Hi Kitty Just a quick update to say Baby BOY Bolat was born today at 4.14 and weighs 6lb5oz was a bit complicated but we got there in the end!

CONGRATS oh buddy of mine!!!! Yay for BB and Baby BB and can't wait to hear the birth story... who wants to bet me an Easter Egg it involved an angle grinder and a drillbit???

Hello all, typing one handed as Meggy eats a little something.

Congrats BB! So pleased for you.

so quickly (ish)- waters broke as posted. Labored at home until 5am. Went in because contractions were fast and furious...every minute basically little one for about 30sec then big one for minute or more; after v painful exam found only 1cm!! Bleu very dis- heartened. Stayed for 2 hours trying hot bath and what not; suggested we go home because things not progressing fast enough. They said come back around noon. Lasted until 9am. back laboring all this time and it got so bad Iwas screaming the house down even though Ireally was trying not to. Went in though I knew it was too soon again, but poor dh couldn't stand my pain(as could i really). Had another painful exam... 2-3cm. OMG!
Given pethidine. Slept through little contractions, screamed through BIG until I got more sleep and regained some small shred of control. Was given g&a after a number of hours later and found that I was finally established. Labored 4 rather hard, but satisfying hours pushing out little Meg, who's 8lbs exactly and has a full head of light reddish (in some light) hair. Home again with some stitches in my nether region because I needed to have a cut for fear of tearing because of previous damage apparently. tired happy healthy

Hi there Bleu, glad you're back home and getting the simultaneous feeding/MNing underway.
Sounds as if it was hard work and pretty intense, but wee Meg was well worth all the screaming.
Get that bottom balm out for the stitches, and enjoy your gorgeous baby.

Oh Bleu, sorry it took so long for labour to establish properly for you but it sounds like it was all very worth it! Glad you managed to get some rest during all that time but so pleased that you are all doing well and are all happy and healthy!!

I want a baby by tomorrow! LOL My 19yo sister flew over from USA and has been here for nearly 2 weeks now...and still no baby! She's going back next week, so it will be awful if she's away when it's born - really need her here to look after my 2yo & 3yo while I'm in labour!!

Your baby has bunked off with my baby, MM. They are not in there, they have gone on a stag weekend to Amsterdam, clearly. One of them is probably naked and chained to a railing as we speak. And rather wet.

Boff signs? Well a little bit of show this morning but I had that 10 days ago as well with no results. I cried all yesterday, so apparently the hormones are back (I had two or three days feeling completely normal and unpregnant last week, apart from the usual mobility issues, which was odd but pleasant). Other than that I am convinced this will last forever, and I will never actually give birth. I am feeling a bit nervous about it all, despite the hypnobirthing so this might well be a good thing.

My cervix opens easily and my baby is the perfect size for my body ....
