SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 21:28

this is true but with the pain of labouring comes the end of pregnancy ...........both have their plus sides

No news from BB yet - if I hear anything I'll let you know!
Off to have a nice bath now... night night girls!

conkertree · 02/04/2009 21:35

thats very true smutty - think thats why even though the pushing stage with ds was probably the hardest thing i;ve had to do - i dont remember it as a bad thing cause it had a great outcome.

mathsmummy27 · 02/04/2009 21:36

..and cuddling a virtual baby is no fun..

conkertree · 02/04/2009 21:37

night night kitty.

conkertree · 02/04/2009 21:39

ooh things are finally coming together financially - our tenant has finally caught up with rent, i dont have to make additional NI contributions cause the number of qualifying years has dropped to 30, and dh has finally claimed a whole lot of expenses back from his work.

hate worrying about money soooo much as i'm sure everyone does, so its great when things take a turn for the better.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 21:40

Night KItty

Conker & MM - Exactly .......i wnat my baby now!!! [pouts]

Conker - thats fab, must be such a relief

OP posts:
conkertree · 02/04/2009 21:57

it is a relief - the main problem with our tenant is that he's my cousin so didnt want to fall out with him and push him too hard to pay - he's also a student so know he will be strapped for cash a bit - but at the same time we've had the mortgage payments to make etc - but the plus side is now the rent is ours to spend as we please as the mortgage has been paid.

boffin - what have you decided to do about your ap?

wonder how bb's walls are?

soon2befamilyof4 · 02/04/2009 22:00

Evening all. I have been too busy to get on since this morning and really don't have the energy to catch up with everything. Has I miss any exciting news? This thread moves so fast I can't read them all or I would be here all night.

my DD FINALLY started walking on her own today. She is 15 months and has been nearly walking for months but today it just seemed to click with her that she didn't actually need to hold somebodys finger - so now she is off!

Dad has been round doing some drilling and general DIY. Got blackout blinds in DDs room now so hopefully won't have another 5am start tomorrow!

Got a take away on its way, finally. Got a big pizza and DH has pasta and then we have warm cookie dough! Yum

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 22:04

Conker i bet they're up and tiled by now

Soon2Be - thats fantastic, well done to your DD!

has anyone seen this site has some adorable stuff

conkertree · 02/04/2009 22:10

yay for your dd soon2be - ds was 14 months and as soon as he got it - that was it - now hates having to go in his buggy.

conkertree · 02/04/2009 22:24

come on oddeyes - send me a text

thebluefoxategreensocks · 02/04/2009 22:29

soon: My first was just the same - she was 16 months when her brother was born and she started walking just before he was born. In a way, it was ummm...interesting...cause she was finally on her feet running about & escaping just when I had a tiny one to look after!

soon2befamilyof4 · 02/04/2009 22:31

conker - I think we will have that problem too. I have been determined to get her walking before baby is born (so I don't have to carry them both as much) so I haven't bothered getting the buggy out the car on school runs and have let her walk holding my hand/finger. She has loved it! Shame I finished childminding yesterday so won't be doing any more school runs!

soon2befamilyof4 · 02/04/2009 22:33

Its odd because she was really arly to do everything else (roll, sit, crawl etc) she was cruising at 6 months old ffs! lol. She was tiny too so looked really odd doing it. Nw she is a late walker!

BoffinMum · 02/04/2009 22:45

Ok, Conker and everyone, AP update.

Big confab with DH, and we decided things seem to go wrong mostly when she is left unattended with the kids and has to use her judgement.

So what we are going to do is to keep going, as this is a bad time to try to get someone new (who might also end up being crap), but remove school run duties and things like that, and basically just have her helping with the cleaning, laundry, simple meals and buying the odd bit of shopping when we run out of things.

I will have to try to do the school run next term myself, but we will just play that by ear a bit depending on how disabled I am. The new school does have disabled parking and much better disabled access and so on, which should help.

I do hope this will work now. I am fed up whinging frankly but it has been doing my head in.

BoffinMum · 02/04/2009 22:47

BTW thanks for all your patient and endless support over this ongoing AP saga. xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 22:50

Boffin - glad you have come to an good agreement, i really hope it works out for you, you really dont need the extra stress xxx

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/04/2009 22:51

are you going to be paying her less for reduced duties or will she be doing more round the house to make up for it?
