don't get too disheartened!

Must play with DD now...
