I think this lo has had a growth spurt. It's the only way I can explain how I feel at the mo. Without crutches I'm properly shuffling now. Watching me clear the table after dinner must have been some sight.

Felt a little sorry for dh today, because he was helping this guy sort out our leaky roof + getting the front of the house ready for the porch we're building and ds was v. interested in all the happenings. All I heard all morning every 5 mins was "DAAADAAAYYY, DAAAADAAAY" (my ds in his lovely midland accent) until his dad finally paid attention to him. And when I say every 5 mins, I'm not excaggerating either!

blotted Those trains were a nice surprise. At £10 a train, a token not to be sniffed at!

Detsy Hope your dd feels better soon and that your leg soon feels like it's attached to your body again too

Where was it again that some of you had their bras fitted: Bravado? I'm of anyone who lives near a decent fitting service. All we've got is M&S and Mothercare. The mothercare service is rubbish, the woman just reads the sizes from the packet after measuring ! M&S is a bit better, but I still don't feel it's brilliant.

sausage

No, get it right, you will say 'Dumela Mma/Rra, did you sleep well'..........

Yes, I have read all of the No 1 Ladies' Doo-Dah books! In fact, I feel a re-read coming on tonight for a bit of escapism. I may brave a wallow in the bath as well (provided I can face being winched out by DH, which is always humiliating, 'tis a good job he loves me and still thinks I'm a foxeeee laydeeeeee).

(am keeping the dress btw! but thats the least of my worries at the mo!)

Febes · 07/04/2009 19:13

Belgian- Bravissimo- I think they are only in London but worth a trip with you have big norks as they are great and once you know your size they have a catalogue and are on line also. My sister orders them from NZ.

pulapula · 07/04/2009 19:13

chocbunnies- hope you are Ok. I think i had some false alarms with DD so let's hope its just that. What makes you think things are happening?

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 07/04/2009 19:14

What's happening Choc??

EmmalinaC · 07/04/2009 19:14

belgian the expert bra-fitters are at Bravissimo. Have a look here and see if they have a store anywhere near you. They are fantastic! I am a 32GG according to Bravissimo (who I trust absolutely) but when I went into House of Fraser in Epsom the dizzy girl with a tape measure told me I was a 38D - that's way off!

EmmalinaC · 07/04/2009 19:16

Eeeek chocbunnies! Keep us posted...

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:16

Febes Thanks for that. Bravissimo. I'll have a look to see if they've got somewhere closer too. I'm not huge, but I do tend to have a difficult to find size (32DD)

chocbunnies It is a bit early. What's happening? Not your waters too is it?

chocolatebunnies · 07/04/2009 19:21

Welll . . . . Now don't go getting yourselves all excited, its probably nothing.

I've felt really off all day, just felt odd, have had to go to the toilet for no less than 4 No. 2's (sorry TMI!) my back hurts and have period type achy ness round the front and underneath my bump, achyness keeps getting stronger and then easing off but nothing worth timing or anything, some more TMI I have been feeling rather damp (eugh) down there all day too.

I had all of these just before I went into labour with Madi, except the wetness (double eugh)

(The No.2's is v.v.v.v.v. unlike me, I usually go days without one due to coeliac ness)

oooooo I dont know, am home alone too!

chocolatebunnies · 07/04/2009 19:22

P.S. I haven't eaten anything to upset my tummy, so I know its not that!

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:23

x-post Emmalina thanks for the link. There's one in touchwood in Solihul. That's not too far from me. I'll have to have a look at them, because I have this feeling that none of my bras are the right size.

Febes · 07/04/2009 19:24

How many weeks are you now Choc?? Try and relax maybe have a bath and see if anything kicks off. Do try to sleep tonight if you can too cause if it is starting you will need some rest while you can. How exciting!! Were you early with Madi?

