Can I ask, does anyone else, when they have ms, retch up bile but no food? I usually only get like it in the morning, but tonight, while putting dd to bed (really good timing!) I felt so awful and just retched up loads of bile, it was horrible! Sorry for the TMI!!

LissyGlitter · 22/04/2009 19:56

cupoftea Poor you. I've been thinking about you.

sounthernbelle Yep, I get that!

After a lovely day of feeling almost normal, symptoms are back with a vengeance today. After struggling to get a plate of mild curry down (I managed the naan bread and some of the plain rice) I attempted to go into town with dd. About an hour of wandering around and being ok if I sipped water, then I got backache and felt really dizzy and sick. Managed to make it to my friends cafe where I could sit down and have a glass of vimto (And then spent about half an hour on the loo trying to fart as I felt so windy while dd was shouting "mummy poo!" at the top of her voice) then I had to ring DP and ask him to come and meet me as I wasn't sure I would make it home without throwing up/passing out/both and was worried about dd. Got home and straight to bed (DP brought me a laptop and a brew, bless him) but keep having to get up to go to the loo as I feel so sick. Determined not to be sick though, as I already feel really dizzy and weak, and throwing up will make me even worse. My back is really aching, I hope the baby is ok in there. I had sharp pains around my kidneys yesterday though, so it could be that I'm dehydrated.

becks130 · 22/04/2009 21:06

I had my 12 week scan today and unfortunitly I had a MMS, It was really hard to dealwith but my DH was fantastic. I'm having tyo have a D&C done tomorrow marning as I want it all over with so that I can move on

EasyEggs · 22/04/2009 21:08

Oh becks I am so sorry I'm glad DH is being very suportive for you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow x x

Tamlin · 22/04/2009 21:50

Becks, I'm so sorry. Was in your shoes in late December with a mmc - the ERPC was psychologically hard, but physically much easier than I thought it would be. Take care of yourself - I recommend chocolate and a good hot water bottle for afterwards.

My bleeding seems to have taken it up a notch or two, despite me trying to spend the best part of the day on the couch. I wish my idiot body would just cut it out.

pinkfizzle · 22/04/2009 22:48

Becks - I am so sorry to hear that and will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Cup of Tea - I am also so very sorry to hear about your outcome. Wishing you and your dh future baby dust.

Ninjacat · 22/04/2009 23:19

Becks and Cupoftea I'm so sorry to hear your news X

turtle23 · 23/04/2009 08:01

Becks and Cupoftea- So very sorry to hear your sad news.

ursigurke · 23/04/2009 08:25

Becks - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you and your husband will get lots of support. Will be thinking of you today.

BeckyBendyLegs · 23/04/2009 08:27

Becks I am so very sorry to hear your news. I had a missed MC in 2005 discovered at the 12 week scan. I had a D&C then too. As Tamlin said physically the D&C, or ERPC as it is now called it seems, is very straightforward. It will be a very emotional day for you I'm sure but if your DH is as supportive as mine was, and it sounds like he will be, then you'll get through it and be able to look to the future afterwards whatever it may bring for you.

Tamlin I hope you are ok.

Laugs · 23/04/2009 08:58

Becks so sorry to hear your news. I'm sure we'll all be thinking of you today and I'm glad your DH is takig good care of you x

Cies · 23/04/2009 09:13

Beck and cupofteaplease so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourselves.

Well, I'm now bang on 11 weeks, and only got to wait until next Wednesday for my scan.

I really need to buy a new bra. Is is necessary to get unwired bras this early on? At the moment I'm managing with a sports bra that was a little big for me, and now is bursting at the seams. The funny thing is I've lived in Spain for 6 years now but I've never bought a bra here, I always wait till I go back to UK and pop into Debenhams or M&S. I'm going to have to brave one of the small boutiques near my house. I hope they'll measure me properly.

I also now only have one pair of decent trousers that fit. This is more due to the fact that I'm crap at shopping, so I leave it and leave it. My last nice jeans ripped spectacularly from inner thigh to bum cheek, so have been inexpertly patched and relegated to dog walking jeans. I've got a friend coming out next weekend to stay so we might head off to the shops and look for some maternity jeans. The expandable waistline ones sound good.

Sorry, long post not saying very much! Hope the ms gets better for everyone soon. good luck for those with scans today.

Cies · 23/04/2009 09:22

Oh, forgot to say, last night we went over to give DH's nephew his birthday present, and SIL (she of all the advice re stretch mark oil) took me to one side and reeled off all the baby equipment they've got stored in the attic: moises basket, cot, baby clothes, bouncy chair, changing table etc. Fantastic! I wasn't really very effusive in my thanks at the time because it still seems a bit early to me to be thinking about all that sort of thing, but it's great to know that they are happy to pass on so much stuff. I'll have to mention it again later on and be more obviously grateful.

tigger32 · 23/04/2009 09:38

Becks I am so sorry to hear your sad news, as laugs says we will be thinking about you today

Munchies37 · 23/04/2009 09:47

sleeplessinthecity · 23/04/2009 10:05

Becks Sorry for your pain. I hope you get through today with strength and support.

Ladies, it's pretty tough this journey isn't it. Will be thinking of you all going through the roughest of times..

scarlotti · 23/04/2009 10:31

Becks am so sorry to hear what you're going through. I went through that last dec so can understand how you're feeling. Take as much time as you need to grieve and get over your loss. Thinking of you.

Fruitpastels · 23/04/2009 10:47

Becks so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you.

turtle23 · 23/04/2009 12:51

What are people's views on home dopplers? I caved and bought one last pg and have just dug it out...can't believe it but heard heartbeat despite only being 9+1!! I had forgotten how insanely fast they are in the begining. Would freak out a bit though if couldn't catch it next time...

BeckyBendyLegs · 23/04/2009 12:54

I didn't know there was such a thing!

HomeintheSun · 23/04/2009 13:08

Becks I'm so sorry to hear your news, sending you love and hugs.

Cies I bought a lot of maternity clothes off e-bay, I'm not working this time round so I only have to buy casual stuff buy there's loads of work thing on there too.

I've had a nice morning, DS and I went to the local zoo with some friends, he had a nap on the way home so is not sleeping this afternoon and we have to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks again, I'm really tired and was looking forward to a nap.

Laugs · 23/04/2009 13:09

Wow that must be amazing turtle. I don't tik I'd get one because I'd be worried in case I couldn't find it, but the I'm quite neurotic! Would love to hear it though

Laugs · 23/04/2009 13:23

think, even

Laugs · 23/04/2009 13:42

Can anyone else just Not Stop Eating? I was reading that you aren't even supposed to up your calorie intake until the third trimester, and then only by 200 calories. HA. I have eaten at least twice my normal amount today and could eat more. Just finished lunch, but will probably want a snack in an hour. I might be being quite greedy, but I just don't ever seem to feel full at the moment. I'm going to be the size of a house.

Ninjacat · 23/04/2009 14:32

Laugs I am exactly the same despite promising myself I wouldn't go food crazy. Even the mw at epac told me I'd regret it! Still can't stop.

Had the early pregnancy class today. Basically it's like a mass introduction to the mw dept. All the non personal stuff that they tell everyone done in one fell swoop.
Got given a huge amount of leaflets and some forms to fill in and take to booking in appointment. I think from the amount of people there, there's definitely a baby boom going on here.

They also took bookings for 12 week scan, only I'm not allowed one because I've already had four at epac so they will date from those.

Glad I'm freelance or I don't know how I'd keep up with all these appointments.
