Just wanted to check in on you all, and wish those of you still waiting all the best.

Congratulations to those of you who now have your babes.

Hannah is 10 days old today, and being a very good girl! BF is going well - i think! Her big sister has taken to her brilliantly, and I can't believe how much more relaxed I am second time around.

For those of you very overdue, as I was, there is a positive side - you will be so glad not to be pregnant anymore, you will have a new lease of life when you really need it!

All the best x

lollipopz · 28/03/2009 19:45

Hi all ot had time to catch up properly, just a wee note to say baby Joshua arrived safe and well on thursday 26th of March (2 days early), weighing in at 8lb 30z!
Natural birth with only G and A. Contractions kicked in properly around 9pm on wednesday, although they had been teasing me for a few days! Waters went at 1am and had to transfer to hospital as there was meconium in them. Spent the rest of my time strapped to the bad with continuous monitoring but all was fine and he arrived healthy and needed no help breathing, and mummy needed no stitches, just a wee tiny graze.
He has made our family erfect 2 girls and 2 boys and we are all so in love with him he has slotted in perfectly.
Just adding pics they should be on in a few minutes.
Good luck and congrats to every one L xx

Wheelybug · 28/03/2009 21:33

Ladylush - that's great news. I really hope everything continues to go well - you deserve it.

Congratulations Bumblbeee on Anna - great name (dd1 is Anna) and congratulations on Joshua Lollipopz (love that name too !).

more sympathies to those still waiting and fed up and good luck for all the sweeps/inductions booked.

lollipopz · 28/03/2009 21:57

my DD1 is Anna too!

kanga5 · 29/03/2009 09:49

congrats to bumblbee and lollipopz. Anna is a name on my list too, it is lovely. Very dramatic birth story too. Lollipopz you sound so content, not going for number 5 then!!!

I will be 41 weeks tomorrow and I felt a bit down yesterday that I have no signs of labour at all still, and am booked for sweep on Wednesday. Induction most likely on Friday if the sweep has no effect. Maybe not a March baby after all. At least it is summertime now!!

I should not be surprised at this however as all 4 DC have been late, 2 at 4 days over and 2 at 12 days over, but it is getting very hard work just getting up and looking after everyone.

corgi I also feel I will be like this forever now, maybe i just ate a rather large pudding and are not pregnant after all..

kanga5 · 29/03/2009 10:07

hello spooky I am very envious of your sweep tomorrow!! good luck and hope it works for you.

rubyring · 29/03/2009 11:34

hey kanga5 i am 41 wks tomorrow too, i agree it's so tiring just getting up, and i've only got 2 others, so am full of admiration for you with 4!! am having sweep on tues, induction fri...maybe we'll have our tiddlers at the same time! all my contractions have fizzled out bah...good luck with your sweep spooky xx

kanga5 · 29/03/2009 12:44

rubyring very good luck for tuesday then. Don't know about you but i am not keen to get all the way to friday. sounds like you have been making some progress though with some CTX hope they ramp up after sweep...

lolianja · 29/03/2009 15:01

Congrats to everybody who's popped now! Seems so strange to read about a baby Anna when Jimmy was Anna for 3 minutes after birth. Still haven't quite got over the immense shock when we realised it was a boy! And "she" would have been Rosie if Anna hadn't suited. So v odd (in a nice way) to read about the arrivals of an Anna and a Rosie!

Hope everybody's well and happy. James is nearly 12lbs now and his already plentiful hair has thickened and "multiplied" several-fold. He looks significantly older than a-month-on-Wednesday.

corgikelly · 29/03/2009 16:49

Hmmm - could this be the start of something?

After mainlining raspberry leaf tea for the past 24 hours and indulging in duck-pineapple curry last night, I've lost my mucous plug, am having a fair bit of brownish show and period-like back pains.

Hmmm.

Wheelybug · 29/03/2009 17:19

Wow at all these Annas and potential Annas ! I always say on name threads you don't meet many of them !!

Corgi - hope it is the start of smething - good luck !

corgikelly · 29/03/2009 19:11

Bah humbug.

'Tis a lot of sound and fury signifying absolutely nothing.

My kingdom for a contraction!

Grump.

twocutedarlings · 29/03/2009 21:16

Corgi YAY!!!

Should be the start of something!!, as the show showed some blood, its a sign that your cervix is starting to dilate .

Keep plodding and waddling girls, it wont be long now

grinningbee · 29/03/2009 22:37

Sounds promising Corgi! Vibes being sent your way.

Apart from increased BH sod all happening here...

lilymolly · 30/03/2009 07:27

Hey off to hospital in an hour for the dreaded nduction

Wish me luck ladies

Will prob be back home tomorrow, so will post with news

Good luck everyone else

LM X

corgikelly · 30/03/2009 07:30

Good luck with your induction today, lilymolly!