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:27

chocbunnies Have you been in touch with the hospital? That period type pain does sound suspicious, especially because it gets stronger. When it eases, does it ease for long? Have you been wearing a pad for that dampness or do you think it's just excessive discharge? Has baby been moving the same as normal? Sorry about all the questions, I'm just a bit worried really. I would have a word with your mw or the hospital if I were you. Even if it wasn't labour, it could be a UTI.

chocolatebunnies · 07/04/2009 19:31

Im 33+4 today.

Madi was 6 days late.

I should probably sort some things together incase its going to kick off! Im not reeeeaaaaadddddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:34

Choc Does paracetamol ease it? Definitely have a good rest and an early night if you don't think it's worth phoning the hospital. It's definitely too early, so if it doesn't easy, definitely get in touch with your hospital sooner rather than later.

chocolatebunnies · 07/04/2009 19:35

I think its just excessive discharge, but its v.clear and watery, when I wipe, but not needing a pad, my wayers never went with Madi until she came out so I have no idea!

Baby has had some strong almost painful movements earlier but has calmed right down now, which is unusual in itself, cant get comfy at all, back is really sore, my bump hurts if that makes sense??

I have been going to the toilet alot the last few days.

The period pain is really difficult to explain, its a constant ache but it gets a bit more painful, until I move and then it goes back to an ache again

FiKelly · 07/04/2009 19:39

detsy hope your leg feels better when lots is in bed..

really feel for all of you that's had to do bed and bath routine solo.. I'm so totally shattered atm it's v hard to summon up the strength even when my dh is only 15mins late!

sorry to hear about dc's being err 'tricky'.. ds is ok atm but my dog is driving me nuts! whining and whinging at everything.. to go out.. come back in.. attention then no attention .. food then not eating it! arrrgh grrr [holds hands up in air emoticon]

chocolatebunnies ooo err keep us posted.. could just be a tummy bug though I suppose with v bad crampy wind?

detsy · 07/04/2009 19:40

Oh choc (TMI alert) I'm pooing for England and have been for weeks!! Hope youa re okay, try and chill out a bit x

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:43

Hmm, doesn't really sound like contraction sort of pain if it's a constant ache. If you don't need a pad I'd say its unlikely it's your waters. Like you've seen from the others heavy discharge is quite normal at this stage and it's normal to be clear. Could you have eaten something to set off your bowel trouble? I'd still phone the hospital if the pains don't settle though, just to see what they think. In the mean time have a rest and get your dp to look after Madi for you.

FiKelly · 07/04/2009 19:45

chocolatebunnies just seen your latest posts.. takes me ages to post from my phone.. definitely take it easy.. and phone the labour ward if aches and wetness get worse.

Belgianchocolates · 07/04/2009 19:48

Detsy I need to join you in the TMI alert. I think it's the iron tablets...

Right, better go and put my dcs to bed now. Yes, I'm on my own for that too, but they're good and old enough to get themselves changed and washed, so I don't mind. It's just the giving my dd a kiss and cuddle at the end of it that's hard work. Her bed is so low down.

Oh and I'm sure I'm not the only one, but: why oh why is it that at the stage where you can't bend to pick things of the floor everything keeps slipping out of your hands. I'm sure there's someone up there laughing at all those clumsy heavily pregnant women

chocolatebunnies · 07/04/2009 19:51

Probably a silly question from a 2nd timer, but how will i know if my waters go? like if im on the loo or something? What do I need to look out for?

Thanks for all your concerns and advice.

Im really hoping it isnt 'go time!' Im not at all ready and DP wont be back from football till 9.30 at the earliest.

sausagenmash · 07/04/2009 19:52

Choc take it easy - and keep us posted! My discharge, though, is well drippy, so it could be that?! (aaaaghaahaaggh!)

Grumpy - 'Dumela' thats it! All I could think of was 'koko'!! And '97%'!! Am going to re-read all my books too. I LOVE them, and the telly series and EVERYTHING. So much so that my dp calls me his mma I must admit, I am feeling very 'traditionally built' these days...
