Do the clocks go forward tonight?
Am a bit out of it, for a change.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 28/03/2009 20:37

yes they do. can't wait to see what this does to ds's sleep!

mumblemumhome4lunch · 28/03/2009 20:41

evening all.
Just poking my head in to say Hi as haven't been about for a few days. Have had a few technical glitches......sorted now but enough to make DH go out a buy an external hard drive this week to back up all our photos of the DC, something we've been meaning to do for ages but hadn't got round to. Just in case.

Hope alls well.

Any new babies in the last few days???

I would guess not by the thread title !

AuldAlliance · 28/03/2009 20:53

Thanks purplemonkey.
A lost hour of sleep ... maybe DH was right to crash out at 7pm.

No mubmblechum, no new babies, though we're all waiting with bated breath for news of Clairey.

Night night all.

Schulte · 28/03/2009 20:56

Just logging on to say goodnight really - I guess there'll be a mini Clairey in the morning, good luck to her. Although am also wondering why they decided to induce her? Sleep tight everyone!

Bleuravin · 28/03/2009 21:07

No news from Clairey yet... I assume she's hard into labor by now.

Dh and I have sorted something out for the cot (sponge brushes) so things are not so bad now with that...

Don't talk to me about computer harddrives! That's what Dh has been puttsing with all day...good thing the baby cannot understand English yet! (hopefully things go better for you then for us mumble)

Yeah for DH's nesting and completing jobs at the Boffin house

Auld, I read Potter 1-3 without too much trouble when I was in France (5 years ago)...I'm trying to read 6 now (couldn't find 4 in the shop I was in) and find it much more difficult. I think I'm going to re-read the English version so I know the story a little better and then when I do not recognise the french word/phrase at once, I may be able to re-call what it means because I remember the English. I'd love to know of some more books with good stories so I could continuely refresh my skills. My reading level is probably about 8yrs old though so I find it a little difficult.

bronze · 28/03/2009 21:26

mumble you've had me checking my phone every half an hour you've been so quiet

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 21:29

Auld - men eh! lol they just cant take the pace

Mumble - nope no more babies but clairey should be in labour by now if not had baby clairey

Night Schulte xx

had a lovely day shopping and walking and drinking RL tea...and nothing doing

But DD and I had had fun

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 28/03/2009 21:51

Mathsmummy - as long as you and dd had a fun day thats all that matters

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 22:21

Ooh, Clairey's making progress! Maybe she's even got the baby by now! Exciting reading!

Puzzle, purple & Boffin, thanks for the reassurance on the filthy sex Where there's a will(y)...

The M&S polycotton nighties image made me

Boff, things must be desperate if you're trading sexual favours for a working washing machine Especially despite the head torch

Bleu, nice to see that your DH is more matter of fact about these things than mine & his wet leg concerns

mathsmummy27 · 28/03/2009 22:25

lol at will(y)

how are you Springy?

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 22:28

I'm not bad, thanks. Increasingly uncomfortable & couldn't feel further from labour if I tried (despite the building momentum previously! I may go & have go feel of my cevix in a minute to see what's going on), but I'm okay. Went out to Morrisons & bought some lovely food (including some olives from the deli counter because of Boff's evil food porn teasing earlier) & feel better now. & my family are visiting tomorrow

How are you?

OddEyes · 28/03/2009 22:34

Ohh Clairy! Hope everything goes well for you and lo!
Just back from lovely meal with lots of friends. Felt ever so strange and uncomfortable and having periody cramps at bottom of bump very 15/20 minutes, lots and lots of plug (most had so far), needing poos.... Nurse friend and other mums announced that it must be labour and got all excited - I am still not sure so thinking it probably not although would be perfect timing. Have prepared everything just in case and have taken some paracetamol just now before bed. Thing is these are all general pregnancy feeling too so am not getting at all excited.
Lovely to have a night out though

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 22:36

Ooooh, OddEyes! I'm excited & hopeful, even if you're reluctant to get your hopes up yet Keep us updated! xx

OddEyes · 28/03/2009 22:37

Fact that i am here also makes me think can't be - anyways night all and sorry trista!

mathsmummy27 · 28/03/2009 22:37

I just don't get the olive thing..they don't do it for me. Boff has scared me with her MW telling-off, so I'm trying to leave mine alone

Often happens just when you relax OddEyes..maybe you will go to bed and wake up in labour

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 22:37

good luck oddeyes, obviously you didn't feel that bad, you posted anyway!

mathsmummy27 · 28/03/2009 22:38

Anyone like to join me in some RLT and mini eggs?

surprisenumber3 · 28/03/2009 22:38

ooh can't wait to hear from Clairey - do they induce you shortly after turning the baby then?

Oddeyes too, does sound very much like labour!

Still getting the tightenings here, about every 20 mins, but for 1.5 days now so I doubt it's anything to get excited about. I've never had a show in any of my pregnancies so far...I want one!

Night all, hope we wake up to at least two new babies tomorrow!

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 22:39

I know - I've not touched mine in ages, but she said that every few days is okay, so I don't feel too guilty about it. Now I just have to summon the energy to go to the toilet. Much as DH loves me, I'm not sure he wants to see me rummaging for my cervix at the other end of the sofa

What did you buy with your DD today?

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 22:39

would love to but have heartburn, and ate the last rennie about half an hour ago
you enjoy them though

surprisenumber3 · 28/03/2009 22:41

I'm having some RLT MM, I actually quite like it now! Have been making an easter bonnet for DS2 tonight and been pigging out on choc whilst doing that. Not my fault though, DS's were on the laptops on the dining room table so I had to use the breakfast bar which is right under the treat cupboard (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!).

SpringySunshine · 28/03/2009 22:41

I could go for some mini eggs please, yeah

I have some cream cakes in the fridge for anyone who'd like to help themselves.

I'm really not sure what's going on with Clairey's induction. I was thinking about this. Do you think it could be that the baby won't turn, so they're going for a natural breech delivery - & going for it before the baby gets too big? That'd make sense to me if it avoided a CS, but I don't know if that'd happen in the medical world.

tristaleejac · 28/03/2009 22:45

Right I'm off to bed. Hope you all have your babies during the night!
Look forward to all the birth announcements tomorrow xxx