Alas, absolutely nothing on my end after yesterday's show; I've been dilated between 1-2 cm for the past couple of weeks, so I guess the plug etc was just taking its own sweet time. Looks like the induction is inevitable...

Last night was the first time I've ever gotten FED UP with the whole thing my back hurt, my belly felt ginormous, couldn't sleep, blah blah blah. Oh well not THAT much longer to wait in the grand scheme of things, I suppose.

grinningbee · 30/03/2009 08:10

Good luck today Lilymolly Corgi it's rotten isn't it. I'm only 40 + 4 so a few days behind you. I had a terrible night the other night and I could have just cried. I'm fed up of people asking if she's here yet (oh yes, she's here, I just stuffed a cushion up my front!!)

I've not had a show or anything. Just got increased pelvic pain and lots more braxton hicks. I'm off in a bit to register at a new doctors because we moved (should be fun at this stage!) and then off to a couple of supermarkets if I have the energy.

Time to wallow in the bath first though!

corgikelly · 30/03/2009 08:59

As you say, grinning, I never WILL understand people who keep asking if the baby's here. These aren't people who are only marginally in the loop, either - they're people like our parents! And best friends!

I told my mother yesterday that I figured I'd get around to letting her know her first grandchild has arrived some time at around, oh, the kindergarten stage...

Grumpy grumpy pregnant lady now off for a long walk in the hopes of jarring something loose.

Boobz · 30/03/2009 09:27

Hi everyone! You lot still 'ere?

First off, congrats to Meep and Bumblebee on your lovely daughters! Am very of your 2 hour labour Bumbleebee, even with the drama! And well done Lollipoz on Joshua -- sounds like you do indeed have the perfect little family with 2 of each now.

Good luck for your induction today lilymolly - you might have already have started by now, as it's almost 9:30. Inductions don't sound easy but at least you will be with your LO VERY soon indeed.

Hope your sweep works for you this morning Spooky, and am sorry to hear you are still hanging on Ruby. Not much longer now though, surely?!

Dammit Corgi your earlier post sounded so promising (was exactly how my latent labour started). Sending you labour vibes in spades.

We had a Wetting the Baby's Head do at the pub around the corner from our house yesterday, with about 30 people turning up in the end! Was quite the little party and it was so lovely to be able to show Penelope off. I have a smaller set of Streatham Mums friends which I met through Mumsnet (and ante-natal yoga) who all came with their babies and it was amazing to finally be one of the gang properly! We had all met up when we were all still pregnant back in August, and one by one they have all popped and I was the forever pregnant one (as I met them first when I was just 9 weeks! yep - eager beaver Boobz) so it was mad to see them all for the first time without a bump and with a baby! Not sure they even recognised me

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! xx

Boobz · 30/03/2009 09:27

Oh and me thinks Titmouse has now got a baby - she's been far too quiet...

kanga5 · 30/03/2009 10:48

even though you've gone, lilymolly, good luck for today and sorry to hear it didn't all get going over the weekend.

I fear I am in the same boat this week. Felt some stronger period type pains last night, but nothing to show for it still this morning.

was very teary last night, DD wouldn't go to bed easily, maybe the change in time or perhaps she senses I am going away for a bit.

sure enough at school drop off this morning I knew a particular lady would say still here then? She has said it every day last week and I snapped a bit, "yes very helpful!!" Not too original, better to say nothing.

grinningbee · 30/03/2009 11:01

Kanga I think we're allowed to snap when people ask very obviously stupid questions!

Permission for a small rant please?

I had a few things planned today. Registering at new doctors, and then off to a couple of shops for some bits and bobs. It's a beautiful day and I wanted to get out of the house and try and get things going iykwim.

Anyway, got ready, coat and shoes on... where are my car and house keys?

Oh, my DH has taken them to work with him

Just got a text from him saying sorry, so I sent one back saying not to worry, I'll make do with cleaning the house instead. Guilt trip? Moi??

kanga5 · 30/03/2009 11:05

grinningbee that is bound to bring on baby just when you plan to do a few last minute things!
I have been cleaning like mad this morning, now back hurts.

grinningbee · 30/03/2009 11:12

I was hoping it would Kanga, but seeing as I can't leave the house now....

I'll just have to watch telly and eat biscuits instead I will do a bit of cleaning too, just for the guilt factor

kanga5 · 30/03/2009 11:12

ok here's the plan for this week:

41 weeks today, suddenly go into labour on this beautiful day while DH at work and DSs at school.

If that doesn't work, sweep on Wednesday, the Fool's day. DH will have day off as doesn't want to be in City anyway.

Have April baby and a few days peace before the two week school holidays.

If that doesn'y work , baby will be induced on Friday, yikes. No peace at home for two weeks!!!!!
