Not much chance of a nap during the day - DD is 15 months ad doesn't nap at all unless a quick 10 mins in the car or something. And our house seems to be a constant mess so got to get stuff done when I can.

DD got out of bed for the first time last night. I woke up to her crying, as usual and I was going to quickly run down to the loo before I got her up but as I walked past her room I could here her by the door! She was trying to get out and quite upset so had to get her straight out. It means I NEED to tidy and childproof her room today - there is alsorts lying around that could have been very dangerous.

DH is in bed. He annoys me as I spend all evening waitin for him to go to bed. If he says he will be late to bed I just go without him but he is always saying he will be "20mins" or whatever so I figgure I might as well wait for him, but it goes on for ages. I am not listening to him anymore. He is then too tired to get up in the morning - which isn't fair as so am I amd it was his choice to stay up - not mine.

Sorry, he is not my favorite person right now! If it doesn't rain we might go to the car boot sale when he gets up though so maybe some fresh air and a good walk round would do us some good.

Glad the issue of hair for birth etc has come up. I can't see mine and haven't for quite a while so haven't done anything to it and was wondering what they must think!

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 08:30

at BB family DIY!

I sympathise re: DH - mine always seems to wake me up coming to bed at 1-2am and then moans about being tired next day ...

BUT I have a system where we get up on alternate mornings (now we are both at home as he is self-employed) so no excuses. Sometimes feels unfair on him, especially if he's been working until late, but I know I am rubbish on no sleep and on his days he can sleep until whenever.

Will have to adjust very shortly again but with DD1 we had a 'double shift' system that worked quite well...

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 08:36

Boff - lol at your BB monalogue so true!!!

Auld - ahh thats interesting, may have to leave mine alone now then (though it is quite tidy due to dh having cropped for me). LOL i have visions of your dh hopping round in the middle of the night to fierce glares from you

Soon2Be - never listen to a bloke if they say they will be up to bed soon lol!! if i waited for my dh i would be in bed at 12 and have to wait up till 4 for him to get to bed and we have 3 alarms for the morning so he gets up for work i think some blokes are just nocturnal by nature, try not to let it get you down too much

soon2befamilyof4 · 04/04/2009 08:39

we did start doing that at one point as he works shifts - 4 days on, 4 off. BUT I found that I would end up sleeping in till midday, ge up and find that absolutly nothing had been done, house was a bomsite, DD stil in her PJs and had watched TV most of the day and I would be hungry etc too so would then spend the next few hours getting stuff done and felt worse by the end of the day than if I had just got up at 7am and got bits done as usual. And When DH knew it was his turn for a lie in - he would stay up till stupid times - 4am or whatever and then sleep ALL day and then really struggle when he went back to work. Honestly I feel like I am mum to an adoped teenager sometimes rather than married

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 08:45

aaah, soon2b, that's why I married a DH twice my age

he still plays random immature farting games with DD, mind...

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 08:51

Mathsbunny - thats the song i was trying desperatly to think of yesterday!!! for you

mathshoneybunny27 · 04/04/2009 08:54

that link is like a wormhole!! don't confuse me this early in the morning....

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 09:01

oh rats hang on, sorry......

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 09:02

soon2be, I hope you're feeling better today xx I think all men do that making you wait up for them to go to bed thing. It's been probably the biggest bone of contention in my parents' marriage, it happens here, I know that Nutty's always up waiting for her DH to stop playing a game... (As I see now she's said herself ) It really does seem to be a universal male flaw

Auld, 'first family shopping experience at Homebase' & you & MM are so easy to wind up

RIGHT! WHERE'S THE BABY NEWS?

BB? Bleu? Anyone else?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 09:03

song for MM xx

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 09:05

no news as yet, dont want to wake BB by texting, she will have had a long night and Bleu hasnt text me back at all from yesterday afternoon

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 09:06

I'm going back to bed for snuggles. It's early, it's Saturday morning & I don't yet have any reason to not be asleep. I'm making the most of being a first-timer considering how few of these opportunities must be left! xx

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 09:07

Have nice snuggles sweety, i will text you if there's any news xx

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 09:08

Yeah, I don't want to disturb BB either. Although I'm sure she'll be awake by now if she's on a ward, I don't want to hassle her if she's cooing over her new baby. I really hope she is - she must be by now. I refuse to believe otherwise.

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 09:08

Thanks lovely, I'll be back later xx

brettgirl2 · 04/04/2009 09:12

Just popping in to see if there is any news yet .......

Springy - I am really at your treatment last night. Do they think that PG women should be locked up or something? Feral twats ffs.

I stayed in and drank gasp - half a can of IPA last night.

The reason I have to not be asleep is..... I just can't sleep in

gingersarah · 04/04/2009 09:21

Morning!

Just drinking coffee in bed before my last NCT class. The first of us has already had her baby, without making it through the course: CS at 36 weeks.
She had had hypnobirthing lessons and every kind of natural whatnot course so it seems a shame on one hand; on the other, they have a gorgeous little girl so SO WHAT!

So who's backing what in the Grand National?

Any clever way of organising a virtual April mum's sweepstake? The only way I can think of would involve someone doing a manual draw on all our behalf and therefore require trust in the randomness. Anyone else have a better idea?

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 04/04/2009 09:36

No news from BB yet - she MUST be a Yummy Mummy by now!!! can't wait to hear her news...

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 09:37
