if there is any news that i miss out on please can one of you text me (my phone will be on silent), thanks xx

AuldAlliance · 04/04/2009 10:06

Labour is boring gets my vote, too...

Am feeling really awful, don't know if it's just general end of PG nausea or linked to the medicine I took yesterday for my gardnerella. Haven't read a page, have been lying in bed feeling rubbish.

Actually, Gardenerella isn't a bad name. Has a certain ring to it, and no one seems to know what it means. Better than Chlamydia for that.
Where's WFH?

Enjoy the show Nutty. The stagecoach one, obviously...

PuzzleRocks · 04/04/2009 10:32

Soon2b - I hope you are feeling better today?

Auld - My DH oftens does or says peculiar things in the night of which he has no recollection. I have even had conversations with him.
Thanks for the topiary advice.

Maths/Soon2be - My DH has to come to bed with me now because otherwise he falls asleep on the sofa and then end up waking up very uncomfortable at about 4 or 5.

Ginger - I put our bets on the other day. Miine is a non-unner . DD is backing Chelsea Harbour so will rake it in if she wins. DH has a few quid on four or five others.

my vote:
Due April 2009 - Chapter 28: Manual Labour Brings on Boring Birthing Labour and we meet Baby BB!!!

Good luck with the show mini-nut.

JuwEggsm · 04/04/2009 10:39

Morning? Still no baby news?
As you've said, I'm sure BBB must be here by now. Possibly they've already got him/ her doing a quick oil change on the car whilst they wax it, before heading home from hosp?

I too was up lurking at unreasonable hours of the morning - about 3.30am I think, but I was not really with it enough to get it together and post!

I am irrationally annoyed beyond all reason that when I got up half-an-hour ago, DH did not offer to make me a cup of tea, and instead is sitting in the loo playing games on his iPhone .

Re: Gardenerella - lovely name I think, perhaps suggest it to the Olivers for their next girl, as they like flower/ nature names! I also like:

Giardia lamblia - good for first and second names!
Trypanoma Varicella - sounds Italian, no?
Neisseria Serratia

The world of pathogens is a wonderful source!

Am really quite tempted to go to naming threads and as what people think of Giardia

JuwEggsm · 04/04/2009 10:40

Stupid, stupid bloody italics!

brettgirl2 · 04/04/2009 10:43

Oh go on Juwes - they'd all coo and tell you it was gorgeous.

AuldAlliance · 04/04/2009 10:46

Oh, Ju, I am glad I'm not alone in finding the italics highly irritating.

Verruca isn't bad, as Roald Dahl spotted...

Just seen the Olivers' name choice. IMO too many parents nowadays forget to think about how their choice of name will affect their DC when they become adults. When she wants to do some high-powered job, will Petal not find it hard? And she can hardly use one of her other 2 names, they're not really any more adult.

JuwEggsm · 04/04/2009 10:56
brettgirl2 · 04/04/2009 10:58

I'm with you Auld. I'm so grateful to my parents for giving me a sensible name.

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 11:01

Still no news? Hope all is ok BB x

brettgirl2 · 04/04/2009 11:20

She's in the throes of it I reckon.

i'm off the paint the garden fences will be checking back in a while.

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:25

seem to have fallen asleep on my pom poms there...

I am getting a little bit tired of people calling/texting to ask if I have had my baby. Which I patently haven't. And yet a whole host of other people are calling to make appointments for tea and lunch and coffee and playdates with me next week, either because a) they don't remember/care I'm pregnant or b) they want me to go into labour at their house/in their company (last time was a bit like this and now they're all competing for the honour..)

I am a moany ol' heifer this morning, as you can see!

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 11:27

That would piss me off too MM, although it's something to keep you busy while you wait?

surprisenumber3 · 04/04/2009 11:28

Hi - just popped on to see if any news about BB and also am very glad to see you here MM here because I dreamt I had a text from you in the night and woke up desperate to post! Then I couldn't find text and realised I must have dreamt it!!!

I can't move very well today , have really bad stitch in bump all the time, near the bottom,. sometimes one side, sometimes the other and is worse when I move - anyone else have this or know what it is?

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:30

exactly...I would be moaning if left alone too no doubt.

Woke this morning to the sound of DD giggling uncontrollably..she was looking at my pregnancy book and whispering 'I can see that lady's bottom...'
oh and she found my 'nappies' in the bathroom and keeps saying 'I am a lady..ladies wear nappies too sometimes when they need to wee'

Nursery will love this on Monday

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:32

ha ha surprise - you have the buddy guilt too! I am pterified I'm going to fail in my moment of buddy-news truth!

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 11:34

aren't they lovely at blurting the wrong thing out at the wrong time MM?
I had antenatal class on thursday night so missed eastenders, and was really excited about watching the repeat on bbc3 at 10. Mum picked me up at 9 and DS delightfully informed me "mummy, Danielle died she was hit by a car"
Couldn't believe it!

surprisenumber3 · 04/04/2009 11:36

lol about your DD giggling, that's hilarious, she sounds so sweet!

Regarding people wanting to make plans for next week, I can sympathise. I have had a couple of my DS1's friends mums offer to have him for a few hours next week which will be lovely, but also a couple of DS2's friends mums ask me if I want to go on day trips on the train and mentioned going on my due date....hmmmm..that'll be a no then!!

WhatFreshEggIsThis · 04/04/2009 11:40

Morning bunnyladies,

No news from BB or Bleu? Let's hope they're sleeping it off with their lovely babies in their arms

Can someone link to the thread about the woman thrown out of the pub in Hove? Am intrigued.

Have fallen in love with Orbit Buttonhole as a name, now can't think of any other. Darn it!

Back later, must sleep now xx

soon2befamilyof4 · 04/04/2009 11:42

MM - are you sure they are not helping you pass the time? I am trying to arrange as much as possible to try and make the next few days/weeks go fast. My whole pregnancy sped by and tehn I got to 37 weeks on Wednesday, finished work and it seems like a month ago already. I am not due till the 22nd but the thing is because I was told I would probably have baby early - I have sort of consdiered myself due now, so feel overdue when I am not! I need to change that in my head somehow as otherwise, if I actually do go 2 weeks over,, it will be like being 5 weeks overdue in my head! I think I will loose my mind!

soon2befamilyof4 · 04/04/2009 11:44

Oh and by the way, our little girl is going to be called Talia. Just not sure on the spelling as there seem to be various ways and I have no idea what is best!

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:45

i am now 40+2 though, (and way over by my dates) so it is a case of any minute really.

like i said, would be ungrateful either way probably i am typing this with a creme egg - its a skill!

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:47

love Talia

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 11:49

beautiful name soon2be
MM believe it or not I HATE creme eggs
Haven't always, just last few years. I'm quite sad about it actually

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 11:51

Normally, I like them.
Pregnant me devours them, up to 4 at a time.

I have joined a facebook petition to make an Easter-egg sized one. You'd probably only eat it the once, mind..

I have a problem.
