Ladies, it seems that we do not know when to stop!
Here is another thread. Let?s hope it?s just not the tread that moves that fast - let the weeks fly!
I jsut have to work out how to link the old one now!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sleeplessinthecity · 16/04/2009 09:36

Cupofteaplease - wow, am praying for the best for you..

Thanks for your welcome folks. Am all with the "i feel too sick to do anything"..Mrs tidy has turned into a slob. I can't be bothered to do anything. The kitchen is hell..feeding DD is a nightmare. The only thing DD wants is for me to sit with her and play ALL day. Do you think they sense that a new baby is on the way and are playing up ALL the time????
Have my scan next week, bit nervous too.
Love reading this post..makes me feel normal.

xx

sleeplessinthecity · 16/04/2009 09:47

PS: I want to invent a pregnancy simulator for DHs. Something that makes them sick for over 3 months, and even if they try and throw up nothing comes out but vile stomach acids and a bursting of blood vessels in the eyes. Sore boobs that hurt in the shower, stomach that doesn't know what it wants. One minute it's liquorice, then it's popcorn, then it's chocolate and KFC. When you finally get it you just throw it all up anyway. etc etc etc.. I could go on and on and on..don't even get me started on the birth simulator....sigh

Laugs · 16/04/2009 09:55

sleeplessinthecity I just posted on another thread about my DD playing up all the time and hoping it wasn't because she can sense I am pregnant. It would make sense I suppose but I don't even want to think what it's going to be like when an actual baby comes along!

Fruitpastels · 16/04/2009 09:57

Cupoftea - thinking of you. Hope you are managing to get some rest and being looked after.

Welcome newbies! Sleepless - how old is you DD? My DS went through this phase. He is now 3.6 and much easier to cope with. I think that's why I've waitied this long to have a 2nd baby.

Hope those with MS are starting to feel better. I'm in the 11th week now and it's eased up loads. Still having very queasy moments, but that's when I've not eaten on time.

Fruitpastels · 16/04/2009 09:59

Love that idea sleepless!! If only eh?!

sleeplessinthecity · 16/04/2009 10:14

DD is 15 months..i can't think of anything else that is making her hard work. Of course when DH is home she is an angel. She won't play by herself, wants be carried all the time and just whinges. My mother's old wives tale says that apparently los sense these things..
All i will say is thank goodness for Cbeebies, it's the only thing that keeps her calm. I only recently discovered it!

Laugs hope your DD improves
Fruitpastels wanted to get pregnancy over with due to MS. It was severe last time, was in bed for weeks. No chance of doing that now!
Imagine no chance of indian or chinese delivery either here in Switzerland! boo

turtle23 · 16/04/2009 10:18

Sleepless- DS has been a little limpet since about three days before I found out. He has stepped up the breastfeeding and just wants me with him constantly. Am convinced he knows. I love him dearly but I NEED A BREAK!

As for the birth I was at...she did sooooo well for soooo long and then as soon as soon as she had an epidural it was synto drips, catheters, 3 hours of pushing then 3 different sets of forceps. Yuck.

Fruitpastels · 16/04/2009 10:24

sleepless I wish I had started thinking of baby no 2 a little sooner. I would have liked a smaller age gap. I'm a childminder and looked after many young toddlers and they all do the same around the age of your DD. It's not easy I know. Hopefully when the MS calms down, life will feel a bit easier again.

Tabbykat · 16/04/2009 10:33

Gosh, I don't check for a couple of days and what a lot of messages! Welcome to the newbies!
Cupofteaplease can't believe it - you must be a complete emotional wreck - know I would be! thinking of you and your bean and hope it's still hanging in there.

Southernbelle So pleased yesterday - despite feeling v sick I got through my inspection in one piece and even managed a good - really chuffed and very relieved - thanks for your message on the cm thread.

Hope everyone feeling ok today, x

sleeplessinthecity · 16/04/2009 10:37

Fruitpastels a bigger age gap means DS will understand more hopefully and maybe help out a little..what do you think??

Turtle...if only we could get a break..sometimes I want to dig a hole, jump in and never come out!

Fruitpastels · 16/04/2009 10:46

Sleepless I think he'll be a great age (he is now to be honest). There are pros and cons to all age gaps. Hope your MS eases up soon for you. I totally know how you feel.

turtle23 · 16/04/2009 11:49

Hot Cross Bun bread tasted with Philadelphia. yum.

EasyEggs · 16/04/2009 12:24

Oh my word this thread is huge since I last looked!!!

Sorry if this all seems vague but I can't remember all the names.

Would just like to say how sorry I am to those who had bad news I am thinking of you all and hope you are all being well looked after.

cupoftea WOW you must be in a bit of shock at the moment with all this. Must be hard to take in. I have my fingers, toes and everything else possible crossed for you that your little beanie grows big and strong and hangs in there. I can't believe it!

Welcome to all the new recruits This is one busy board! Congratulations to you all

I am now 9+2. Had no more bleeding or anything so thats all good. Just have this constant sick and dizzy feeling. So bad somedays that dp has had to do pretty much everything. He went back to work today so just me and the 4 lo's, roll on Monday lol!

