Single use only, or, as you say, re-sheath and re-use? Greener to re-use. Though not re-use in a salad, obviously.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 11:53

well you could have 2 for the price of one as tis doulble ended after all......dual playtime

Hi Clairey, thanks for the info. So, questions (of a non-salad-drawer nature):

Perineal massage - it's awfully hard work, more strenuous than hoovering. Does anyone bother?

Home birth - too late in the day to be thinking about this? I am going to talk to MW tomorrow. Does anyone have experience of home birth for first one?

Bleuravin · 02/03/2009 11:55

Hi everyone, Not feeling too well lately and computer connection has been acting up.
Went into the hospital for a short saty (4 hours) on Thursday because MW was concerned when she came to see me cause BP was highish and I had blood in my urine... it came to nothing as everything tested normal at hospital..but today I feel 'ugg' and hope it's just the cold Dh has and I've caught...baby moving fine so not too worried.
Anyway I'm back to bed in a moment, didn't want anyone to worry.
I probably won't be on until the next thread. Hope everything is well with everyone else. I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up with having missed 2 threads..but I'll try skimming later when I wake up again.

Juwesm · 02/03/2009 11:57

Suspect a half-cucumber wouldn't be the way forwards for that particular scenario

15 minutes I was away for - ordered DH's new iPhone, made some toast and checked the cats weren't playing with my dangling nappies in the garden and I come back to this!

Firstly Bleu, poo for feeling bad but glad all is ok - we were a bit worried about you (don't worry about catching up - in short, Springy went in to labour the baby didn't come out so she is home, Springy, Smutty and Boff are lowering the tone - as is the new girl!!!! ) so no major change!!! And we have gone through yet another thread in record time!!! Oh and Barbarelly's triplets come tomorrow!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:07

BB - nicely summed up there!! well done!

Sorry to interrupt girls - Hello Juwesm! Welcome to wonderful Mumsnet. Enjoy chatting to all the fantastic ladies found here, particularly those on this thread.

As you were....

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:14

Juwsem - Boff & Puzzle are who you need re Homebirth, kitty is having one too. still not too late as far as i'm aware.

perenial massage - i cant reach and i would be a danger to myself if i tried right now so haven't bothered.

OP posts:
Juwesm · 02/03/2009 12:18

Thanks Marthasmama (if the smuttiness becomes excessive, blame her for bringing me here!)

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 12:23

Perenial massage - tis supposed to be good, but I would have no idea what I was doing it would probably cause more harm than good!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:25

right sensible question from me for a change and unrelated to babies but....

am reading Phillip Pulman His Dark materials

Can i skip the Northern lights?? it seems to me after reading 6 chapters that it is written for film and reads exactly like the film, which i have seen, so feel i'm wasting my time.

secondly i'm a bit narked cos he said quite rude things about JK Rowling and so far her writing style and storytelling is far superior to his. is it worth me actually reading his books at all?? do i just wait for the films? as it seems they will be pretty much identical to the films anyway.

and thats unheard of for me as i always preffer books to films and generally get frustrated when films dont represent books iyswim

sorry that turned into a sort of rambling rant LOL

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 12:26

I don't know who he is... sorry!

BabyBolat · 02/03/2009 12:26

But if you are bored and frustrated already I wouldn't bother reading anymore!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:27

the film is the golden compass

We're planning to start our perineal massage next week - should be entertaining...

As for homebirths, DH and I are super keen, as is our lovely midwife. Apparently you can choose this option anytime up to 36 weeks - they just need some time to prepare the kit, which they deliver at 38 weeks - but I reckon it'll depend on your MW and how flexible she can be.

Is anyone else really, really knackered today? I'm feeling soooo sleepy even though I had a little snooze on the couch after the leaking drama this morning, but I could quite easily go back to my (damp) bed and crash for another hour or two... I forgot to take my iron tablets to Wales, could this be why? Or am I just tired of fighting with upstairs landlords while having funny contractions?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:30

Kitty - possibly down to the iron, but i feel bushed constantly lately and my iron is fine as far as i know.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 02/03/2009 12:30

Yes, I'm still getting squeezed... I'm in denial though, and don't want to admit that I'm a bit scared - esp after Springy's hectic weekend!

BTW, how is our newlywed friend today? It's not like her to miss a cucumber conversation...

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:32

Juwesm - excessive smuttyness is all good

OP posts:
KittyCatIsGettingFat · 02/03/2009 12:33

Hmm Nutty maybe I'll just go for a nap then... hopefully I'll feel a bit more like myself when the plumber arrives! Hope he's hot... like this

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 02/03/2009 12:33

i'm hoping shes resting, will give her a text later on this afternoon though if shes not on, see if she's ok.
