Hello! Still here
Contractions got worse with back pain despite paracetamol, was convinced by 1am that it was labour. Couldn't sleep properly kept waking with contractions and gutted to see only 10 minutes past. Had very rapid and uncomfortable bowel movements (sorry TMI) and more plug. Had shower, shaved legs - seemed incredibly important at that point. Bounced on ball and ate some chocolate. Went back to bed about 3 and got to sleep pretty soonish. Expecting to wake ready to go to hospital, but woke up feeling completely normal again.
Twas a false labour type thing, me thinks, maybe caused by upset bowels irritating neighbour?
Anyways makes me think that sweep tomorrow and induction on thursday have good chances of being sucessful and has got dh and I to nest some more this morning. (Missed church cause of time thing )

bronze · 29/03/2009 13:44

Swali will be induced, various people with contractions, Claireys already well underway.

Does getting up to get another chocolate truffle from the cupboard count as exercise?

Schulte · 29/03/2009 14:11

Ha ha I love listening to DD bossing DH around! 'Go downstairs, Papa, go downstairs now. Come on Papa. Downstairs. Come on. Thank you.'

Bleuravin · 29/03/2009 14:42

no news from Clairey

I slept late (after MIL called and asked if I had had the baby yet?!? at 8 am after being up late working on things. Not half hour later SIL did the same!?! Did I accidentally send out a 'I'am in 3rd stage labor' memo and forget? Bloody Hell!) and then went to homebase for more cot paint now am home again and in bed with more of my own back pain and an intense desire for nap, but everytime I fall asleep something wakes me up.

I have phone and laptop on bed with me to let you know about Clairey as soon as I know.

BabyBolat · 29/03/2009 15:02

Wow, look at everyone starting to get signs - do you think they will induce Swali if it is pe or will they try and get everything back down to normal first?

Sure Clairey is snuggling her Lo as we type!!

Schultes as far as I am concerned leaning over to get a chocolate of the side is exercise!!!

Having a really day today, feeling really clingy to DH and I hate it!!! One minute I am bitching at him and the next minute I am feeling all needy and pathetic!! Am also just feeling a bit bored and fidgety - have read 2 books, cleaned the house (it doesn't need tidying), been to the supermarket (not that we actually needed anything) just to keep myself occupied!!

Schultes bless your DD!

bronze · 29/03/2009 15:24

If its pe then they probably will induce her. PE cant be cured and only stops with the ending of the pregnancy. Shes near enough the end that they'll probably just go for it rather than risking hanging around to give the baby more time.

AuldAlliance · 29/03/2009 15:28

Just back from lunch at friends' house.

So is no one going to admit to having posted a link where I can get free access to films, then? Go on, I dare ya...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 29/03/2009 15:38

Schulte · 29/03/2009 16:49

Told DH I was going upstairs to do my toenails (yes, I can still just about do them myself!) but getting a sneaky 5 mins of MN in.

Very quiet here today? Hope that means you're all having good days - apart from BB with her cabin fever, poor you! Will all be over soon for you, promised!

Took DD to the swimming pool and she loved it although I didn't get much swimming done. I was basically just bobbing around the learner's pool looking fat and doing a hippo impression

surprisenumber3 · 29/03/2009 16:51

poor Swali, I would say they will induce her now. When I had PE they kept the baby in until 34 weeks so he had a good chance but there were women on the ward who had it more severe than me and they were induced as early as 27 weeks. I would think at Swali's gestation they would be quick to induce as it can progress so rapidly.

Good luck Swali x

BoffinMum · 29/03/2009 17:05

Poor Swali.

Nutty, perhaps more dark green than that. Some of those throws are really lovely but with three boys in the house and the associated chocolately fingers offensive, I would not dare buy a Nina Campbell one (can't afford it anyway, tbh). But I tell you something, when I win the lottery I am getting you in as my interior designer.

DH and FIL playing with birthing pool inflating system and pumping it up a bit more. Just as well as I am having huge BH's at the moment after a bit of a post-prandial roll-together (FINALLY!!) I am told DH is now at my service as he has cleared the decks at work sufficiently to face impedning fatherhood once again.

Swaliswan · 29/03/2009 18:05

Well, I'm back from the hospital and still pg! Thankfully my blood pressure came back down to normal overnight and baby decided to start moving normally again. Not even a trace of protein in urine this morning The hospital managed to not do the most important blood test last night so I had to have it done this morning. The results came back this afternoon and all is fine. I'm at the midwife on tuesday afternoon and will get BP and urine checked then. I'm under strict instructions to phone the hospital if I get symptoms of PE again or if I get the significantly reduced foetal movements again. This whole episode has scared me into relaxing and accepting any help offered. As much as anything, I don't want to upset my DD by not being there for her.

Thank-you Nutty for updating people and everyone else for your concern.

BabyBolat · 29/03/2009 18:10

Oh Swali I am really glad your OK (although was kind of hoping for a baby announcement!!!)

You absolutely MUST take it easy and let everyone help out and treat you like the fully-pregnant woman you are!

How you feeling now?

PuzzleRocks · 29/03/2009 18:24

Hi Swali. I'm glad you are ok. BB is right, please stay off your feet.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 29/03/2009 18:24

It's been such a quiet day today! All that action yesterday and still no babies...

We've been having twinges for the past 2 days too - strong enough to make me catch my breath and bend over, but no pattern to them at all. Backache from hell but no waters or plug - so am waiting... like everyone else here...

BB = How's my buddy doing this afternoon? Glad to see you're a Jenson fan too... not only is he a great driver, who is now in a great car, but he's really cute too...

BoffinMum · 29/03/2009 18:27

Yey Swali, that is good news. Get those feet up, woman!!

mathsmummy27 · 29/03/2009 18:29

I have recently discovered the sheer genius of clingy tunics and leggings. oooooooooooooooh so comfy

Well it's nearly April and no Amelia my boss will lose her bet if it's not in the next three days...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 29/03/2009 18:34

BB - takling of bets ...........we've both lost

I hope Clairey is okay, can't wait to hear!

My tightenings have slowed down loads now, not had many today. Time for the RLT me thinks!!
