OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 11:52

Nope, the thought of it actually makes me feel sick

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 12:13

If we all start shaking our pompoms do you think BB will come and update us?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 04/04/2009 12:15

ok that did not go according to plan....... had to be brought home cos the car journey ther was just too much, couldnt get out of the car when we got there and was in agony being brought home dh carried me into the house and has dashed off with his friend (who is kindly sitting with dh while he drives) and he will probably not get there in time for dd's show but just in time to pick her up at the end.

i have ruined today for everyone by just by being stoubourn and thinging i could leave this god forsaken house to see dd do her show and now daddy probably wont even be there for her i give up, going to knock myself out with some morphine and go to bed

sorry for rant.

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 12:18

you have not ruined the day by being stubborn, you have tried your best to get there to watch your DD. It's not your fault xxx

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 12:55

brettgirl, didn't you know that pregnant women should be quarantined? We're a risk to society.

Nutty It's not your fault. You didn't ruin anything. You're very pregnant & in lots of different kinds of pain - you didn't have any way of knowing that it'd be just too much this time. If you'd have thought for a second that you wouldn't be okay, you wouldn't have risked it. DD won't mind. She may not even notice that DH wasn't there - & if she does, she'll understand that you really wanted to be there. There's no doubt that you love her & would want to support her! xx

Ooh, Giardia is a fantastic name. Just beautiful

I love the concept of buddy guilt As if we don't have enough to worry about!

MM, your DD sounds hilarious

WFH, I'm going to be disappointed if you reject Orbit Buttonhole as a naming choice now, you realise that?

The pregnant woman in the pub in Hove thread.

BoeuffinMum · 04/04/2009 12:58

Oh Nutty, don't feel bad, you were just trying to be a good mum. We absolutely forbid you to beat yourself up over this, don't we, girls?

You will be at the next concert, most definitely, just remember that. Your DD is so lucky to have you as a mum, and I am sure she knows that. Not long to go now. xx

SpringySponge · 04/04/2009 13:12

Yes, absolutely forbidden. These things are always more important to the parents than to the child anyway. I know that doesn't really help, but you're bound to be far more upset about it than she is. She probably doesn't see it as a big deal at all xx

BoeuffinMum · 04/04/2009 13:15

Also Nutty, you are growing her a sibling, which is the biggest, shiniest, most generous gift a parent can ever give a child. That is enough.

soon2befamilyof4 · 04/04/2009 13:33

I am glad this is moving a bit slower today as I can actually keep up for once! I prefer to be in on the conversations properly but just can't be reading 15 pages everytime I have a quick check at the pc!

Was hoping to go out today but DH is being an arse again. I am still in pjs but have been busy sorting out DDs room.

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 13:48

still no word from BB?
have extra huge pompoms ready, with little bells on too [hopeful]

chickaleggjac · 04/04/2009 13:53

DP and I are doing the dummy run to the MLU today, as we've never been. I phoned them to ask if it was ok to come in and they said we're welcome to. They then went on to formally arrange it for 3pm and told me to bring notes so they can add any details to theirs from mine that they dont have.
Am quite nervous for some reason. I'm excited too but I think it's the reality of it that's starting to hit me. Also we'll have DS with us, but surely they wouldn't mind that? They seem to be very family friendly, even saying kids are welcome at birth.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 04/04/2009 14:16

whew! finally got caught up!! was trying desperately to get to the end to see what BB had!.....and nothing. c'mon girl! you can take a bathroom down in 10 minutes flat but getting a little baby out takes this long??

we are having a horrendous weekend. after DH's all-nighter on thursday (if you missed it - the place that houses the servers in london was on fire) he got about 3 hours sleep, got up and started to work from home...for another 12 hours. finally got to bed last night at 2:30, up at 7:30...more working...now he's gone to the local server site to try to fix things. poor guy. i have never been so glad that i'm not even close to having this baby!!

rachel - i hear you about the eating thing. i'm so hungry all the time. i want fruit. and chocolate. and ANYTHING really. and it all kills me. what's the fun of being pregnant if you can't eat your weight in whatever you want??

Bleuravin · 04/04/2009 14:25