Been so busy here I have hardly had a chance to catch up. Hopefully will get more time once they are back at school next week.

Dd has decided to become the devil child in the last week. Terrible 2's have come early I really hope it wears off soon. I am too ill to deal with it effectively at the moment.

Ds is almost 7m and still won't be weaned! He is only interested in milk full stop. It's driving me mad. Hopefully he will get hungry enough one day and realise to need for food!

Hope everyone is starting to feel a bit better now. Are there any 12weeks scans looming? Mine isn't until 7th May, feels like an age away!

Tamlin · 16/04/2009 12:29

Easyeggs, my ds (now 18 mos) wasn't interested in food at seven months. I remember feeling absolutely desperate as I tried to spoon various Annabel Karmel concoctions down him while he shouted for boob, but he got there in his own time - I think he was ten months old when he suddenly decided that this solids malarkey seemed like a good idea. I wasted SO MUCH pureed stuff in the meantime...

We spent Easter weekend with a tummy bug - first ds was throwing up violently and producing foul nappies, and then I'd be throwing up into the nappy bucket next to him. It was very grim.

Wish my nuchal date would hurry up, I feel as if I'm showing fairly obviously at eleven weeks - skinny arms and legs and sticking-out tummy. Would rather not have kitty out of the bag just yet...

Tamlin · 16/04/2009 12:30

Should add - has everyone else due in early November heard from their midwives already? The GP referred me at eight weeks, and now here I am at eleven without a peep out of them... I actually do have some questions which I don't want to bother the doc with, so I wish they'd hurry it up...

EasyEggs · 16/04/2009 12:33

tamlin thanks for that. Just seems so pointless keep making food just for him to throw at me!!

I think you should definately have heard from the MW's by now. I have always been booked between 8-9weeks. Try giving them a call see what is happening. You may find they have "lost you" in the system

Cies · 16/04/2009 12:38

Sorry to hear about all the bad news.

Cupoftea you must be in shock. Fingers crossed for you that the little bean stays put and grows well.

I have no queasiness now, and have regained lots of my energy, although siestas are still very appealing. I'm 10 wks exactly today. I can't get the idea of mmc out of my mind. I just don't feel pg, except for bigger boobs and constipation. I haven't had any bleeding or anything, so it's probably a totally irrational fear, but I will be relieved to have the scan and see that all's ok.

Hope those of you with awful MS start to feel better soon.

cupofteaplease · 16/04/2009 13:04

Hi all, thanks again for all the supportive messages. I feel like I've got a great network of support here!

Hope everyone is feeling very pregnant today lol!

Good luck with your scan today pavlov.

I'm trying to step away from Google today and accept that che sera, sera.

BeckyBendyLegs · 16/04/2009 13:31

Hello everyone!

I can't stand hot cross buns because every day at 4pm over Easter DH would toast some hot cross buns and the smell would drive me out of the house. Yuck. I don't think I'll ever be able to eat them again.

I feel a bit more sick today so feel a bit reassured as I had terrible miscarriage dreams last night. Does anyone else have them? So real and I wake up in tears.

Tamlin sorry you've had a bug. I dread us coming down with a stomach bug as I am an awful patient when it comes to sickness.

Well Wales is a bit cold today but we've been on a beach a bit today. In the caravan now doing jigsaws and chilling out. We're going home tomorrow. It'll be nice to have extra help from DH again. I've found being sole parent from 7am-8pm a challenge while feeling soooo tired and sicky and the DSs haven't exactly being going to sleep promptly at 8pm! But the sea air has definitely done me a lot of good. I recommend it.

BeckyBendyLegs · 16/04/2009 13:32

PS love the idea of a pregnancy simulator. DH did say to me that if he felt like I did he'd probably be under a duvet all day watching Space DVDs!

becks130 · 16/04/2009 13:37

Hi All,

I hope your all feel ok today.

Tamlin I am due 4th Nov and I had my booking appointment with the midwife last week, I thought this is meant to be done between week 8 - 10.

Cies you are not alone about the mmc, I seem to spend all of my life at the moment worrying, it's driving me mad! I too have no real reason to worry, no bleeding, sore boobs and feeling awful half the time but I just can't help it. I have my 12 week scan next wednesday so I am hoping that all is good and my mind will finally be at ease.

sleeplessinthecity · 16/04/2009 13:43

Good to hear some of you are showing..However, I think my belly is the result of pigging out on chocs. I gave it up for lent and am in over drive at the mo..my first bar came out pretty quick but i found that non nutty ones stay in the belly .

All of you with more than one LO am in awe..i can't manage this with one so you guys are real pros.

oops DD has woken grumpily again, better go..

BeckyBendyLegs · 16/04/2009 13:59

sleeplessinthecity I actually think it is easier with two DCs than with one as my DSs amuse each other while I am doing a dying swan act on the sofa. I remember being pg with DS2 and having just an 18-month DS1 and it was harder then I think. He needed constant amusement.

I have a little belly too but was thinking it was all that cheese I've been eating.

cupofteaplease · 16/04/2009 14:08

I agree with Becky- my two girls entertain themselves a lot of the time. Is most useful when I am feeling green around the gills!
