I KNOW!! seriously I am hoping my iPhone is sorted before I go into labour so I can be online non-stop! What else is there to do (it may also be the only way I can stop myself being nasty to DH!!!!)

Maybe it is a trick! I've been thinking about it - she had a whole thread about wedding planning, a thread about the wedding, maybe she is just teasing us so she can have a thread about the birth . 6 pages of springy time so far this thread!! hee hee - just joking springy!!

I am an hour away from Bristol and 3 hours from sheffield - whats most effective, driving to wake up Nutty or trecking up to the hospital???

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 09:11

Maybe if we all shout together she will hear us...

Are you ready....on the count of 3

WAKE UP NUTTY!!!!!!!!

mathsmummy27 · 01/03/2009 09:14

WAKE UP NUTTY!!!

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 09:14

You would probably have more success going straight to the source ie Springy in Sheffield.

I'm only 45 mins from Sheffield but DH is still in bed so I cant get him to watch DS and Im am notoriously good at gettting lost so its probably not a good idea me setting off on a mission I may never return!!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 09:19

no word from springy yet

I'm sure she would understand Nutty she knows just how impatient we are! Even if she cant reply surely her DH would he seems quite accepting of us!!!

Can you tell Im really desperate for news xXx

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 09:31

Springy - Nothings happening - long story short! had steroid injections still contracting hard, on co codamol & in pain still, but my cervix wont budge. have just been told that i'll probably go home this aftwernoon although until 5 mins ago it looked like another night. we'll see what happens, but it's all very unproductive xxx

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 09:49

I think she's quite capable of telling us to bugger off if she doesn't want any more texts. Or turning her phone off!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 09:51

Maybe they should have a quick shag so they can hang on to the single room! LOL

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 09:52

So does that mean she is in labour but not active?? I am really confused!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 09:54

cont....its ok it's just a bit frustrating. my uterus wants him out, but my cervix is really stoubbourn. to the point of "probably needing induction at 40wks. i dont know what they expect, though - I AM in a sort of labour, but they're just sending me home and i'm still having painful contractions every 7 mins WITHOUT MOVING. Not hugely impressed to be honest. I'm just relying on bedrest for weeks now i think xx

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 09:56

FFS surely if they let her move round that would help??? or do you think she means that the contraction times arent changing???

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 09:58

I'm baffled as to how they think they can predict what her cervix will be like in 6 weeks' time. They should write a paper on that and become medical pioneers if they can do that.

Sounds like irritable uterus AGAIN! It must be as catching as the SPD.

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 09:59

I think she means without her moving - hopefully when she gets home she can move around a bit and get the cervix moving - does that mean this will continue for a another 6 weeks for her - she has the MW on Tuesday so hopefully they can be a bit more helpful!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/03/2009 10:00

shes gonna be knackered by 40 weeks if this carries on, surely they cant leave her till then??????????????????

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 10:04

Active labour doesn't actually start until the contractions are under 5 minutes apart but she will be so very tired if she is in this latent stage for 6 more weeks!
