congrats MKG! beautiful name for your daughter.

Yarnie you'll be at the birthing centre by now but good luck and hope to hear good news very soon.

wheresmybump · 17/03/2009 17:32

Hi all, hope everyone's ok.i haven't posted in ages and should probably change my name to "wheres my feet" but i just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who's already given birth and thanks to boobz for that photo! Good luck yarnie and MKG thats a lovely name

laweaselmys · 17/03/2009 18:25

Have added my first PG me photo to my profile. A friend insisted I take a photo of me all fat to cheer her up so figured I would share it here too.

MKG So good to read your birth story. Big congratulations! And such a beautiful name

I'm back from the birth centre. I expected as much, so didn't take my bag or anything. It seems likely that the waters are just my hindwaters, so I might not get a rapid progression. I've been sent home with instructions to call in the morning with a report, if I don't end up at the centre sooner. In the meantime, I'm bouncing on my ball before an early supper and then we're off for a brisk walk around the block!

Yarnie · 17/03/2009 18:31

P.s. laweaselmys - you look very neat and tidy in your picture. I'm quite

jollyjoanne · 17/03/2009 18:38

Congrats MKG yet another quick labour!

Boobz love the photo - hysterical!

Law very jealous - slightly worryingly I think my bump is probably still that big a week after Mae's eviction! So I am very very .

no baby yet......been around friends house, played in the garden, saw midwife, walked 2 miles with 2 dogs 3 year old and a dolls pushchair and still no fecking signs

Lovely midwife promised to do a sweep a week from today rather than 10 days which is a little bit better, but I am sure last time around with dd my cervical assessment was rather painful...anyone care to fill me in on the gory details.

TBH I am bit embarrassed about getting fanjo out in public and letting her poke around.

God that sounds pathetic exp when I have already given birth once

Congrats to all those lucky ones who have had their lovely little babies x

pipsy76 · 17/03/2009 19:44

Congrats on all the new arrivals! I'm loving this time with my little one and really enjoying just cuddling him all day and night, I call him my continuum concept baby!

Meep / re spinal. I was dreading the spinal more than the surgery as previously it had taken 2 anesthetists 1 hour and several attempts to site my epidural, anyway they got the spinal in first time and it honestly did not hurt.

corgikelly · 17/03/2009 20:14

Oh my, MKG - way to show the newbies how it's done!

Good luck to everyone who's getting ready over the next couple of days.

I got very weepy tonight as today I've had a bad piles flare-up for the first time in ages. I'd forgotten how much they can hurt, and it started me snivelling, dreading what's going to happen in them thar regions as I'm pushing...if even going to the loo can set them off (TMI, I know), what on EARTH is labour going to do? Will they get better eventually after birth, or am I doomed to holding my breath and gritting my teeth every time I sit down or stand up? Woe is me.

Hmmm - am feeling odd back pain - not the dull ache of cramps, more like a corset of barbed wire that reaches around toward my front, constricts and then dribbles off. Time to be a-Googling.

Boobz · 18/03/2009 06:38

Well done MKG - I knew you'd have had her by now. And a lovely sister for your 2 boys - you must be so happy.

Law it looks like you and me are on the same clean / cinema cycle. I would really appreciate the baby arriving today into a lovely tidy house! So of course I'll be sitting here in 2 weeks time cursing having gone overdue and needing to clean the sodding house again.

Niggly back pains which have actually got me up and out of bed at 6:20am so now DH and dog have joined me - everyone's up! Better take dog for walk.

How are you doing Yarnie - are you back off to the birth centre this morning?

Right, better remove offending photo ha ha ha.

See y'all later xxx

that's a lovely story fearless, especially after the initial worries about baby distress and hospital change.. i hope I can have such a good birth.

congratulations again

agree TENS is GOOD!!!

Boobz · 18/03/2009 11:55

Just lost my plug - weeeeeee!

lollipopz · 18/03/2009 12:01

Congrats MKG and good luck to Yarnie and Lauren.
Nothing at all happening here but still 9 days of due date so not expecting any thing for a while! Was willing baby to stay put last week as dcs all had sicknes bug and my washing machine broke down in the middle of it all, but thankfully all sorted now so baby can appear any time it likes x

jollyjoanne · 18/03/2009 12:08

Ooooh Boobz how exciting. Hopefully things will be moving along shortly.

Fearless congrats on the birth and yet another relatively positive story and experience. Glad at least part of it was the natural birth you were looking for.

jollyjoanne · 18/03/2009 12:24

Right for those of us who have had babies and may want to chat new baby stuff - whatever that may include - breastfeeding, baby poo colours etc I have started a post natal thread.

If I can get the link thing to work, try this",

titmouse · 18/03/2009 12:28

bet I'll be the last person still on this thread!!

kanga5 · 18/03/2009 12:52

or I will be last, even April. Planning to ask MW tomorrow if I can get a date for induction so at least I will know an end date.

hooray boobz, I lost one once upon a time followed by waters breaking and baby 3 days later!!!

lollipopz sorry to hear of sickness bug. I had that with the whole family just after half term. In fact I have said NO to DS2 party invite at a playcentre as I am terrified of them all picking up something just as baby arrives, which is not good for baby, nor me especially if DH laid low just when I need him!!!

twocutedarlings · 18/03/2009 13:49

GOSH!! i have so much catching up to do!! lol

YAY!! boobz i had DD2 within 3 hours of loseing my plug

Boobz · 18/03/2009 13:56

That's what I want to hear! Yay!

twocutedarlings · 18/03/2009 14:20

How are you feeling Boobz any niggles?

What colour was your show? (sorry if i am asking for TMI) but apparently if it has blood in it then this is a sign of dilation

Boobz · 18/03/2009 14:22

No blood - just a big gloop of stringy snot like goo. Went for a wee about half an hour later and found some more - nice.

Getting back pain which kinda turns into lower tummy pain every 10-15 mins or so, but nothing that painful - totally manageable at the moment. Am not convinced things have properly kicked off yet - think I am going to go have a nap if I can to conserve energy though, just in case!

And baby is moving around A LOT.

jollyjoanne · 18/03/2009 14:27

sounding like the start of something boobz I'd definitely try and get some rest in case it all starts getting more serious later on today. I started with some period pain style cramps and back ache, and the baby arrived later that day.

twocutedarlings · 18/03/2009 14:36

Certainly sounds like the start of something to me Boobz , so defo try and rest, dont worry it will wake you when things kick off.

Alex was wriggling good style all the way through my labour!!
