Even if it doesn't seem like it most of the time

My anomaly scan is at the end of April, only 4 weeks to wait Between now and then it's the Easter holidays and then dd is having an op to correct her squint, so I have plenty to keep me occupied.

I've been feeling pretty sorry for myself recently, I had a break from the antiemetics to check I still needed them... well I do... so I had a rough couple of days. I'm feeling much better today now that the stemetil is back in my system. I've also had a physio referral (must ring this morning and book) as I have sciatica and twinges of SPD. I was really hoping for a break between the throwing up and the back/pelvic pain but it doesn't look like I'm going to get it

LizLemon we scanned dd's scan pics which were done five years ago, they are still fine. We've done our 12 week scan for this one with no problems at all. Our reasoning was that if they are going to fade, we would like a permanent copy.

Neddie funny how you are convinced you're having boys because you aren't being sick - everyone in RL seems to be convinced I'm having a boy because I am . Are you going to find out? I think we will have to, dd has her heart set on a little brother so we need to give her time to prepare if it turns out to be a girl.

I hope all the viruses are past their worst, we seem to have got away with stomach bugs thus far

Morning - sorry to hear about the fall Lizlemon and hope you are feeling better Stretch.

Went to GP yesterday to ask about horrible cramps I am getting in my calf muscles while asleep - agony. He gave me a bit of advice about making sure I am properly hydrated and even to have a small drink of salted water in the evening in case salts are low. No cramps last night so fingers crossed I have a fix.

Also was a bit spoiled as we had a listen to baby heartbeat too! That should banish my paranoia (at leat for another week ). Less than three weeks until anomoly scan.

At least I got to leave work on time so I could get to the doctors - sadly no excuse tonight.

Hello ladies!

As per usual, apologies for not keeping in contact. Well this pregnancy malarkey is all a bit of an experience - thought I'd managed to get rid of the morning sickness 2 weeks ago on my 12th week, but 4 days ago it came back with bells on - eeurrgghh!! I've been told by EVERYONE (truly everyone) that it should miraculously disappear in the next couple of weeks. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes.

On a completely different note, haven't got a date yet for my 20 week scan - though have spent the day trying to talk to my midwife as have a feeling my records are wrong - they've got my EDD as 24th September 2010!! Blimey an 18 month pregnancy?!!

As for the alcohol thread, had a small beer the other night (it was my birthday) and enjoyed it - but off the wine - think it's still a bit too acidic for my taste at the mo.

Hi everyone... good to see a new thread. I had a consultant appointment this week as they are having to keep an extra close eye on my pregnancy this time. Apparently I'm going to have my blood pressure checked about every 5 moinutes as I'm at high risk of developing pre-eclampsia again. So that will be fun. Not that I mind really, I'd rather we were both well.
Next scan date is 12th May. Already stressing about it, but that's nothing new for me

Hope you're all well today

Funnily enough I don't fancy wine - yet love it usually. I'm pleased that I haven't fancied alcohol at all. Not living up to my name at the moment

Off for a hot bath in the hope it might help my cold - not too hot though.

JRocks · 27/03/2009 16:02

All I seem to fancy is very cold lager

I'm gonna push the boat out tonight and crack open an alcohol free beer.

I'm not going to be able to stop thinking about it now. Maybe a very weak shandy will do the trick with dinner...

Honestly JRocks - try icy cold becks, alcohol free! It's lovely! Will be my drink during summer with all the BBQs we're going to have because it's going to be a lovely summer!

I absolutely will when I next go to Tesco - I just can't be bothered today! And I think DP might be a bit if I go especially for alcohol free lager

When I was pregnant with DS last year (mad fool!) DH asked me to grab him a beer from the kitchen. He had been a bit sniffy about the alcohol free stuff and said they were 'girly' and he would be able to tell the difference between beers!
So.......I gave him one of mine and he drank the lot not knowing it was alcohol free! He did say after it was nice and now drinks them when we go out and he drives!!

babylady ouch! I suffered from terrible cramps in my calves with dd2! Was told it's due to low salt levels. I haven't had it this time, but I'm craving really salty foods so that might be keeping it at bay.

What's going on folks?? A few of you mention nosebleeds...I have had a bit of one tonight - never had one in my life!

Mmm I had a guinness and black the other week, made the mistake of telling mw and got filthy looks from her!!

Nosebleeds are down to increased blood volume, with progesterone bringing extra blood to the soft membranes in your nose, making them soften and swell. Nice.

I've craved lager too - my friend said she did all the way through her last pregnancy. Think I'll investigate the becks...

Also posted scan pic

Lol StayFrosty!!

Cute scan pics, mine is just a blob as I had it at 8 weeks!! Looks like a peanut or wotsit!!

May post it though!

Well DH has taken DD2 to her friend's party and has to stay there Lol!! It's at a farm park so I can't go as there's lots of lambs being born and they get to feed them (very cute) so I didn't want her to miss out! He's not impressed! I think he wanted an afternoon of x-box!

And now it's raining!!

With DS I had a scan at 6 weeks and one at about 9 weeks. On the first one he looked like a fried egg (thanks for pointing that out Dad ) and on the second he looked a bit like a rabbit! Talking to MIL before she'd seen it, and she asked "Can they tell if it's a boy or girl?". When she saw it she understood why we had POSL!

I didn't get to have a scan at 12 weeks as the ealier one counted as my dating scan. After having 3 million scans (slight exageration!) with the other 3 dcs and 2 m/cs, I wasn't too bothered! But looking forward to anomaly scan!

We're going to find out what sex, (always have done!) Are any of you?
